Review Maresol - Western Cape

We spent a superb evening at this wonderful restaurant right on the waterfront. As you can see from the photos we ate during the transition from evening to night and the photos we took from our balcony table upstairs were superb. The food is fantastic and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend eating here as it is such great value for money. Great evening.

Went here during the week as I saw that they had a breakfast special. Breakfast was exactly what you'd expectm eggs, bacon and a roll. Simple. The food was cooked nicely and was a good start to the day. Coffee's were also good and were brought quickly. Venue was clean and modern with a lovely view to start the day with, staff were also very friendly.

Five adults and three kids popped in for their special breakfast of eggs and bacon and Portuguese roll. We ordered cappuccinos and the breakfast. It was tasty and came quickly to the table. The coffees were good and service good too. The view is amazing and the atmosphere casual and quiet. The Piri piri sauce was stunning Back here in feb 2019. Went upstairs for a breakfast with a view. Did not disappoint again. Peri peri sauce even better than before

Another great experience for me. Maybe the interior makes the ratings low, but the views over the reflections in the water towards the main Waterfront makes for a wonderful view. Our service was mild to begin but when the waiter started to warm up he was great! Because it was our first time there we were not very sure what to order so we ordered a couple of dishes to share. We were not disappointed at all. We had a wonderful experience and will go back again. But most of all you have to have a Katemba🍷

Had a fantastic lunch here. The food is really good, the cocktails are refreshing, the staff are friendly and professional, and the view is really great. Definitely a place to try for delicious traditional Portuguese food while in CT. Even if you don't eat very hot food (like me, while my boyfriend loves hot food) they can make it mild for you, but you still get the great flavour!

Great place to have breakfast with an amazing view of the Waterfront. One place that doesn't rip off locals with prices. Amazing atmosphere to be honest. Excellent service.

Lovely restaurant with a stunning menu. The waitresses was terribly slow and we had to flag her down a couple of times. The food was tasty and beautifully presented!

Slow to be seated, depsite busy waitrons near the door. After finding our seats, the waitress arrived to ask if we wanted the breakfast special. We asked to see the menu. She then asked if we wanted something to drink. We again asked to see the menu. The filter coffee took just a little too long to get there. It was superb. Our food arrived about ten minutes after our coffee was finished. The breakfast special is R23. I'm not missing a zero, it really was R23. Toasted portuguese roll, 2 eggs, 2 rashers bacon and a piece of tomato. Strawberry jam and butter completed their offering. Slightly reluctant wait staff. Wish i had been asked if I wanted something else to drink, I would have done a quality control and tried another coffee. Go back for the coffee, a good Beira breakfast special and a lovely perspective on the harbour area.

Delicious food and attentive service from start to finish. Adding to the al fresco dining is the view of the marina- what more could you ask? Ordered the kale soup and the seafood spectacular- which consisted of skewer of fresh catch fish (Cod) and queen prawns. The cod was cooked perfectly- tender and juicy with the right amount of smokiness. Prawns were delicious and full of flavor. I was licking my fingers afterwards. Kale soup was also great- right amount of seasoning, kale was tender but not overcooked. I also have to mention how much I love the bread. It was warm, with crunchy outer layer but super airy and soft inside. I inhaled it- and had to control myself not to overeat.
