Review Mynt Cafe - Camps Bay

Kyle Grovers
Very friendly service, pizza and sushi was delicious. If you are a lover of sushi, they have an All day sushi special and very affordable, happy hour is also good when it’s busy you would probably only be able to order like 3-4 cocktails, other than that, it’s worth coming back to. View and scenery is amazing, good music and atmosphere

Good spot! Good view. We sat at the top, on a kind of terrace. And you can look at the people, the street and the action. We had delicious burgers and beer to go with it. Nice service. Cool flair.

This was a phenomenal experience. The atmosphere was great. Very relaxed and jovial. The food was very good and a large portion. My wife could not finish her full meal. Guess who ate the rest. Besides that, we had great live Jazzy music of days gone by but still alive today. Definitely a venue for a relaxed and exciting time to enjoy your meal and listen to great music when the musician is available. Believe it or not the prices are more than reasonable. Give it a shot in Camps Bay.

What an Incredible Experience with Louis and Tracey. The Vibe and the Atmosphere even before we had anything to drink and or eat. The conversation and the mere fact that they honestly gave us their opinion on what we should try. And yes their suggestions were spot on. Then you get to the cocktails that made you crave more and we did. To having our wine in a stand with ice and we were offered to top up was really truly something you see in movies. Then the food and the presentation. Eating with your eyes before it touches your lips. Omgee my bff and could have spent the entire day there. Thanks to the incredible Team that made our Experience truly one for the books. We will definitely be coming back for more.

One of my favorite places to go. Never let down. Great specials. Amazing food and spectacular cocktails... Oh, and right on Camps Bay strip with a view and sunsets to die for

Awesome date nite with the wife, food was excellent. Nice little heaters set up all round to warm up the place abit. Loadshedding didn't have an impact at all everything continued as per normal. Dj booth in the corner , overall had a nice evening

Highly recommend! Caribbean shake was great! Prawns/Calamari and Cesar Salad were delicious! Nicely open to get fresh air from the ocean with stunning views of the boardwalk and beach. Felt comfortable with their COVID precautions - sanitizing, temp checks, and masks on correctly over staffs nose.

This was the second time we have been here. The first time the service was excellent but I didn't enjoy the ribs. This time the food was excellent but we were neglected once food was served. I had to chase someone to get deserts. It wad. Saturday so very busy and noisy.

Mynt Cafe was absolutely wonderful. The service was speedy and very friendly waiters. The management made sure that I was taken care of. The food is delicious. Definitely going back soon.

Tried Mynt for the first time a few months ago and can't wait to go back! One of the coolest spots I've tried in Cape Town for a chilled girls' night out, even during the week. Their drinks are amazing, they serve the best nachos and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend.
Amy Charnell
Came here on a cold winter evening and it was so warm and inviting. We received very kind service I would highly recommend. I’ve heard it gets really full here on a weekend. To avoid that a weekday afternoon or evening is perfect. Great burgers will definitely be back to try something different.

Went to Mynt for Ram Barkai's book launch. What a story it is. So incredible. (From Fire to Ice) Mynt was fantastic, beautiful setting, great service, particularly nice sushi! Was a fantastic event!

Lovely place, close to the beach. Great cocktails and food. Nice vibe. Seating inside and outside.

This place has some of the best service in Cape Town. The Corona " buy 2 buckets and get one free" special is great value for money. Tha food and music is great as well. Overall, I enjoyed my time. I'll be back.

Mynt Cafe is a perfect spot for a girls day out. Cocktails are fun and refreshing and they serve sushi specials 3 for 2!!
Leandi Barkhuizen
This place has it all! The view, the vibe, the cocktails. Everything is amazing. Defnitely worth it. Great specials.
Cally
Amazing atmosphere, great place for drinks and hanging out with your friends. Hands down serves the best cocktails I've had in Camps Bay, the staff and service was great, the ocean view is just the cherry on top.

Being a camps bay local I'm very disappointed with this restaurant all round. It's a complete rip-off in terms of prices and the for the quality of the food you get. Definitely catering for tourists and forgetting about the locals that keep the place running year round. R180 for 'box' calamari that is over-cooked and rubbery, which doesn't even include a side dish (R30 extra for chips or veg!). Not even the top restaurants on the strip charge this. Our waiter also mixed up our order and for those prices they can spend some money adding value to the bathrooms. Beautiful setting, but that's about it-won't be returning. Much nicer places to recommend to tourists on the strip. Such a pity because I used to really enjoy it.

Fantastic view, excellent food, great service! Seafood platter never disappoints. Could have larger variety of beers on tap, but otherwise, perfect! Well done to management and staff. Keep it up!

