They are expensive but their service is very good. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Their Bunny-chaw is very good and tasty. The restaurant is very neat and cozy. A good Indian experience. If you like Indian food, then this is a must-try. A very nice bar is available. The waiters are very friendly and efficient. Enjoy your visit. The only problem I have ever had is that twice that I have phoned them to place an order I spoke to a staff member that could not understand English. I had to drive there to order my takeaway.
I’m vegan and have been buying the veggie bunny chow almost every day because I’m ill and can’t cook. I order via Mr Delivery which lets you add exclusions. EACH TIME I write NO PANEER (cheese) because I don’t eat dairy and EACH TIME I’ve received paneer. They’re obviously neglecting to check their messages before sending the food out which is a pity because their veggie bunny is really tasty (without the carrot which is sour) but it’s frustrating to keep finding cheese in my food that I have to pick out.
This is lovely restaurant for both take-out and an in-dining experience. With a warm and pleasant atmosphere, a tastefully and artfully decorated environment, delicious authentic cuisine, tasty fun cocktails, and surprisingly affordable prices, what is not to love?
I'll tell you... It's the restroom. That is the only part of the restaurant that gives it away as not entirely upper-class. If not for that, I would have given The Classic India five stars.
I had the vegetarian platter, and I didn't know what most of the food on the platter was, but enjoyed every bite. The cocktails are also great! I can't wait to go back and work my way through every item on the page and a half of vegetarian options.
Food is always excellent. Had butter chicken and lamb curry with butter Naan. Good service and some music will lift the atmosphere
Literally the best Indian food I've had in JHB. If you're from Durban and you miss home food definitely try out this place. Best lamb bunnies, paneer and my favorite the dal makhani. 😍

The Classic India's Butter Chicken and Paneer Makhani dishes are absolutely fantastic and are always consistent in their delicious flavour, whether you are ordering in and taking away.
There are also plenty of other equally delicious dishes to choose from on their extensive menu and their staff is always so welcoming and friendly.

Delicious amazing food. Only comment is to make sure the vegan 🌱 food is marked. It said vegetarian, but I had to ask waitress which ones had no dairy. Will definitely be back ❤️
