The ambiance at Butcher Block Ballito is superb, with rustic, elegant new furnishings. The meals are scrumptious, well prepared and served piping hot which is an absolute bonus. Our chicken was well done, tender and moist and coupled with the correct carving knives, made the experience a good one. Whilst the food was impeccable the service that my table received was quite poor. We waited 45 mins between our drinks order and our food order... We also then waited an additional hour after our food order, for it to arrive. Our waitress played hide and seek throughout the entire afternoon. She also seemed inadequately trained, and whilst we tried to get the attention of other waiters grouped around an outside table, they would just redirect our attention to our designated waitress outside. There were only 2 other occupied tables at the time of our experience, so this was not rational nor acceptable. Other than that, was a fairly good experience, would be back for the food if one has span time to spare 😁
Great restaurant. Food is finger-licking yummy. Had an awesome lunch. Service was good too.

The place is so small now not da same anymore the food was nice enjoyed their Hawaiian pizza but the prawns I didn't enjoy them

Wow what a beautiful experience.
The Rump was absolutely cooked cooked to perfection. The Blue cheese Jelepeno sauce was a was a wonderful gastronomical experience, with it's superb burst of flavors.
The waitress was great, allowing us the space we needed, without neglecting us.
The manager was great and handled the Loadshedding superbly.

The place was very empty compared to all the other establishments around it, so that made us a bit concerned about ordering. We decided to stay and it was worth the while... The food is amazing and where the food or service doesn't live up to its standards the owner steps up. My favorite was the chicken strips and chips. Yes I said chicken strip and chips! they are simply amazing, light and crispy. We had an issue with one of the rump steak combos of which we ordered two and the owner handle the situation professionally and replaced the meal as well. I suppose in the end the emptiness of the venue ended up being a benifit because we had the whole place to ourselves and could eat our food in a nice family only setting. Will deff go there again
Took my family here for a truly fantastic dinner! The waiter was amazing and attentive and very engaged. The food was supered, the meat was amazing and cooked to perfection! I wish the butchers block restaurant all the best, please keep the excellent quality food and service

Food was superb. Staff are very helpful and the management actually care if you are enjoying yourself and if you are happy with the service. The steaks were soft and well prepared. Would highly recommened the ribeye with a biltong and jalapeno sauce. Will be make regular trips just for the steak alone.