My new favourite place to go in campsbay! You guys never disappoint! Good food good drinks good value for money. The staff are fantastic! Louis was a great waiter this afternoon thank you! Tuscany Beach can learn a thing or 2 from you guys ❤❤❤❤

The location is just perfect as you roll down onto the Camps bay drag, but it is truly the staff and excellent cuisine (whether breakfast, lunch or dinner) with relaxed chic decor that wins you over!! Truly my favorite spot..and ideal location for a private party...the management and staff bent over backwards to ensure a fantastic function with fabulous food and service!!❤❤
Madeleine Scorgie
The three cheese burger I had was the worst I had eaten. The roll was stale and the burger tasteless. Thank goodness for the cheese that was on it. Setting us beautiful. I won't go back there again
Angelo Laidlaw-Tyler
What an incredible place! It has turned into our home away from home. The food, the friendliness, the service, everything! What a great place!! Thank you Mynt for adding such amazing happiness to our holiday!! We will always be back!

Good food, good view, good prices. What's not to love! My favorite Campsbay spot.

excellente ambiance et des mojito du tonnerre !! très bon rapprot qualité prix !! je recommande ;)

Great restaurant, lovely food and staff

Great cocktails and perfect location but eating soggy caprese with packs of hairy dogs with sand fleas just isn't what you'd expect from a world premier beach spot. In fact, just stick to the cocktails 🍹 from attentive staff and you'll get so trashed you won't mind the forkin dogs

Breakfast was a disappointment for all three in our party. Bland food that could’ve done with some flavour. “Spicy tomato” in the breakfast wrap was nothing more than a couple teaspoons of cooked tomato. And R50 for a 200ml glass of less-than-average bottled orange juice is an absolute rip-off. Great view of the beach, but nothing to set them apart from any other overrated Camps Bay restaurant.
Clayton Fraser Williams
Abysmal Experience

Food didn't arrive together. Only half ingredients but an argument about no discount. One set of cutlery for 5 people. Had to ask 6 times to get sufficient cutlery.

Waiters have BO, lean over the entire table to put food down.

Absolutely horrendous.
Aletha Jeftha
Early dinner on Camps Bay strip. Scorching hot! Roads and beach packed. But restaurants still had prime seats available since it was only 5pm.

Heard the burgers were respectable here, and thus had to have one. The veggie burger is served with mozzarella, avo and basil pesto and sounded absolutely amazing! But I wanted to taste their beef patty as well, so decided to add an extra patty on the side.

The veggie burger is really gorgeous as a whole. The patty tastes like the fry’s chicken burger. But all the add ons just makes this burger super special. The beef patty - perfectly flame grilled ground beef goodness. Yum!

I left concluding that these are super solid burgers and most definitely worthy of a repeat visit.
TheGirlWithTheBlueHair
This place is really really nice, although the service is a bit slow, the food is AMAZING! The vibe is nice as its right in front of the beach! The cocktails are really awesome too! The waitress was really nice and attentive aswell as she recommended the best G&T cocktail based on what I was drinking before. Very awesome!

Yes Yes Yes!!!

Best restaurant, Best staff, Best location!!!

These French toast kababs is to die for!!! Don’t walk past and skip this dish/experience!

Do yourself a favor and drive to Campsbay, especially if it’s a beautiful day, and spoil yourself with Mynt’s restaurant.

But R50 for a small glass of ordinary orange juice?!?! That’s daylight robbery!
Gabriel Hair
This is my favourite spot on the strip! They have a great breakfast menu, but the burgers and pastas are phenomenal! I always struggle to decide between the gnocchi Gorgonzola and the curry burger! Normally quite full so be sure to check availability!
Sumendra Chetty
Mynt Cafe is decidedly more laid back than the rest of the Camps Bay restaurant strip but that doesn’t make it any less enjoyable. In fact service was really great, the decor was fun and light and the menu quite extensive. It’s your usual on the go foods with quite a nice variety of flavours. I had the al pomodoro pasta and mike had the seafood pasta. Mine was a little bland, but mike seemed to have enjoyed his. The portion sizes are very generous if even go so far as saying Sharing one might be the best move! All in all a really nice spot especially of you feel like a nice stroll on the beach and not dressing up too much
O-Mizu Satori
One of the restaurants just across from the beach so you have a great view and cool vibe.
Initially we were just going to have drinks here after viewing the menu and only saw 2 vegetarian options, but once we sat down and settled in, decided to have dinner as well.
G&T options are really great and unique, albeit rather expensive and the food was very tasty as well so we made a good choice to stick around.
Christine Monteverdi
Didn't have half the desserts, didn't listen to the dessert orders correctly, only brought out 3 of the 4 meals, card machine wasn't working and overall bad service.
Nicole Zetler Shapiro
Given the location, you pay a premium for dining at such a great spot on the beach front. Friendly servers, but they were a bit slow. Our smoothies were really good - but the main draw card of mynt is it's location.
Itha
Amazing sunset view with the most delicious cocktails. Had the best strogenhoff pasta with mushroom sauce. Great portions and amazing staff with very good knowledge of the food and cocktails. Will be back again

