Ive been to Gecko quite a few times and have always been strangely satisfied when we leave. You never expect much when you go, but I've always gone home thinking...wow, that was actually quite good. The service is fine, the food looks good and tastes decent. Pretty good place to go. Good pizza, brilliant nachos, ok filled pancake... surprisingly good sushi. Spring rolls...uhhmmmm...not so great.
Very good local eating place! Good food and good service! We had an especially friendly and talkative waitress... loved it! Ginormous menu, so, whatever you want; you will most probably find it! Very nice wines and at rather good prices as well... if you want me back... I'LL BE BACK!!!

I was introduced to Gecko Lounge Wellington last year. Since then i have spent much time here. Enjoying time with my friends and family. (Furry family are welcome too). I have met and made good friends here too. The staff tends to crawl into your heart in an instant. I am sure that most Wellington locals will agree. But thats not all, they surve great food and aim to please. If you are a Wellingtoner you are bound to find yourself in Gecko at least once and I will assure you it will be worth the visit. If not a Wellingtoner you should still make a turn if you are passing through town. Hope you will enjoy Gecko Wellington as much as I do.

Kid friendly restaurant - has a nice play area. Quick service. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. I like the fact that the manager checks up on each table. The menu has loads to offer. Very generous food portions and the food is delicious as well. My coffee milkshake was the best! Keen to try their sushi should I be in Wellington again. This restaurant is worth visiting.

We were so surprised by the knowledgeable waitor, good service, relaxed atmosphere and amazing prices, and even more serprized with fantastic sushi, new menu items and never before tasted such great sushi. Other restaurants should take note of a varied menu, not everything needs pork In it, and so we'll priced.

It is hard to fault the service or the food at Gecko. We were pleasantly surprised and would recommend this place for a relaxed dining experience. Secure child playground makes this place very child friendly.

So having lived in wellington for 6 years, u can safely make the assumption to think that there will only be one or 2 places u can really visit more than once... and u would assume correct....
This place is a local. The barman knows your name and service is personal, friendly and fast. Great menu selection including sushi. But pub meals. Daily specials, awesome portion sizes and good value for money. Location not important here, good consistent food, service and ICE COLD beer π» plus value for money and a kids play area.

Great sushi here. Fresh and tasty with a large selection of hand rolls ,tiger roll,philadelphia rolls ,sashimi etc. Pizza Ribs, steaks,salads and starters. Desserts for after. Specials offered daily.
Amazing food, friendly staff and decent prices. Best burgers I have had in SA. Both accommodations for quiet more calm experience and another area for typical bar/pub atmoshpere. Something for everyone! 10/10 recommend
