Play Area Assistant 09.11.2023 - Westwood Mall To whom this may concern, It is not very often that I get to send an email like this, but I feel it is an absolute must. My family and I visited Spur Westwood Mall yesterday at about 6pm. My daughter is 2 and a half years old and went straight to the play area. I have never felt more comfortable with my child being watched by another person before. The playroom assistant last night was the most warm and caring person I’ve ever seen or met at a restaurant before. She was such a beautiful person; you could just see goodness in her face. She was ready and waiting to help all the kids make the most out of their play time. By the time we were ready to leave she had a whole group of kids sitting and standing around her listening to her speak and laugh with them. She must have been telling them stories, but you could just see from our table that she was really interested in speaking and playing with them. I’ve been to so many Spur restaurants and many other restaurants and I have never see something like this before. It was honestly the reason we have decided that Spur Westwood will always be my family’s restaurant of choice. I pray she gets the recognition she deserves. Take Care and God Bless Nicole

Some of the food is not cooked well, eg. Mushrooms fried too much (but tasty), chips not fantastic. The onion rings were terrible, hardly any onion and flavourless. Chicken burger was very good though. An extra star for having great facilities for the kids.

Having to take our kids out to a restaurant can be very stressful, specially when they 5 an 6 years old. Spur is such an amazing place to go, the kids are happy playing in the play area an it gives us adults time to enjoy our meals without the kids drama.. I would absolutely recommend spur in Suncoast and Westwood, the service is impressive, they take so much of care of your kids an its a bonus for the whole family...

With spur you'd think seen one, you seen them all...but no not this one. Been to this spot a few times..they have the best food out of all the spurs from Umhlanga to Toti. Love the staff, all staff is friendly and efficient, seriously great service. Table's are clean and not left wet and sticky from previous customers. Its also not too crowded and chaotic like others.

Well run spur, never had a problem. Food is well prepared and waiters are knowledgable and dont pester you. This is not a Halaal restaurant which sets it apart in Westwood mall. Best Vegan meals, if you have any issues speak to Lutendo and she will assist to shake up the Kitchen.

One of the preferred Spurs for kids play area. Something could be done regards making it more weather proof though; it’s frustrating for staff, kids and parents when it gets flooded out in heavy rain as it is one of the few roofed play areas to go to in rainy weather. Staff are pretty good and generally a happy vibe.

Best best Spur ever! Best children's play area. Lots of space etc for the kids. Amazing staff. Excellent service. Really rate this as one of the best Spurs to date.

Greeted by friendly staff who provided brilliant service, and the food was excellent. We ordered my favourite Buffalo Wings (Spicy) the full portion (ZAR 139.90). This has about 16 wings and drumettes covered in durky sauce, a portion of chips and onion rings as well as two dipping sauces. One of the specials for the day was Cheddermelt chicken schnitzel (ZAR 99.00) with chips and onion rings. Dessert was a half a portion of peppermint tart with ice cream. Delicious end to the meal.

We had the 10 Prawns with 1/2 coconut rice and 1/2 portion of chips. I had the medium sauce, which was delicious. A really good meal.

I always eat at this spur as they give good or excellent portions of the meals even the fries. Service abit slow but the wait is worthwhile.

The service was good. The play area lovely. Delicious food too. It was a bit dark inside so was a bit of an mission trying to read the menu.

As typical as a SPUR can get, noisy, packed and breakfast is pumping busy with beers flowing to the tables. Is this your craving, thìs is the SPUR for you. Breakfast special ordered was good, presentable and tasty. Coffee was very, very good. Manager is on the ball checking on everyone and everything.

5 stars for the play area tho.. Well ventilated and smells fresh. Food is of great quality although at times missing a few things, like sauces and soft drinks. Staff is excellent.

My favorite Spur by far. It has a massive play area, the waiters provide exceptional service and food is brought out rather quickly. Covid protocol was adhered to very well which impressed me.

Great food and service always. As regulars at this spur . We were very impressed with a waiter Khumbu (if I'm not mistaken)this morning. Excellent customer service friendly polite. He is the best waiter in the food industry period. Manager is also very pleasant.

Very disappointed..as per their web page , which was updated 2 weeks ago, they open till 9pm. I arrived at 19:45 as was told only take aways where available as the kitchen was closed. After my review I was contacted by the Area Manager. Shame a very nice man. He was very apologetic concerning the service I was given and I have since visited this restaurant again and it was a complete turn around from my past visit. Brilliant service and fabulous food. Thanks guys!!

Thank you so much for hosting my son Damiens 2nd Birthday. Your staff and management were super. Only co plaint is that the previous party were there after the party ended so we didnt have all of our party members together. Prehaps a system should be created that when a party is done. Ppl must move for the next party.

Our weekly sunday breakfast at our local Spur turned out to be a stinking disaster, the female manager on shift took our order at 10:15am,1X drifter breakfast special, 1X chicken livers in sauce, 1X mince,egg on brown soft toast and hot beverages. Hot drinks arrived after 10min,after 30mins we had to ask the manager to check on our meals.when it finally arrived the food was like in a frozen state, we complained to another manager called Kevin, he attended to the request thereafter. The drifter breakfast arrived 10 mins later, the mince and toast arrived 15mins later. Mince freezing cold all the kitchen did was change the eggs and send it back to the table.Out of hunger and frustration I replaced my meal with a normal drifter breakfast.Paid the bill 5mins later and left with a huge disappointment. My family and I have supported this SPUR on a weekly basis.SPUR has just lost a loyal family spur member.
