Perfect place to stay before taking off on a West Coast tour or going to Namibia. I can recommend any foreigner to stay here for a night or two, at least. Also a great option for a weekend escape from Cape Town, to relax and reconnect with origins. Its lovely IN nature and the smell of Fynbos is enchanting! The food is great too and the people even nicer! I really enjoyed the open-air shower at the bush-camp.

We've been there 4 times. We go for a walk with the dog and the baby and then go eat at the restaurant because the food is amazing. Super great day trip for a family. All the museum exhibitions are beautifully presented, modern and interesting. We love this place!

!Khwa ttu! A wonderful gem in the midst of the west coast spring flowers! We came for the tractor trip but were far more impressed with the restaurant and museum. The food was utterly delicious and well priced whereas the tractor trip was average and overpriced. R900 for five of us. The people were friendly and helpful, the museum fascinating, engaging, beautiful! The video room set the tone. Relax there for 15 or so minutes before walking around the modern glass and flower garden roofed exhibition space, encompassed by the sounds of the bush. We planned to stay for a couple of hours and reluctantly ended up dragging ourselves out at the end of the day. Certainly a must if you are anywhere near the West Coast.

Stayed overnight in the Bush Lodge. An amazing experience from arrival to departure, the food, accommodation, environment, museum and stories of the San.

An absoloutely stunning, tranquil hidden gem!! The restaurant is amazing and really reasonably priced. Our tour guide Nunki was just so cool with such a great vibe and attitude. Really interesting and informative and we wish we could have done all the tours!! Guided tours are R180 pp and last 45 mins. There is the option of the R95pp for self-guided as well, which allows you to enter all rooms and enjoy all tours by yourself. Even though R180pp for 45mins seems a bit pricey, the money is definitely going towards good use to train, educate and help San people setup businesses. We will definitely return, especially for the great food. Highly reccomended!!

Words cannot describe how simply delicious each meal tasted! My family of five each ordered a different meal and each person was blown away with how fantastic the food was presented, how amazing it tasted and the fact that most of the food is sourced from the property! JUST WONDERFUL!!!

The highlight of my visit to South Africa! I stayed in the bush camp tent and had a very zen experience there. I really enjoyed the guided tours (I came back again and again for three tours) that were given by enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides. It was a unique place to hear the San language and to be able to ask questions to which I received honest and passionate responses. The breakfast is amazing too.

During your stay, you’re invited for diverse tours, learning about San culture in a very natural and interesting way, with personal stories from people with direct experience. Within the impressive compounds you start to slow down, and start learning (and living?) San lifestyle - very educational and inspirational. Whoever does the menus / food here deserves some serious praise; the menu is original, full of local (often harvested on the property) ingredients and beautifully presented. Combine this with the property’s ‘wellness tea’, and you’re in for a treat. Outdoor spaces are very well kept, with plenty to see and learn (by means of educational plaques scattered around the property). Indoor spaces are very clean, and there s a lot of great artwork to admire and interesting books to read (their own publications is an exceptional print). There is walking/trail running routes, leading you into the veld where you’ll encounter plenty of wildlife, interesting fauna and more - bring binoculars! Accommodation in the tents is basic, yes, but very clean and comfortable. The outdoor shower is a treat!

We really enjoyed our morning 45 minutes tractor tour and lunch at this informative San “village”. Staff are very friendly and food was simple but tasty and well done. We felt like it’s an interesting place that can have space for improvement ( surely they suffered the long lock down), and we’ll come back to enjoy more relaxing time with family.

Such an amazing cultural and informative experience going through the Museum and exhibits at the venue. They're also walking hiking and mountain biking trails in sight a fantastic restaurant with delicious food. The centre also supports local businesses and farmers. All their produce is sourced to locally. We got married there in 2012 and return regularly to the centre to look at the updated displays and enjoy a good meal at the restaurant. There is self-catering accommodation as well as camp sites available on the opposite side of the r27 making this a really wonderful venue.

I would really like to give this place 5 stars, but I can't. Why I'd like to give them 5 Stars: This place is magnificent... It's rare to fine something that impresses you in an unimpressionable world. These people go above and beyond to make the place serene, comfortable and welcoming with some of the most friendly staff I've ever encountered at an overnight stay. - When I phoned in the morning to confirm my booking, a lady by the name of Melissa answered the phone and she immediately made me feel important and welcome. She answered the phone in 3 languages including my native language. Very impressed - On arrival I was met with shaded under roof parking lined with solar panels. For using alternative energy, browny points already - The walk to reception was filled with information pallets along a clean, shaded and pleasant walkway with friendly staff just going about their business helping maintain the place - Because it was midweek, out of season and my Birthday, reception upgraded my stay FREE of Charge. I haven't seen that since the 90's... Unexpected WOW! - Reception took me on a tour of the facilities where I was met with a peaceful environment that was clean and well maintained - When I had difficulty with navigation ie. finding light switches, getting the fridge to work etc, I was assisted within 30min of phoning my difficulty in - Security patrols through the night and checks in if you'd like them to... Very rare - Breakfast had 5 different options and was served with the swiftest, friendliest service I've had in years Why I cannot? - Their website can have more details and instructions on what you need to bring along and what exactly they have to offer - The Pin drop going there landed me smack dab in the middle of Yzerfontein, about 8 km away - I bumped my head during the night going to the restroom on a branch that was obscuring the darkened pathway - Political ties All in all, this place is AMAZING

Our first night in the bush lodge as newlyweds was truly amazing and the staff is so friendly. The breakfast (that's included) is out of this world. Will definitely come again.

For one, it’s a beautiful place to visit. The buildings and the land is just so stunning. Their café has wonderful breakfast, which is a great way to start the whole experience. All the information about the first people, and their history is so interesting. They explain it in such a intricate way, and take you on a tour of the land. Truly incredible, it was one of my favorite things I did in South Africa.

Great place to walk, ride, get educated about the San people, and have a brunch or lunch. Lovely vistas and many eland, zebra and other game as one walks around the farm. Have a herb garden with info on the herbal medicines the San used. Super friendly staff. Makes a really pleasant outing.

WoW, Wow, Wow! If you haven't been here, you need to make a plan. The restaurant is great, the views are breathtaking and the level of service is next to none! I was upgraded upon checking in, as I was a solo traveler and there were no other guests booked into the section I booked on that night. The ladies at !khwa ttu simply said that they think I would feel more comfortable and if I want it, it sgall be done.they really made me feel safe and looked after!

Our previous accomodation was horrible so we called Khwa ttu and asked if we can shift our stay 1 day earlier, Baby Rose was more than accommodating everyone was fast and friendly. The stay was excellent and the breakfast amazing. The other items on the menu at the restaurant look very enticing we'll be back to try it all and experience the San way. Loved it a special thanks to Baby Rose
