One of the prettiest toilets in SA. Well done to the cleaners who decorate the ladies with beautiful flowers every day. Take away section is very efficient. Food is good. Staff very friendly. Picnic area is clean, child and dog friendly. Lovely big trees for shade. We'll done everyone.

Awesome stop! Full service gas station. It was a wonderful restaurant, gift shop, little “farm”, and playground. The sandwiches and roosterkoeke! Highly recommend the steak and eggs with pepper sauce and ham and cheese sandwich.

This is a must stop when traveling on the N2 past Buffelsjags. Food is always amazing with my steak, cheese and mushroom roosterkoek made exactly how I liked it. On the way back on our road trip we will stop there again.

Lovely atmosphere and seriously considering traveling 2.5 hours just to have one of these bad boys again 😀

My favourite food stop on the road. Roosterkoek heaven. Portions are huge and loads of fillings to choose from. Padkos!

Fast and friendly service even when busy. Amazing roosterkoek, large and filling. Definitely our go to place to stop from now on.

What a great surprise! We stopped for a coffee and then we saw the menu. I must admit that the roosterkoeke was even better as the famous Nanaga-roosterkoeke! The filling was absolutely delicious and this is true value for money. We could not finish these gigantic roosterkoeke and we could share it with children begging for something to eat. Do yourself a favor and stop at this restaurant on your way to Cape Town, they will definitely have your favourite filling!

31 October 2022 The Eats (overall several days, as we were in the area twice): Americano Latte Plain Roosterkoeke Cheese and Tomato Roosterkoek Egg and Bacon Roosterkoek Sloppy Joe Roosterkoek (savoury mince and cheese) Cheese Toastie Pros: Loads of options Good prices The roosterkoeke are huge and delicious. They are good the day after buying as well. We took them on hikes the next day Suggestion: Can do with a couple more veggie options, like curry lentil, roasted veggies and/or spinach and feta

Can get busy. But if you have never had roosterkoekbrood then you are missing out. And they have a GREAT selection of these fire roasted breads.

We always stop somewhere else when traveling through the area but based on Google Maps images posted by other visitors, decided to stop here for a change. OMW, not sure when the new bistro opened but should have stopped here a long time ago already. They had the Beef burger roosterkoek on special and decided to try that since we just finished a hike. Added some extra cheese and had the best damn lunch money could buy. This is authentic food made by authentic people. I’m sorry to the ‘other’ place but I’m already planning my next trip back to the bistro.

Really good roostekoek. Big portions. Great value for money. Served with a friendly smile. A worthwhile stop for a road trip.

What a lovely stop over on our way to Oudtshoorn. Surely the best roosterkoek I've tasted in a long time. Friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely visit again

Didn't eat at the bistro but merely stopped for a quick stretch before hitting the road again but good place for the kids as there are some animals and play parks for the kids while the adults stretch, break for toilet or snacks.

Great place to stop for a quick bit and with the seating outside makes it perfect for kids to play outside. The Roosterkoek is outstanding. Pets are welcome and they even have a few goats to entertain the kids. Great jungle gym. Relaxing atmosphere and when you're done you are ready for the road ahead.

To be honest I had a wonderful experience. My food was ready extremely fast and the queue was helped fast. I absolutely loved the bacon and egg roosterkoek for my breakfast on the road and the staff is extremely nice. There is a vast option of what type if roosterkoek to eat so don't worry if someone in the family won't want to eat something I bet there is something for them. Coffee was good and warm, going great with the roosterkoek.

Lovely stop by the BP. They’re known for their roostekoek. You can see the ladies braaing them fresh just outside. Lovely seating area outside.

Delicious roosterkoek and a wonderful stop to stretch legs on the N2 bound for Cape Town/George. Their toasties and tjippies are delicious too. A great place to get little one’s free in a safe kids play area, with some goats too. Well equipped shop with many snacks and fresh fruits.

Best country food you will find. This is a must stop at of you want a coffee or even better a rooster brood. Fire cooked, very full with fillings and delicious to the end. The womans bathrooms have beautiful flowers on the basin and a toliet cleaner, keeping the bathrooms beautifully clean. There is a children's play area, lots of seats around the property and even a mini petting zoo with goats.
