Was greeted by friendly staff and seated upstairs in a nice sunny spot. Had the Salmon Eggs Benedict and was very impressed with a solid portion size. Could have been a tad more lemon flavor in the sauce but still great.
Confused by the low scores. Had a delicious small lunch with only a few starters and a few cocktails. Good food and good service. Thank you!
Stopped by for some lunch and decided to order a few items off the tapas menu. The portion sizes are quite generous and well presented. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. Had the crumbed chicken strips, calamari, and the crispiest onion rings ever. Everything was flavourful, and the location is right in the middle of the Wilderness town.
I liked this place, the decor makes you think it's gonna be yacht club prices but, I was wrong, good value for money, the burger was perfectly made, you think everyone can make a burger, they freaking can't .The staff extra helpful, by bringing the breakfast menu for my lady as she really wanted a sandwich and the place is just clean, fresh and you feel welcome.
We were a party of 4 for lunch. The seating is comfortable and the table was large enough to seat 4 comfortably without feeling crowded. The atmosphere is welcoming and the food was delicious. Our party ordered a deep fried hake ~ crispy outer and the fish was moist only slight negative here was that the chips were a bit cold. two had the catch of the day ~ grilled kingklip ( again the fish was moist) and our 4th member voted the chicken schnitzel the best ever ~ mushroom sauce to die for. Individual tomato sauce servings were a nice change from the bottle used by many places. The service was attentive but not overpowering and at under R600 including drinks it was good value for money. We will be back
Stopped here for a nice breakfast whilst passing through the area. Service was quick, restaurant was clean and the meal sizes are generous. Prices are also pretty good here. Food was good too but nothing mind-blowing - overall a pleasant experience.
Having stopped here on the way back to Cape Town from Plett- it was fantastic to have great service and receive our food within 20 minutes of placing our order. Tapas were a great idea if you want to sample a number of items on the menu. I opted for the Schnitzel however and it was great- got, crispy and tender. The veg was fresh and tasty. The other pax at my table reported the tapas were just as flavourful and surprisingly filling. An absolutely worthwhile stop for a long onward journey or for a meal while on holiday. Can highly recommend!
NEW OWNER! it is absolutely divine! Their wine list is extensive and so reasonably priced! They have the best Tapas in Wilderness, even their onion rings are to write home about. But the KUDU STEAKS are the greatest tasting i have ever had. And best cheese cake. Their breakfasts are also outstanding- especiallt the eggs Benedict with beacon. Yum yum. Been there 3 times in a week!
Visited Wilderness for the first time and had dinner at Blue Olive. Really enjoyed our meals although it was a bit on the quite side but being a week night it was understandable. Would like to see the vibe on the weekend.
Arrived on Wilderness on a Saturday and landed at Blue Olive to watch the rugby. Pleasant vibe and the barman was attentive without being bothersome. In comparison to some restaurants, the portion sizes were a bit on the small side; however an effort was made with presentation.
A very nice little spot with a pretty good chicken schnitzel. The atmosphere of there upstairs, outside area, set in the tree is a nice touch
While in Wilderness for the long weekend, I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant a couple of times. The staff are all warm and willing to please. Mitchell's beer is served on tap and the food (both tapas and full mains) were well made
