Where do I even begin, the staff on arrival was super professional and showed us to our seats. Our waiter for the evening, was as quick as he could be - the place was rather busy. The meat, the meat.... oh wow just wow! It was worth every cent spent. The ambience amazing, the decor too trendy for words. I would definitely recommend everybody try this place at least once!! I was impressed from the moment I stepped into the place until the moment I left. Definitely worth visiting and revisiting again.
Having been lucky enough to eat it some of the best restaurants in the world, this is without doubt joint first (with Botero in Vegas). In fact if we were to judge on just the management and staff this place is head and shoulders above anywhere. Many thanks to Wayne and the team for another wonderful night. PS have the prime rib you will thank me!!!!!
Incredible dining experience at Carne! The steak was flawless, the service and atmosphere were brilliant and we will definitely be returning.
Great food and adequate service, unexpected when the name of the restaurant is so “basic” and you expect something much more “ordinary”. Everything was high level and I hope to return soon.
A mandatory place in Cape Town. Very good staff always looking for giving you the best advice. And the meat... Uau! Made perfectly! But, don’t eat near the kitchen glass... too hot!

Divine ambiance, excellent food and service. Extensive wine list! Beautiful simple decor. Clandestine experience - romantic. Nice for a special occasion - can be a bit pricey, but worth it! 👌

My chicken was a bit watery and the broccoli /veg not tasty, the polenta gnocchi was odd and my friend did not want to finish her WHOLE 5 pieces of polenta "balls"
This was a weird experience, I expected better as I heard a lot about it but I don't eat meat...
My friend said her meat was not as good as before, it was also a very busy night...

A place that has become an annual tradition between my partner and I. There ability to keep the standard spot on, year after year, is just unbelievable.
I was taken out here for dinner as part of a recruiting exercise. This is an excellent venue and very smart-looking restaurant.
I am vegetarian and didn’t expect much from a place called ‘Carne’ — Portuguese for ‘meat’. I still enjoyed the food prepared for us, although it was heavily potato-based. It was slightly disappointing that some of the veg meals were side-orders for the meat eaters, but I think this comes down to the host’s chosen menu, and not Carne.
Even as a vegetarian, I would still recommend this place for its exceptional service, excellent venue, and well-prepared food. It’s ideal for a long dinner out with friends / family or for a celebration.
What can only be described as a life-changing steak, Carne has certainly spoiled my expectations of what a true prime cut is. This place has been bookmarked and will be visited soon and often.
Was an amazing dining experience. Marrow bones were a winner. My wife loved the lamb ravioli and carpaccio.
We shared the 1.2kg T bone. Rosemary marinade and flavoring was to die for.
Great wine selection (we are chianti biased) and a good grappa selection.
