Although the owner was super friendly and made me feel very welcome I was so disappointed with the juice I paid a whopping R 46 for. Not only did it take forever to make, it was warm (and when it is 30+ outside that's just not refreshing!) and had so much ginger in which was odd since I ordered the Refresher which does not state ginger at all. Had I not been in a hurry to get back to work I would definitely have gone back to complain. I feel like you can't charge that much for a juice if its not even cool.

Health Bar of Note! The Chocolate Smoothie is delicious even with all the health nut ingredients it has in it. It's also a great place to pick up gluten free snacks, like shortbread and rusks.

Been wanting to try this place. Their chai smoothie thing was really good. It's on the entertainer if anyone wants to try. It's completely worth it!

Personally I like my smoothies thicker :) the combinations are intriguing but not the biggest fan. Quaint bubbly interior, though a but dank. Friendly staff :)

Stopped here having the entertainer and went with the Chocolate smoothie, the Chocolate nut smoothie for my partner, the energizer juice for my nephew and the endurance for my mom m. Being all natural products added and being able to see what's going in was very nice. Taste was good and price is pretty comparable. Small shop on Bree so it's easy to miss I guess ;) Juices were also very nice and refreshing.

My brother and I ventured down Bree Street on Monday 28th September at about noon, to find number 120 - the alleged address of Elixir Café. In fact it is one of three stores that share the address. Elixir Café is quaint and compact with a natural earthy vibe about it - pretty much everything on the menu organic AF, allegedly. We took a table outside in the street; seating is not exactly in abundance – the Café I imagine serves the majority of its customers on the go. My brother commented that the place was trying hard AF to be progressive. They serve an “Africano” instead of an Americano, which comes with a double shot of Gulado. That’s what I got. Pretty decent but it came served with the milk already added rather than separate- which is normally the very reason I like to order an Americano. My brother tried their freshly brewed ice tea of the day, and that was a very nice refreshing drink. Mint is indeed the key to the most refreshing ice tea. Best thing at this place was a free sample tasting of a chickpea curry roti! So good! Food normally tastes great when it’s free!

Since we were simply capitalising on a Group On voucher I had been given, I didn’t register the prices of the beverages. But overall the place was cool and I will definitely sample another item from their progressive menu, and hopefully some more free sample bites, next time I’m taking a stroll down that end of Bree Street.

I challenge you to find a place in Cape Town with better smoothies. The purest, healthiest, feel-good vibes. You can also add turmeric to any smoothie - free of charge. This is a place that is passionate about health and vitality. ❤️

Spending a cold day in town, wondering the streets! and came across this hidden coffee stop! Very small, but the coffee they make are the best! They have so many different flavors! And so helpful, and definitely goes the extra mile to make sure you satisfied with your drink! oh and they don't use cash/credit, only snapscan! So go prepared!

Super cute spot that I've wanted to try for ages. The smoothies were amazing - I tried a berry one and a chai one (using my 2 for 1 Entertainer vouchers) and they were both delicious! I love that they have little tasters of rotis or whatever vegan delights they've baked that day on the counter.

Good place for a quick grab and go tasty coffee, or various interesting and really healthy smoothies. Only downside is them being closed on Sundays but then again a lot of places are in CBD.. Will visit again when walking around and about town thanks!

I was so happy to discover this spot during a First Thursdays event. They have the most amazing smoothies while awesome superfood ingredients. The chocolate nut milk is my favourite. I love any place that allows for substitutions because of lifestyle choices or intolerances!

Cute tiny place in the cbd with many drink options. I was there on 'first Thursday' and it was just uncomfortably packed. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. I had a cappuccino with almond milk. Yummy. Love places with milk alternatives.

Delicious Green Smoothie to quench thirst on a hot Summers day! Super welcoming atmosphere in the small store, nice people behind the counter and pretty colors inside the store. Would definitely recommend to a health-nut who likes smoothies!

Was looking for something natural and came across this little store. They had a nice variety of smoothies and decided to have a chocolate smoothie and Chickpea Roti. It was amazing.

However, service can be a bit slow due to all the smoothies being made from scratch.

Definitely a gem!

Around the corner from work, we often come to Elixir for lunch, mainly because of the chickpea roti. Curried chickpeas, potato, butternut, coriander and onion jam, it is delicious and the portion is generous. And it's only R30. Only downside is that the service can be mad slowwwww.

I accidentally found this place while walking down Bree str and what a surprise. Small inside with cool decor and wooden wall mounted menus. They have seating for three people inside with most of the tables outside on the sidewalk.
What also attracted my attention was their outside look, all wood and just different than most places I have seen.

They have a small and manageable menu, with coffees and some health smoothies. Not a large lunch menu, just basic items to fill the hunger gap when on the run in town. The had veggie rooties on offer, all ready made, which are warmed up and toasted on order. There was also a gluten free rootie available. For the sweet tooth there were a small selection of baked items.
Really a great find to grab a juice and a handheld lunch when you have limited time

What a wonderful little spot in the CBD of Cape Town. Amazing selection of smoothie and juices also some good coffee. You can Oder a delicious and healthy smoothie and then sit outside and what the buzzling city of Cape Town

Little gem in Bree Street. All the food is vegetarian & absolutely delicious. The chunky vegetable soup is full of flavour and one can help themselves to as much as they like for R25. The gluten free almond cakes are little nutty delights whilst the red velvet slices are nothing less of their name sake, perfectly velvety. The service is super friendly!
