Sunday evening and it was empty and I have seen this place on Saturday evenings. Service was prompt. We ordered the Meat Mezze platter for 2 and Spaghetti with Greek Mince for my kid. The quantity was more than sufficient and food tasted awesome. Each and every item on the platter had its own distinctive and superlative taste. Definitely going to go back
One of my favorite places to go in Umhlanga, the waiters and the management are always on the ball. The food was incredible as per usual. Must try if you havenāt been.

All I can say is that it was absolutely divine!
Hubby and I ordered the meat platter for 2, when it got to us it looked mouth watering but we thought is this gonna full us both?
So hubby wanted to order another one but I said letās just see how this goes first and lucky we didnāt order another one coz at the end of it we were both stuffed!
Everything on the platter had a different flavour, which was really heavenly.
We didnāt even have space for desert lol, the atmosphere is great as well.
A wonderful meal - each mezzo element was delicious and fun to eat. The service was excellent under the vigilant eye of the manager. A worthwhile meal .
Mythos Greek Restaurant at Suncoast I had so much fun during my birthday party .Great ambience and Food,well the waiters are so welcoming and super cool.I loved the fact that I had to celebrate my day in Greek style I mean,music,dance and also the Traditional Greek plateroutine, v EpicššæI also immensely liked that they allow customers to bring in their own cake and liquor free of charge that just made my dayš¤šæ.A huge thumbs up for this placeššæššæ
Love this place! Our food was ready within 6 minutes and I am not even exaggerating. We ordered two falafel pitas with Greek salad in the side and, to our surprise, they were not skimpy in the falafels! Four falafels, lots of hummus and a fresh, chewy pita later... We ordered the Pistachio and Halva ice cream which again blew us away.

Mythos does the Greek basics very well. I was surprised to enjoy the vegetarian dishes more than the meat dishes! My highlight was the spanakopita, which is a spinach and feta pie as well as the crispy lamb chops. The ambience of the restaurant is also very relaxed, itās a nice place to catch up with friends, have drinks and share food. The service was a bit slow considering the restaurant was relatively empty. Overall, Iād recommend it!

Came for lunch and the manager together with the waiters were very attentive. We ordered the grilled haloumi which was very good. The pita was great as was the souvlaki, the lamb kebabs were tasty but a little tough, the humus was excellent, all in a great meal.
This an incredible authentic feeling Greek restaurant. The vibe is incredible and the staff are so pleasant. The service is great as well. The ambience really is beautiful and does justice to the style of the restaurant.
The food is fantastic. Tasty and fresh. Everything aspect was given the same amount of attention. However the price is a bit steep but worth the experience.
I've been here a few times and one of the best restaurants I've been to in Umhlanga. Staff know the menu very well, and I say this because not every waiter knows their own menu and need to go ask the manager and come back with an answer if there's availability of certain seasonal foods. Food was really good and they are abit pricey but you getting quality stuff.
Really great dinner at Mythos. Served by John who was professional and accomplished. Had the calamari tubes and heads and it was the most delicious calamari we've had in a long time. As good, if not better than The Fishmonger in Johannesburg. Grilled hallumi and assorted dips generous and pita bread fresh and warm. The only disappointment was the taramasalata which was bland. A really well run restaurant and an asset to the brand.

I like Mythos in Johannesburg. The owners are humane and friendly. Always greeting people and making sure all is well.
I decided to go to Durban and had dinner at Mythos Umhlanga.
Food is consistent and well prepared
If you donāt like noise or loud music thatās the only thing that might put you off. When celebrating someone special occasion , they crank up the speakers and lots of clapping. I personally like it as itās few minutes and back to normal.
Overall great space , great service from staff, a walking distance to promenade or the beach.
Great first time visit. Place was quiet for a Sunday evening so we had great service. Attentive staff was there to ask on our needs for the meal. Pita and dip is a must as dips are fresh and tasty. Large enough for a table of 4. Pita meals are very filling and comes with large portion of chips. Souvlaki is equally filling and the added tzatziki was a great addition. Worth a second visit. Prices are well worth it.

Mythos is a great place to go and share tapas whether between 2 or in big groups . From meat ,fish to vegetarian . Great selection of dips with Pita to start off any night . Had a good evening friendly staff through out the night . All dishes were freshly prepared. Highly recommended .

Our waiter Ben was a delight.
We had pita bread and dips for starters. The spicy feta cheese dip was very yummy, but could have been firmer - consistency was a little runny. Pita bread was nicely warmed and could be opened up ... like pita bread should be able to :)
For mains we had the mousakka with greek village salad and baby chicken peri peri with chips.
My husband rated it the best baby chicken he has ever eaten out. The chicken was tender and flavours fantastic. It came cut in 8 pieces which he loved!
My mousakka was really very tasty, but I felt that the topping, a bechamel sauce, was more like a layer of halloumi, but enjoyable none the less.
Good wine selection and a very nice Cappucinno to finish the meal. No room for desserts ... next time. Good value for money - highly recommended and suggest you book ahead.

A beautiful restaurant with lovely ambiance. We stopped here for a quick bite and ended wishing we were hungry enough to order more food. Good service and a nice wine selection.

Having a good time comes standard. We have celebrated two birthdays in recent weeks at Mythos and we have had a wonderful time on both occasions. Our waiter (Blessing) was on the ball and went out of his way to make the occasion as memorable as possible. The food and atmosphere deserves the 5 stars. Please keep up the great standards and we'll be back for many more.
