We just had the best dinner at Ding Dong! If you’re looking for Asian fusion, this place is phenomenal. We ate the JFC wings, the prawn bao (not on the menu, pork belly bao, and the Tokyo fries. Everything was cooked to perfection. We were blown away by our food. Everything tasted so good! The staff is super kind and friendly. It’s a small restaurant so not a ton of seating. We ordered a brownie for dessert. It was ok. Their strong point is everything else. Hubby and I left very full.

If you're looking for Bao, stop looking. This unassuming bao-house in a hidden alcove on a quiet street amongst pastel coloured Portuguese buildings sports a humble menu of silky, pillowy steamed buns. The fillings are simple, but ambitious, marrying skilled cooking with powerful flavour and texture. All of this served by a bunch of warm, honest guys. Be sure to pay them a visit whether they're on our out of your way.
Without a doubt the best burger I have ever had. Super friendly staff and a great overall vibe. Would definitely recommend!
Absoloutely amazing. Munched our way through the menu one delicious plate at a time. Quirky sidewalk deliciousness at its best. Love love love. Our waiter was full of suggestions to keep us eating. Pork belly bao.. amazing.
What a little gem. Friendly and efficient service and absolutely delicious food. Would highly recommend. Best bao I’ve had in Cape Town. Best to book as it is a tiny place that seats about 10 people.
Great little place. The pork belly bao was fantastic and the service was excellent.
This little place is super cute! The food was mostly incredible - aside from the pork ramen which tasted overwhelmingly fishy (not in a good way). The Baos and Korean Chicken Wings were amazing though! The seating is very limited and not super comfortable. Service was, however, spot on.
This, is by far the best little corner in Cape Town (because yes I do a lot of corners nudge-nudge wink-wink). We asked the chef to serve us as he thought best - best decision ever. Sushi as we have never experienced before - not run of the mill California rolls or Maki. Yellow tail sashimi in some or other magical marinade, cucumber and tofu salad, tuna from heaven. Chef and waiter makes for a magnificent duo. Go there - really.
Phenomenal food from this little “hole in the wall” style restaurant. This was previously called Lucky Bao, just in case you go searching around for it. Pork belly bao and Japanese Fried Chicken Wings must be tried.
Went here for a cheeky late night dinner, and the wagyu burger was beyond incredible