An extremely popular Camps Bay hang out. You'll be lucky to find a table over weekends if you're not there early or willing to wait a few minutes. Our party had the Protein Pancakes, French Toast Kebabs and Sunrise for breakfast. Large portions of well prepared food supplemented with good coffees and excellent service. We'll be back.
Nadia Janse Van Rensburg
Had a "build your own" breakfast with health bread, mushrooms, sweet roasted cherry tamato, mushrooms and lots of good almond flate white coffees. You can never go wrong with the Camps Bay strip so we decided to start at the top. Service was great and the poor waiters was spinning to keep up. Friendly staff, big variety menu, nice coffee and great spot and view of the beach. Will def go back to try something else on the menu. Would love to see more veggy optiona for on the main menu side... #breakfast #veganoption #healthy #seaview #beachfront #campsbay #beach #hangout #viby #relaxing #goodcoffee

Really can't find anything to complain about! The service was lovely and the food almost even better. I had the salmon pasta (which I'd recommend) but the burger and Bolognese my companions had, were great as well! Their wine list has had a great deal of thought out into it and the wine on recommendation was superb!

I always love going to Mynt. Friendly staff, good value and good food. Went there today for breakfast and ordered the roasted oat bowl. All I can say is breakfast fail! I can't really describe what it tasted like as it was tasteless. My advice - nice idea on paper but rather just take it off the menu or stick to traditional oats. Everyone else's meals were great except for the ABC fresh juice which had so much ginger in it was difficult to drink but maybe that's just a taste preference.

Breakfast and a fantastic view. After seeing a few pics on Zomato I knew I had to have the French toast and it didn't disappoint. The bread was soft and light with just a light sprinkling of powdered sugar. The blueberry cream cheese and bacon provided a lovely tartness and salty contrast. Loved the fresh fruit on the side. My wife throughly enjoyed her breakfast wrap, it was tasty and flavourful with the scrambled eggs made to perfection, of course she added a little crushed chilli to it. The Lavazza cappuccinos were also great. The hostess was friendly and accommodating, and the waiting staff were also very attentive. The spot has a buzzing street cafe vibe overlooking Camps Bay beach, perfect for people watching and sundowners. Overall a great experience and we will be back.

I recently had dinner at Mynt Cafe and was absolutely this most horrific customer service experience I had in my life!

The manager portray the epitome of fraud and corruption - you cannot win a debate by your conviction, but should call the police if you fail. This pathetic reasoning and values enforced by Mynt management/ownership is what is wrong with South Africa today.

At our arrival we confirmed that Mynt accepts the Entertainer App vouchers in paying for food items. Our hostess confirmed that no items were excluded (we confirmed this twice with her). We ordered two menu items from the menu and our waiter then suggested a platter. Mentioning to him that we want to use the Entertainer, he confirmed that this is still fine. (Read: it was on recommendation of Mynt that we changed our order in the first place.)

Requesting the bill is where Mynt caused a very pleasant celebration of obtaining an MBA to turn sour. The manager, who I think to be the lowest form of a human, refused to redeem the voucher. After telling him we confirmed twice that we could use it, he still did not want to. He, in so many words, told us that we will be held liable for the restaurants mistake - I mean, really!?

We requested, four times, to speak to Theo, the owner of Mynt, but Theo refused four times to speak to us. Till today I wonder what he was afraid of?

Anyway, the manager of the restaurant ultimately phoned the police and having spoilt our celebration enough already, forced our hand to pay the full bill and be held liable for Mynt's incompetence.

As a matter of principle, which I doubt the manager of owner Theo has any, I will never support such a pathetic business ever again. If you do, you should consider your values too.

And as a side note, your fresh fish is oily and extremely overpriced; I would give that a one out of 10.

If you are a competitor, your are welcome to use this to your advantage.

After a long day sunbathing on camps bay we decided to grab a bite to eat. We arrived slightly before 6pm and was given the dinner menu. The drinks menu is extensive and there are a lot of interesting choices. We ordered the virgin pina colada and singapore sling. The drinks were quite good and decently priced. The food selection was uninspiring, but had a decent variety. We ordered the pesto chicken breasts and their "bolognese" with linguine. The chicken was well cooked, but the combination of flavours and texture was weird at best. The large chunks of what they claim to be buffalo mozzarella did not do much for the dish. Their "bolognese" was so disappointingly unexpected that it was amusing. In their defence, the description was that it was mince in meat sauce. The linguine was well done, but the mince tasted as if it was cooked in Bisto gravy and tomatoes. Overall, mediocre experience considering how high it is rated.

