What a wonderful restaurant with real farm style food. If you are looking to buy something for your home, then this is a great stop. Don't miss out on this amazing shop.
Amazing treasure on the N2. Tremendous variety of goods. From special yummy treats to clothing and shoes, they have it all. The pies are especially nice, a bit pricey at first look but delicious and packed with meaty goodness. Something for everyone, from antiques and cutlery to jams and spreads.
Just stopped here to check out the farm stall, which is fascinating. Love the giant table and chairs. Farm stall has a quirky, fun range of goods from antiques and vintage items to shoes and gifts. The restaurant looked busy but I just grabbed some homemade crunchies and Dassiesfontein coffee, which was well-priced and smells divine. Also beautiful outside with the rolling hills, seasonal canola and donkeys.
this place has to be experienced, walk around and look at the thousands of items for sale, vintage memorabilia, furniture, clothes, homeware, food etc etc etc
you will need some some time to browse around!
try one of their homemade pies! they are delicious!
What a gem of a place to visit. Inside is an open fireplace where you can sit and have great coffee and a meal. Then take a stroll looking at all the items for sale. What's unique about this stall is all the items to buy such as hand made unique home decor items, fireplaces and accessories etc. Just, go take a look and take some cash.. You might buy something!
Always a nice place for a break away from the city. Home baked bread is superb and they have a lot of nice goodies to buy. Food at restaurant is delicious and the portions are generous. We enjoyed walking through the little shops with all the interesting stuff. They have a huge selection of tin plates, mugs etc
Rustic, family orientated and. I loved the pies, they also sell honey, nuts, a very interesting mix of spices and confectionary. I'm glad I got to tick this place off my bucket list...ooohh! They have cute donkeys outside for petting 😊 they were so cute.
Great to get good service for a change, my electronic questions were answered quickly after I posted them which really impressed me. The venue is wheelchair accessible but unfortunately does not have a designated loo for people with disabilities. We decided to go anyway and make the best of it as one of the loos in the female bathrooms was quite spacious. The venue is pet friendly which is great as many people bring their furry fellow pax along. Lots of water available for the animals. If you're a bokkom fan you can find really good quality bokkoms sold here. The food is all freshly prepared, is delicious and well priced. A limited range of cold beer is available but they have a good range of quality South African wines available. The service from all the staff is really good and if you're sitty close to the fire on a cold day you might just not want to leave. Lots of safe parking too.
A mind blowing selection of some of the quirkiest, most creative decorative goodies as well as an enormous range of home made edibles AND a restaurant! Whatever you do, make sure you have lots of space in your car... You'll need it 😁
Whenever we go on holiday to the coast, a stop at Dassiesfontein is a must. It feels like the sixties when you enter this warehouse type of shop. The food is really good and their pies are definitely the best! The shop sells everything, from clothing , antiques, leather products and much more. There is ample parking available. They also have a few friendly donkeys outside as well as a few felines. Well worth a visit.
