This is one of the newest and best gyms in Kwazulu Natal. Had it not been for this gym not having a sauna facility, I would’ve rated this gym a solid 5/5. The staff is exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. The equipment is world-class, well-maintained and readily available. The ambience throughout the facility is exquisite. If you’re willing to drive a good 30km from Umhlanga and 45km from the Durban CBD, you will not be disappointed with your experience at Virgin Active Ballito. Parking is free (and secure) therefore you can workout for as long as you want without having to worry about paying parking fees.

It's a good gym, however there are not many essential equipment to make your workout routine smooth. Only 1 bench press, 1 lat pull down and a few other things that they only have 1 of. You do however get used to what they have and can make do with what you got especially when it's the only VA in ballito

Lovely up to date facilities. Kids facilities are safe and there are 3 studios - a yoga/Pilates studio, mixed-use space as well as the spinning studio. Lots of available treadmills and the pool is always clean. Bathrooms are spacious with hair dryers and hair straighteners. Kauai is on site and staff are lovely. Parking is also safe and plentiful. There’s also a lift if one is needed.