Hmm.. great setting, beautiful view. Food on the other hand quite mediocre. Portions small for the price but then again it is Camps Bay. Service was good and vibe pleasant.

Mynt is situated in an ideal spot along the famous Camps Bay strip. Especially for a beautiful summers evening in Cape Town. The surroundings really do make you realise how lucky we are to have this as our backdrop. To eat, I ordered the mushroom and brie burger, which comes with a side of either handcut chips or salad, I chose chips. And washed it down with a Singapore sling. While the food is tasty, it does take forever to arrive. Service is particularly slow. I also find their menu to be vast. I think abit of editing will go a long way.

Nice food that comes with a beautiful view in Camps Bay. Had an incident where I was given cake that had mould on it and to say sorry the manager gave everyone at the table a piece of another cake

The Pina colada's alone are enough reason to visit Mynt Cafe. Not to mention the stunning sunset view, beachy decor and the big food portions we reveived. No complaints.

I visited Mynt Cafe a while ago for breakfast. The restaurants in situated on the promenade in Camps Bay and overlooks the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful and service was fairly good. There were a variety of breakfast options to choose from. I ordered the eggs Benedict, which was served on an English muffin. I enjoyed the meal, however I did not like their hollandaise sauce very much. My friend ordered the morning after breakfast. The portion was really big and filling. He enjoyed his meal. The food was good but nothing unusual.

After a hot day on Camps Bay beach, we pulled in for an early dinner. Decent fish, battered hake. The chips were unedible. The main portion of calamari was eatung rubber. Sent it back and came back worse. I am never one to complain but this was not enjoyable at all. MYNT up your game especially being on the main strip on Camps bay.
Coral Le Roux
I won't be quite as generous with my rating, not because the food was bad, but more because the ambience and service was "eh". We just had to choose a restaurant with a view of the sea and sunset on the most gorgeous evening in forever. We got both, but sacrificed a quiet and relaxed dinner. The restaurant is noisy and bustling - to be fair, it is on the Camps Bay strip. We weren't expecting much in terms of food, but were happily surprised when our fillets were tender, and the roast veg was tasty. Probably won't be back - the background music is not to my liking. Damn, I sound geriatric.

This is a great spot in Camps Bay, they have great specials, the burgers are very nice, the view amazing and service good. My friend had the fish and it looked fresh and tasty aswell. Great way to spend a afternoon.

Thanks to Zomato I found myself at Mynt Cafe on a bitterly cold Saturday for breakfast. The cold was tempered by strategically placed heaters and my partner and I were soon comfortably seated deciding on what to order. The menu, (thankfully in my opinion) is rather minimalist and orders of protein flapjacks and smoked salmon rosti were placed; together with a flat white and an ABC- read, apple, beetroot, carrot and ginger juice. Perfect for winter. Whilst I enjoy my coffee, my only gripe was that it was so tiny. At R22 you expect a decent size coffee- just saying! Pet hate aside. The salmon rosti was the winner- nicely smoked salmon with a sharp hollandaise sauce nestled on top of a delicious rosti. Protein pancakes was okay- I prefer mine fluffy and light but guess the whey protein makes it a bit 'heavy'. Service was too notch.

Even though it was a grey morning, I can well imagine how this place must be pumping in summer with its incredible views of the ocean across the road. Would recommend Mynt Cafe anyday for a light lunch or breakfast.

Courtesy of a voucher from Zomato, the husband and I found the first excuse we could to take a trip to Camps Bay for breakfast. Mynt is near to Cafe Caprice, it was cosy without being cramped and they have taken winter into account with heaters keeping us toasty warm and a cover. It would be a lovely spot in summer.
To drink I had a latte, which was lovely and smooth, and husband had a juice, which he demolished in moments.
To eat we both had hollandaise poached eggs. On the strength of Glen Hunt 's review I switched my English muffin for a preferred rostie - and I'm very glad I did. Husband had his with salmon, which they initially forgot but once alerted, bought a generous portion on a side plate. He was very pleased.
Our waiter was very pleasant and the managers were clearly visible and keeping an eye on things.
Breakfast was tasty, and our eggs came soft as ordered - given how poorly most restaurants are in this regard, that alo e earns them a return visit.
Besides spotting international film stars and stunning views on the beachfront, this place has so much going for it. I was surprised that it wasn't fuller on a Saturday night. Four of us ordered a variety from their smallish but varied menu. We ordered Calamari tentacles, Fish & Chips, Steak, Egg & Chips and Chicken Pesto Breast. We all agreed that the food was good, some of it excellent. The steak was on the small side, the calamari toi chewy. The cocktail menu was impressive and the Mojito pleasant. Patrick, our waiter, was attentive and gently encouraged us to keep ordering. We'll most probably go back to benefit from the 2-for-1 offers.

