Exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. Amazing food and some great music serve to set a great ambient atmosphere for a lovely, low key and wonderful evening
Nice vibe in this friendly Watekant bar/restaurant. Good happy Hour but early; from 16.00 till 18.00. several other offers. Check if they are open before going as the could have a function because of witch the kitchen is not available. Super music with a touch of NY and a touch of (South) Africa.
What a wonderful Sunday afternoon! The Piano Bar is definitely a meeting place for friends but also intimate enough for a romantic meal. We met friends for lunch. The waitrons are friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. Portions could be too small for someone wanting a larger bite to eat but nevertheless delicious.
An intimate and down-right romantic experience awaits you at The Piano Bar.
The food is superbly scrumptious and the live piano music is the perfect accompaniment to a cosy evening out.
There's a date night special once a week so take your loved one out for an unforgettable treat at this wonderful restaurant. Service is fantastic too. There's no faulting it! Go see for yourself.
Great atmosphere and staff! Enjoyed the live entertainment as well. I think it is very well situated in the Cape Quarter so it’s not too far from other places and still has ample parking outside.
There’s nothing better than a beautiful piano rendition of your favourite song while enjoying good company...
The food was good - we ordered tapas but they took longer than we expected. I think it may have been caused by the confusion of which waiter was serving us.
I’m in love with the decor and the atmosphere... (maybe because I’m a sucker for piano music...) 😅
Free heavenly cheese cake on your BIRTHDAY! I'd highly recommend some coffee and cocktails with that delicious cake even if it's not your birthday JUST DO IT
The piano bar is located among the many cafes on this cumbersome street, filled with people who are looking for a quiet evening in this bustling city.
The piano bar caters to this set of crowd, with beautiful live music and an equally charming service.
The place is little cramped up, with the bar being the highlight. The place serves the exclusive piano rose for its customers, which is made with all the time on earth. Our food arrived before that.
We had ordered the special for the evening, catch of the day-king fish. The fish was well cooked and the spinach complimented the taste perfectly.
The pulled lamb tacos was another highlight of the evening as the lamb just melted away in the mouth producing the best mix of fragrance and taste.
Although, we were a little disappointed with the piano bar mezze. It's a mix of different styles. We could sense the Indian spices and the freshness of the dish but somewhere it did not reach our expectations of a complete vegan platter.
The cheese platter was also ordinary and nothing was extraordinary about the dish.
This place Is worth a visit for its music and cocktails. Great place to have the perfect evening conversation with your loved ones.
I have always loved this place. I have been numerous times. My parents were visiting from out of the country and I wanted to go there to listen to the piano. Great music
walked into the @ThePianoBar on a sunday afternoon without expectations, it was one of the only places still open at that time of day around the cape quarter area. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. we waited quite a bit for our food to arrive, but this appears to be a commonality amongst most restaurants in cpt.
Live music, food and drinks.
Been here, a couple of times.
I'm never disappointed.
Service - good
Food - can't complain
Music - good
Drinks - large variety
Atmosphere - chilled
I cannot explain my love for this cosy, romantic Bar! Visited not to long ago for a Birthday and had the best experience, the staff were extremely friendly and very on point. They made every effort to make my friends birthday special. We had a pianist play on the night and he was so amazing! He played a set amount of songs and then stared taking in requests, probably one of the best nights in a long time. The live music is such a great touch to a night out.
The food was very well plated and tasty, however the falafel in the pita was extremely bland and undercooked.( please spice this up a tad)
The drinks are a tad expensive but in all its worth it for a night out especially if you'd love to sing along to a variety of old and new school tunes.
I'd advise anyone to pre book as space is pretty limited especially if you want to sit inside where the pianist plays.
