Boeresjiek was a wonderful experience.The place is breathtakingly beautiful,service is friendly and its such a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by stunning vintage&antique decor.The food was excellent started off with their bacon&mushroom quiche with fresh side salad and had a decadent slice of red velvet cheesecake,my hubby had the chocolate cheesecake&lemon meringue tartlet.Will defnitely be back.
Tucked away in Okavango Park, you would never dream of finding such a beautiful spot there.
Luckily have a friend who has friends that know things so we decided to make the trip and check it out.
Basically it is a large warehouse full of tasteful items to decorate your home with or find an unusual gift for someone special. AND CAKE! A huge selection of delicious and beautifully decorated cakes and cupcakes.
Beautiful table settings, and decor stuff. Everything is for sale!

Although it was one of the toughest decisions I ever had t make said friend insisted I couldn't possibly try them all.
In the end we got iced coffees which were superb, a slice of beautifully moist and delicious carrot cake, and a slice of cheese cake with red velvet cake on top, wrapped in cream cheese icing... Yes I did just say that, and yes it was amazing and you really should go try it.
Can't wait to go back!
I'd been dying to try this restaurant out since I saw it on Zomato. It is in quite a strange location - my friend was sure that we were lost. However, once you go inside you soon forget the outside location. It is so overwhelming with so many different interesting things to look at. Service was great. My chai latte was good too. However my carrot cake was quite average. Overall a very good experience- next time I will try a different cake!
Really cute place for a girls coffee date or a kitchen tea. The food is really great, I was so impressed by the variety of cakes in particular. They're all really beautifully decorated. I also liked the decor, even if it is a bit OTT (which is part of the charm). They decorated the table well, with cute serviette and flowers. Everything is for sale and you'll find many many little trinkets to look at if conversation becomes stilted :p
Hands down the best red velvet cake I have ever tasted! Nothing has even come close to how soft and sweet that piece was. Love, love, love!!
Nestled in an industrial section of Kraaifortein is an old worldly cafe with decor that matches my nana's place. Lovely service and totally warm and friendly.
This place has it all. Old school tea cups with tea cozies. I like the Oreo Chocolate cheesecake and will so be back for more.
Something different but awesome. When walking in it is as if you have entered Narnias closet into a modernly done vintage paradise.
You actually sit at random placed tables drinking and eating out of old school tea cups and plates.
Things to eat include delicious quiches and yummy cakes and some things in between.
Who would ever have guessed that a girly paradise like this is tucked away in an industrial zone? Nothing could prepare me for what I was about to see!
My first expression when I opened the door was WOW! I felt like Alice in Wonderland being transported into a whimsical world of vintage china and homemade cakes. Walls filled with interesting things like plates, frames and mirrors.
Every nook and corner is laid out in different themes with colourful flowers everywhere and literally everything in sight is for sale. From clothes to scarfs, jewellery, cups and saucers - even the table and chairs you sit at during your afternoon tea and cake is for sale.
They have a beautiful display of mouth watering cupcakes, quiches and cakes. From red velvet cheesecake, oreo cheese cake, carrot cake only but to name a few.
This is a perfect spot for a baby shower or kitchen tea..or simply just to spend quality time with a special friend along with a piece of cake and a cup of java!
I was here for the first time today. It was an amazing experience with my mom and my brother's girlfriend. The people are all so friendly and the service was fast and the cakes was amazing. The decor was the best though. Thanks for the great experience!
This restaurant has to be Cape Town's best kept secret. I initially was concerned where we were going as the location is an industrial one. But when you open the doors to the restaurant you feel like you have been transported on to another planet. Almost like a real life fantasy. It is magical. This is a venue perfect for any special occasion or just for an afternoon tea. The assortment of cakes are out of this world and each one is more delicious than the next. The quiche and salad is also good and a nice size portion. The prices are also very reasonable.
After tea one can browse for hours as the tables are surrounded by jewellery, art etc that can all be purchased. This is truly one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had.
