The food was super great and the service was great as well. The gentlemen that helped us was really great and felt like we were old buddies.

Just tested this burger with chips. It's good overall. Found the patty slightly too lean though, which made it rather dry. Pity they don't use a wood fired grill for that special flavour but good on the whole.
This place definitely offers value for money. The portions are massive and the prices are insanely cheap for what you get. It's a little hidden away and not in the best part of Wynberg, but damn is it worth it. When we went there the Grandfather himself was there. Super nice guy! Great place. Will go back again and again.
An absolutely Astounding experience, such amazing quality and value for money. Spur and steers combined really don't even minutely compare to the Grill Father, it's a must try for all Cape Tonians who love their braai & burgers as well as being able to afford it without hassle.
