The wine tasting was fun. Amelia who assisted us msde us feel welcome and listened to us individually as customers in order to serve us what each one's preference was. All the wine available are the product of a world class wine maker which makes every tasting experience unique. The food and service at the restaurant was matched by our wine tasting experience. The ambience inside is awsesome with the big fireplace in the centre and the unspoiled view of the mountains and country side. The huge windows allow you to see everything. Our experience at Nuy on the Hill made the drive from Cape Town absolutely worth it. I can strongly recommend this venue to any food and wine lover living in the Cape region and especially to visitors from other regions/countries. Thanks everyone at Nuy on the Hill for making our visit special.

What a view and the restaurant is situated smack in the middle of it. They have an extensive menu with someting for everyone.... nice light meals. They have a tasting area or you can just order a bottle of their fine wines to drink with your meal. Service was friendly and fast. A must stop on your way to and from Robertson.
From the spectacular hilltop view, to the extensive inexpensive delicious food, efficient friendly service & wine tasting, a treat. If you have not been to Nuy, put a visit on the list.
Stunning location, superb food and excellent wine. Nuy on the hill is a real gem.
This was our 2nd visit. And we were equally as impressed as our 1st a couple of weeks ago.
The menu has a wide selection to cater for all tastes. I suggest sharing starters and mains to expierence the variety and quality. Lovely small deli and wine tasting.

Beautiful venue, definitely some architectural flair applied in design. Food, staff, view and wine were all amazing. Will never drive past again

If you are visiting on a Saturday book. Service is warm and friendly as a pose to impersonal and professional. This is country hospitality at its best. The menu is a challenge as it offers sooo many treasures. Prepare to " kuier" (spend social time with awesome people). Have some of the Nuy wines they cater for the sweet tooth (An excellent Columbar) the dry pallet ( Any of the sauvignons or the Chardonnay) or if you prefer red the Cab and Shiraz is worth a try BUT the Argilla is a gem. Stay for many hours.

It was a busy late morning Road trip in the July hols.... but we got amazing terrace seats with spectacular views.
We have driven past this gem way too many times. And finally decided to stop there rather than our usual half way spot in Swellendam. So glad we did.
Never even knew there was such a beautiful restaurant like that... you would never know driving past.
Seated 10 min before breakfast closed... and we were told promptly so that we knew we had to decide quickly. So that was great, rather than missing out on their Breakfast menu.
Food and service was just as divine as the venue/views.
Pricey, but we'll worth it.

Great spot for an intentional visit or stop over to break a trip on R62... salmon salad was a generous portion and nachos pizza was insane ... couldn't finish it. Busy so people after us had to wait for a table but I see that as a good sign. Lovely views, plenty parking and a great atmosphere to chill and enjoy wines and beers from the region.
We didn't eat but the food going to the restaurant looked and smelled good. Wine tasting was free. Beautiful views and location. Nice wine & Brandy. Will definitely eat there next time.
Very nice restaurant with great pizzas. The big windows at the back offer spectacular views of the surrounding vineyards as well as the Keeromsberg range.
Nuy offers a variety of outstanding red and white wines, fortified wines, and spirits. I really enjoyed the 2015 Barbieri Idro Red Muscadel, as well as the Blended Potstill Brandy.
Whether it be a weekend lunch, a wine tasting or even just to catch up with some friends, Nuy on the Hill will certainly not disappoint.
Fantastic food, massive portions - we decided against the steak and went for a wrap and roosterkoek but those were easily enough for dinner - the staff gave us doggybags. Super friendly service, beautiful views and delicious wines. Recommended!
Ended up visiting Nuy Winery yesterday for lunch.
Definitely a good choice. Had a really delicious lunch and then moved over for the wine tasting. It's not a traditional sit down wine tasting but rather a bar style setup.
The wine tasting is complimentary and we really enjoyed some of the wines. My favorites were the shiraz as well the chant de nuit . The wines are also very well priced and grabbed a few bottles to take home.
My roosterbrood burger was absolutely delicious as well as the pizza my wife ordered. My wife got a red velvet cupcake to take home, which we ate in the car. The most amazing cupcake I have ever tasted.

Wow!!! When we pass by NUY we always saying we want to go in there. But never get that far and today we actually made it a mission and Boi Oh Boi HOW BEAUTIFUL!!! ❤😍🔥 The views, the food, the staff. Well done guys. Will definitely go back again.
This time was our second visit and again did not disappoint. I had the 500g ribs a d to my delight was served a boneless 500g rib simply delicious. My wife had the lamb and loved it too. The service was top class. We ended up going home with a boot full of booze because it was well priced but top quality.

I enjoyed the outside seating in Nuy, while eating their tasty food and a bottle of white wine.
We stopped for a quick bite on tour with the dogs and had a stunning salad in the garden. Water for the dogs was quickly provided by the super friendly staff. The portion of salad was huge and wonderfully prepared. Personally I thought it took a bit too long to prepare but it wasn't an unreasonably long wait. We can only recommend stopping, even if it is just for a quick cup and the amazing views.

Nuy on the Hill has excellent views and great food. It was open on a Sunday afternoon and we enjoyed the outing. There is also
a few items to buy at the shop. All in all a very nice place to eat and drink at.
Amazing, sophisticated and beautiful place to visit. We did wine tasting and unfortunately couldn't do food as well, but their wines are standing out amongst other wineries in the area. Excellent service and beautiful views of the landscape. Would definitely recommend a visit!