To date, the best damn fish and chips I've ever laid my tongue on. It looks beautiful, it tastes beautiful and when that sun sets on a Sunday night, it feels like the perfect place to be. You feel like you're in the credits of a Baywatch episode, but it doesn't have to end... Just order a beer, take in sights and sounds and live life the way it's supposed to be.

I recently attended a #zomatomeetup at Mynt cafe. We were greeted by friendly staff and offered a choice of wine or a mojito cocktail. I opted to start off with the cocktail which was above average and later switched to the red wine which was great!

For starters I chose the Gnocchi with Gorgonzola & Avo, which might I add was my favourite dish of the night! It was rich and creamy and full of flavour! It gets a solid 9/10

For mains I opted for the Seafood Pasta, which might I add was quite good too, but I did feel that as a main portion, it was a bit small. It gets a could be better 7/10.

Then came the much awaited for dessert, for this option I went with the Mud Pudding & Ice Cream. The pudding was rich in chocolate flavour, but I found it slightly dry and in need of more Mud (chocolate sauce). It get last a rating of 6/10.

All in all, a very enjoyable evening with a fantastic group of people!

If you are in the area, give it a try!

Enjoy!
We came here twice in a week to check this place out. One for a foodie meetup and one a few days later for breakfast. I'll start with the foodie meetup review.

We were invited for a foodie meetup with my fellow Zomato foodies. Upon the arrival the decor is very relaxed with a feel with a long table with bench seating and tables. I were give a mohijito. We sat and ordered from our choice of 3 starters. I chose the crispy squid tentacles and my wife had the gnocchi with Gorgonzola cheese and Avo sauce. Both were very tasty and the calamari was crispy. The gnocchi was homemade and soft as gnocchi should be.

Next for mains I had the seafood pasta and my wife had the pesto chicken breasts which was covered with mozzarella cheese, sun dried tomatoes and basil pesto. The chicken was done perfectly being moist and tasty.

For dessert we had a choice of Malva Pudding, Apple
Crumble, chocolate lava cake, banana split or good old ice cream and chocolate sauce. I opted for the South African tradition of Malva pudding and it was moist and really delicious.

Service was on point and very good.

Ok, now 2nd visit...

We had booked before the meetup for breakfast and arrived to a semi full breakfast.

Our waiter was quite good. I wanted the eggs Benedict but they were out of English muffins so opted for a potato rosti and side of bacon. My wife ordered the smoked salmon rosti.

I'll say I enjoyed my meal. It was cooked well and was tasty. Cappuccinos we ordered were really good.

Mynt is a nice place when you are in Camps Bay to get something that's reasonable priced (and trust me, that's hard to come by) and tasty.

On a balmy winters evening; the warm lights, cosy furnishings and vibrant atmosphere welcomed me as I entered the restaurant. Being a Tuesday night I ws pleased to see how busy the restaurant was. Located on Victoria road in a prime position overlooking the pristine Camps Bay beach.
I greeted my 11 fellow foodies with eager anticipation & was handed a huge signature mojito.
How absolutely perfect - and thirst quenchingly satisfying.
We chated enthusiastically over the menu and made observations of the fun beachy decor and cleverly made (from fishing baskets) chandeliers.
My chosen starter was crispy fried squid tentacles with aioli. I prefer the squid flash @fried to retain its tenderness. Other options were gnocchi in gorgonzola & avo or peri peri chicken livers. Having had a sneaky taste of the livers - they were delicious and full of coriander & cumin spice giving a little taste of Morocco.
Three main courses teased my tastebuds. Pesto chicken breast with mozzarella, sundried tomatoes & parmesan; seafood pasta in napolitana sauce or sesame salmon with avo & cream cheese. I opted for the latter and it was lovely.
Desserts were a smorgasbord of choices: apple crumble, chocolate lava cake, malva pudding, banana split or ice cream & chocolate sauce. The lava cake was light, not too sweet & served piping hot. Lovely evening in all!

Sharese Hunt Glen Hunt Nick Mavridis Megan Bellinger Phillip Black Ryan Mulders Trevor Pols Chetna Black Gabriel Stein Tabassum Smiley Aleem
Invited to a Zomato meetup and receiving a Zomato voucher for Mynt, I decided to combine both my experiences in one review! Located in Camps Bay with a gorgeous view of the ocean, this quaint vibey Café is all about simplicity of fresh flavours and good food.

