Small farm stall and restaurant serving traditional cuisine. Some items on the menu were not available when I visited. I tried the Tomato stew and it was excellent. The inside is filled with antique stuff and also feels old and nice. The staff were very helpful. They also sell many different pickers and relishes. There was also a cute kitty who was quite friendly.
Awesome little out of the way farm stall, filled with rustic charm and genuine polite people. Delicious farm breakfast at very reasonable prices. Also have a huge selection of home baked goods and other preserves. Well worth turning off the main road.
Just a perfect place for a nice breakfast stop while car travel around SA.
The place is very authentic in a country style.
Authentic old farm building. Local old-school delicious eats available. Staff was friendly.
Pepper Steak Pie was excellent, really excellent. Crust was crunchy, meat filling was plentiful, sauce was less, but enough!
How do I put this. Sometimes you want a pie that is perfectly light with lots of sauce, and medium amounts of meat.
This was not that. Someone went: put everything delicious in it, possibly rub the crust with butter, and then more meat. Ok. Add a little sauce too.
I loved it.
Friendly staff great coffee and delicious sandwiches. Perfect for a break to stretch your legs. They are also very friendly towards pets.
Beautifully situated between the green hills and yellow canola fields of the Overberg. Food really tasty. The apple crumble light as a feather. The tea was on the cold side. I think a tea cozy could be the remedy.
Lots of real antique displays. Very interesting to wander around
A hidden gem of the beaten track. 100 year old building in the style of an old classic farm stall and shop. Friendly trusting service and great classic menu selection. Card machine was offline and the lady trusted me to EFT payment later. Trust and friendlyniss not often seen anymore. Support them. It's worth it. Looking back into the lost beautiful history.
Lovely farm stall, but signage should be improved. Delightful coffee stop captured in a time capsule with quaint decor of yesteryear
This quaint farm stall was the local general dealer in its heyday, and has managed to preserve some of that old world charm. It now has a small resturaunt serving breakfast and lunches, all traditional Cape farm fare. The food was well priced and delicious. The proprietor is friendly and will happily tell you the history of the place if you're interested. There's a good selection of preserves, pickles and other home produce to choose from. Well worth a stop if you're visiting Stanford or Bredasdorp.
What a lovely find! A family run farmstall that stocks a surprising array of goods! Lots of food products produced by local grannies and amazing pies at R42 each that I can highly recommend!
The tranquil views alone are worth the stop for and the building which was an old farm parts depot was built in the 1930s and has a conference room/wedding venue and an interesting collection of art!
My daughter loved the local cat as well!
We will certainly be back.
