When the lockdown of 2020 happened I only missed Pandas, Nuff said.
Definitely a hidden gem! We ordered sweet and sour chicken and it exceeded all of our expectations. The portion size was very generous for the price. Definitely one of the best sweet and sour chicken I’ve ever had.
Staff is so friendly and welcoming. The sushi was perfect!! The atmosphere was also so relaxing, making the whole experience one worthwhile the repeat.
Moved back into the neighbourhood recently and had to swing by my old favourite.

Had the meal for 3: sweet and sour chicken, sichuan beef, pork chop suey, spring rolls, egg fried rice, noodles and fortune cookies. All for R170. I ordered chicken and egg flake soup as an extra.
Good portion sizes, crisp veggies, soft meat. It was good. Glad to be back around the corner to make it a regular visit.
Having visited an array of sushi restaurants around the country, I can honestly say that out of all of them, Panda's sushi still stay at the top of my list when it comes to quality. Most sushi restaurants load their sushi with rice and add as little salmon as possible in order to increase profitability, but not Panda's. They are generous with their salmon and manage to create awesome flavours by the way they compile their sushi pieces.
Pretty much the best chicken and cashew nuts in SA....I could live off the stuff.

Pandas is my go-to Chinese food restaurant in Brackenfell.. I absolutely love their Chinese food!! I do not however like their Sushi, the salmon was very chewy everytime I've tried it.. I would definitely recommend them for their Chinese food.. The Sweet and Sour Chicken with Noodles my favourite meal here.. The portion sizes are very generous and the prices are not bad at all..
Truly one of the best places for shushi always freshly made, staff is always welcoming and there main meals is too die for. The owner is really interactive with he`s customers and he check to see if the are enjoying their food.
Best chinese restaurant ever! Food and sushi is amazing! Always fresh.yes, sometimes the service is slow, but once you get you're food you won't mind the wait! They have 2 types of all you can eat buffet- R99 and R129.
Honestly the best Chinese food I've ever had.
Definitely not the fanciest place around, and sometimes the service is a bit slow, but wow the food is amazing. Their dishes are really well priced, and the portion sizes are quite big too. The Sichuan dishes and the King Pow beef are among my favorites, along with some of the traditional Chinese dishes that you are able to request from the chef. Their sushi is really delicious too ( definitely try the spicy sushi), and for those who want a bit of both, their buffet offers a range of delicious Chinese dishes and some sushi too!!

The chicken hot pot and 24 piece fried sushi came in at just over R200 and seriously could have fed 4 people easily.
The hot pot is Sichuan style and not for the faint-hearted, but if you handle spice well, it is an absolute feast. It has the burn of chilli as well as the mouth numbing of Sichuan peppers (google it) and LOADS of flavor, which makes this a taste sensation you will not forget.
Hands down the most tasty item I have had on their menu and we have had a lot. (ALL exceptional by the way.)
This is my second review of the place, but I had to. I have never been disappointed, but the hot pot was next level.
The owner's wife did say that I should try the pork next time, I will definitely do so. (It was a random decision as we got stuck on ordering the same dishes for a while)
The staff and owners make this a restaurant worth visiting. We have been loyal customers for years and have never been disappointed.
For over 15years I've supported Pandas restaurant and still to the day there is always something new to enjoy. In this case I enjoyed the most delicious beef hot pot that I'll definitely recommend for those who enjoy some Spice to warm themself op on a chili winters night. Don't be afraid to ask the owner Peter the next time you visit the establishment for the kitchen special (if available on the day) or with certain dishes ask for Chinese style (believe me you will be surprised by these secrete dishes that's not on the regular or sit down menu.
Great Chinees takeaway. Not just your usual "Chinese" meals, but some real authentic food.

Great service, not shy on the size of the sushi and real value for money.
Tried it, loved it! The whole family had an awesome experience. We tried probably dishes that does not get served much, but literally everything was tasty and well presented. Another go to added to the list to take a break from the commercialized other family restaurants. Venue is authentic, service is good, but the food was great! Thx Peter and team!! We will be back!