For starters I opted for the Gnocchi Gorgonzola & Avocado in a cream sauce. It was delicious and flavoursome. My partner in crime had the Crispy Fried Squid Tenticles served with aioli. The texture of the tenticles was a little bit chewy but the aioli was quite pleasant.

Main course was a choice of Pesto Chicken Breast served with basil pesto, mozzarella, sundried tomatoes and topped with parmasan. Generous portions of chicken breasts, accompanied with a side salad and pasta. It sure was filling!! This reminded me of the Chicken Parmigiana you get back in Australia. Some around the table ordered the Seafood Pasta - Crayfish, prawns, calamari, fish and mussels in a Napolitana sauce. The only critic is that the seafood should be served without the shells.

Dessert was a choice of Mud pudding, Apple crumble or a Malva pudding. The Mud pudding as well as the Malva were amazing and a perfect way to end a great evening with company of foodies!

We used our Zomato voucher a few says later for breakfast. I ordered a delicious Smoked Salmon Rosti served with poached eggs, spinach and hollandaise sauce. My husband ordered Eggs Benedict only for the waiter to come back informing him they don't have any english muffins to serve with the Eggs Benedict due to the baker being late delivering the bread and muffins. Nonetheless the dish was substituted with a rosti which still turned out to be great.

Overall a delightful experience!

Visited Mynt with the zomato crew. Great service. Started with virgin mojitos which was just perfect as i feel some places make it abit too sweet. For starters i had fried squid and the chicken livers was quite good too. For mains i opted for the crayfish pasta which is 2 of my favourite things and i thought it lacked a bit of flavour but nothing the chillies on the table couldnt fix. For dessert i had a molten choclate pudding which i wished had more gooeyness but was good nonetheless. The malva pudding however is the bees knees
Gabriel Stein
Fried squid tentacles were average, simply weren't crispy enough for me.

Pesto chicken was nice, but the chicken wasn't very soft and the cheese was a bit crumbly even though it was melted. The chicken also wasn't very tender which was disappointing.

The apple crumble was good but not amazing whilst on the otherhand, the ice cream served with it was beyond incredible, should be had it on its own.

Ambience is nice, love to be by the seaside, but would rather spend my time and money at other restaurants on the sea side.

Was invited to a zomato meetup at Mynt on Tuesday night, and what a great night it turned out to be ! Besides the excellent company, the place was so vibey and has a lovely 'cafe on the beach' feel. The hostess was sweet and attentive, and we were treated to the most delicious Mojitos, and she kept them coming ! For starters I chose the calamari tentacles which were deep fried with delicious tartare sauce. For mains I ordered the salmon dish - didn't expect it to be a sandwich style dish, but actually really enjoyed it. The freshest ingredients of salmon, cream cheese, cucumber and Avo were used to make a super tasty cafe sandwich. And the bonus is that is wad served with tasty fries ! Dessert - had the apple crumble with ice cream which I believe is one of the best apple crumbles I have had. All in all a lively and lovely semi- casual spot. I recommend going to watch the sunset on camps bay beach from Mynt and enjoy it with a cocktail ;)

Mynt cafe is a very cool restaurant with an amazing view and delicious food. It was pumping the night I was there but the service was still quick and friendly. Great vibe and trendy decor really set the mood for a good evening. We were served some dangerously delicious mojitos before the meal. I started with a gorgonzola and avocado gnocchi which was fantastic. The creamy, tasty sauce was excellent. For the main I demolished a seafood pasta with crayfish, prawns, calamari, fish and mussels. I love seafood and this really hit the spot. My only complaint would be that I prefer my shellfish without the shell. Less work, yes I'm lazy. For dessert I had the hot mud pudding with ice cream and it was spectacular. I love the clash of hot and cold while the flavours burst forth. All in all a fantastic evening with some great company. Thank you Mynt!

I came to Mynt for breakfast one sunny Saturday to use a Zomato voucher (thanks guys). It's not somewhere I would usually try but I had a great experience so will probably be back soon. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the vibe is warm, bustling and casual. I had the French toast stack which was the hugest portion I've ever been served 😂 and my boyfriend had the protein pancakes - he was a little disappointed with his portion size in comparison to mine but he said the pancakes were quite filling (and he had my leftovers too!). The food was great - made really nicely, tasted fresh and yum! Coupled with a view on the beach on the other side of the road and this one's a winner!

Last night, I attended a zomato foodie meet up (honestly one of the best that I've attended thus far) we were treated to beautiful Virgin mojitos (my fav) and chatted before dinner was served. For starters, we had a choice of gnocchi, squid and chicken livers. I had the gnocchi which was good...

Had a lovely morning breakfast on a warm winters day... Very busy and jam packed! Our waiter helped us promptly I ate the sunrise breakfast and my boyfriend the morning after breakfast it was very tasty and overall good experience. The cafe is situated in the perfect place 😊

There's a cutesy decal in the women's bathroom which reads something like 'may you enter here as guests and leave here as friends,' and I think about that a lot.

I used a coupon to pay for breakfast here, and I was prepared for the most difficult and awkward transaction of my life trying to do that, but it was actually pretty painless and straightforward! So, well done Mynt people, and well done me.

If you are in Camps Bay I suggest Mynt Cafe. The waiters are welcoming and friendly, knowledgeable about their food flavors too. Can't go wrong with their pastas or burgers

We visited Mynt on a Sunday morning after a long walk. We walked in and were welcomed and seated at an outdoor table. Beautiful views and great vibe. Friendly and unpretentious. We were a large group and everyone was very happy with the menu choices and the food served. Coffee was also great. Service was excellent.

A beautiful setting on the camps bay strip! We got a nice spot on the pavement al fresco style, and welcomed by our friendly waiter.
The menu has a good selection, and drinks aswell with some tasty sounding cocktails.
For mains, we all had burgers, they were tasty, but we all agreed we'd had better. They come with fries, onion rings and coleslaw which was delish! Howevr i must mention we waited ages for our burgers, an hour at least.
During the week there are great specials for 2-for-1 burgers and pastas which I'd love to go try!

The breakfast here is absolutely amazing and great value for money. I keep coming back for the french toast kebab with fruits and bacon with blueberry cream cheese - its out of this world! Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, efficient service.

Lovely location but like most places Campsbay, overpriced, average and a tourist trap... Campsbay, caution, you can not survive because of location only!
Kelly Tiegan
We ordered 2 fillet salads and found the portions very small and lacked quantity and seasoning for the price. However there is a lovely view and friendly service.

Eggs over done, bacon over done, sausage over done. That says overpriced. Good coffee, nice napkins, nice view. Dirty floors. Smokers friendly.

Lunch on Friday. Good. Nothing out of the ordinary. Obviously one pay for the views. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. We waited a bit longer than usual for our food, but enjoyed the outing.

Do you usually giveaway tables that were booked the day before away? I understand that it's argus weekend, but the fact we got to the restaurant and there was no space and someone was blatantly at our spot is disappointing. No way to treat your regulars and camps bay locals. We went to the Grand instead

Melon & Mint Gin.........thumbs up! .......and flatbeads. And the Melon & Parmaham is a must! Camps Bay vibes at the best with a view of note! Izelle Cilliers

Crayfish, line fish, garlic butter sauce, calamari (10/10) - superb for a summer sundowner dinner 👌🏼. Service was on point and if you can get there in perfect weather conditions you're in for a treat. Oh, I also have to add; the ambiance in general is just great.

THE best Eggs Benedict I've had in a long time. If you're looking for the ideal breakfast spot with great food, amazing smoothies and a view, look no further! Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and visited Mynt Cafe a week or two ago on an exceptionally hot day and thus, the cafe was very busy as everyone was at camps bay and Clifton beach. This meant that we had to wait 35minutes for a table.

My boyfriend ordered a beef burger which came with onion rings, coleslaw and chips, which he really enjoyed. I ordered the sesame salmon open sand which (avo, cream cheese) accompanied by a salad (which was unfortunately drenched in salad dressing) which was a generous serving and very delicious. The best part was that our food was served to us within 10 minutes of ordering! I give the food a 4/5! (However this is our only experience)

Service was polite, friendly and helpful.

Location is beautiful as it sits on the main road looking out onto camps bay beach and is perfect for lunch, sundowners and dinner. Decor is aesthetic and perfectly suited to location with an open outside area and inside seating (all with shade covering)

Pricing is on the more expensive side and ranges between R90-300 for a dish.

Went for breakfast - had the bagel with avo. It was very average tasting - added rocket from the plate to add some flavour. The service was shocking, had to ask for things a number of times. Also heard the manager/owner yelling at a waiter in front of customers. Overall really bad experience. Disappointing.

This is a Wonderful breakfast/lunch spot with beautiful views and a great atmosphere. The food and service is good as well as portion sizes. Friendly staff.

Beautiful setting but it doesn't go beyond that.

The service was atrocious and our waiter had an awful attitude when faced with any complaint.

Any restaurant directly on the Cape Tonian coast which advertises a East Coast sole on the menu and serves a West Coast sole instead leaves much room for concern.
Not bad at all, pretty chilled spot, good views of the ocean vibe. Manager/waiter was very tentative and had a good vibe about him, friendly and helpful, even introduced me to what a Cuba libre was haha food is pricey, luckily using the entertainer saved us some cash :)

Vibey with great ocean views! The food was tasty and had nice pairings but (as with most places in Camp's Bay) was overpriced. I had the chicken espetada and enjoyed it thoroughly. The manageress was wonderful and extremely attentive.
Tyron Van Rensburg
Breakfast and service were decent, protein pancakes on the menu if you feel like something different. Great setting along the beach as well.
Mark Morreira
Superb location and vibe. Service good. Food was pricey and below expectations. Chicken espetada was decent but sole and prawn combo was poor. Only 2 medium prawns and very undercooked sole.
Jason Hoff
Very nice place. Situated across the beach. Friendly staff. I had the fillet steak with a side salad. The fillet was medium to well. Added some salt for flavour. It seems like you have to ask for a sauce. Malva pudding is delicious. Great venue for groups

Went to Mynt for cocktails, the Wild Berry Mojito was delicious. Something different from the usual cocktails. I also felt like nibbling so ordered some chicken strips, it could have been a bit more crispier but otherwise it was good. The setting and service was also good, the atmosphere is very chilled so it's a cool spot on days where you just want to be laid back.

We visited on a sunny day and were seated on the deck areas which has a really nice view of the ocean. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. My fiancé and I both had fillet steaks (they have a 2 for 1 special on weekdays) which were well cooked and good quality cuts of meat. The side salad was a bit sad though, it's mostly leaves. Wine by glass is decently priced. We will be back here for mussels which looked amazing

Beautiful ocean view, comfortable seating, and huge portion sizes. This place is also a great value for Camps Bay, with a 2 for 1 burger and pasta special in winter. We went for an early lunch in a Friday in early spring and it wasn't crowded, meaning that service was good. It did slow down a bit once more people came through. The burgers were played nicely on wooden boards and tasted great.
James Robertson Milne
Slightly slow service, great calamari. Very hospitable hostess. Quite expensive for portion sizes however prepared very well. I would do it again
Marilyn Cohen De Villiers
Great breakfast. Most unusual oats I've ever had. Can't wait to come back and try their other unusual breakfast offerings. Great view anf very friendly service.

Delicious , succulent ribs. Blew my mind homie. Beautiful location, vibey and staff extremely friendly. Overall the food and atmosphere went hand in hand. Top form.

Nice simple breakfast of poached eggs and toast. Eggs were perfect. Side of mushrooms took a while to come but when they did arrive they were delicious. Waitress was brilliant!

Ordered and got an Iced Coffee, a black coffee on crushed ice (NO ice cream), which according to their own menu online costs R18. When I got the bill they charged R40!! Even when speaking to the manager, he said that's the price they charge for a black coffee on crushed ice. Told them it's twice the usual amount. Manager insisted it's their price and I have to accept it. Didn't accept it, paid R22 and walked away. Worst experience ever! Avoid! Go to the competition next door instead!

Was in a mood for Tapas, so we tried a few, chicken strips was perfect, tachos was very generous and the tempura prawns was perfectly crispy (even ate the tails). The service was very warm, helpfull and made us feel extremely welcome...loved the experience!!!

Mynt cafe was definitely an unexpected visit, the perfect place for a chilled out, unplanned light lunch. The person i was with had a mushroom beef burger, which i tried and must say was quite delicious. Hence the burgers are definitely worth a try. I had their steak sandwich which despite it sounding simple, had beef that was grilled to perfection- just tender enough. Their portions substantial and their cocktails just right. To top it off the service was amazing, something hard to come across in cape town as I have notices.
Mynt cafe is definitely worth that afternoon visit, not to mention the perfect place to watch the sunset over summer.
Evan Bradley
This was a great lunch spot on a warm day, with a lovely view of the beach. The service was efficient and friendly. The food was fine with a menu that was not overcomplicated, but offered some interesting light meal options.

We spend one glorious Cape afternoon at Mynt and it just felt like holiday already. We sat at one of the sidewalk tables and had an uninterrupted view of the ocean and passersby. I ordered the carrot, ginger and apple crusch – very refreshing and one of about twenty fresh juice options – while my lunch companions ordered wine and beer, nice and cold. The waiter was very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable.
I ordered the classic BBQ hamburger for R65 and it came with salad, chips and onion rings. It was freshly made and cooked to perfection. The seared beef salad that my friend ordered looked simply divine, but the herb and caper grilled hake failed to impress my other friend, However, I had the feeling that the problem was with her and not the dish.
We did not order dessert, but spent some more time just soaking in the atmosphere. There was no indication from the staff that they were in a hurry for us to leave. Make Mynt a must-do on your summer holiday list!
