Superb family meal with great service from Nosipho. The T-bone steak was perfectly cooked ( medium rare), tasty and tender. The sirloin steaks were equally good with very nice sauces. Sundaes for dessert. Recommended.

Had a lovely experience at Spur Umhlanga sands. Great atmosphere and wonderful service. Our waitress Philile was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, as well as the Spur loyalty program. She checked our Spur card, without me asking, and gave my son a free drink. Amazing! 👏 Nelly, who watched the kids in the play area, was very good with the little ones. Playing with them, watching them attentively so that we could eat in peace. Great view. Good food.

A good family venue that needs a bit of planning over busy periods...It's understandable that it was school holidays and very busy.....but the service was far from what Spur usually stands for... The waitress couldn't cope with the large order (12 people) for the first time chips and onion rings were served soggy and oily. Beverages never came even after meals were almost completed. The manager did damage control and personally assisted in serving. .. DISAPPOINTED, Management failed to follow up on email as discussed

This place is always buzzing, no less on a sunny Durban morning, when anyone would be looking forward to have breakfast out on the deck, overlooking the sea. We did notice some delays in our food coming out given how busy the restaurant was. However, the food was good and the views will easily take your mind off the wait.
Staff are friendly, the vibe is nice and the breakfast was a good way to start the day so still worth a visit anytime you're in the area.

Lovely food and good atmosphere. Had cheesy prawn starter and cheddamelt burger as main with pina colada. Chocolate brownie a bit too dry. Great service. Waiters are assigned tables so you get served by different people depending where you sit. Girl with long hair served me and she brought things and without me asking like she read my mind and explained menu.

One of the best Spur steak ranches in Umhlanga. This one is right on the beach inside the Umhlanga Sands hotel. Only good memories here. My kids love this place and it has a good size play area. I have been coming here for many years and it has not changed that much. Only good memories and good steaks.

Sour chocolate sauce served with my child's waffle (never knew that was possible), received a plate with butters & jams some of which had already been opened. I was then served a portion of wings so tough and dry with a vinegar based "durky sauce". Apparently the recipe had been changed, it's disgusting!

Setting is good, nice vibe. Waitress was extremely inattentive. Had a rump that was very far from aaa-grade beef, a quarter of the rump was completely inedible. The manager apologized under her breath while taking the plate away, not assuring us in any way that the complaint is getting any attention. Waitress came back after the manager cleared the table, just asking the usual "everything still okay" after I made it clear that everything was not okay. Won't be back in a hurry.

My fiancée is a totally spur steak fantastic.
But the last the two experience has really put us off and sadly to say it's put us off spur we are now looking at steak houses.
The service has been pathetic the staff and more concerned about packing up then service from the time our food came to us( which was dry and chewy and burnt) not once did a waiter approach us to ask us if we needed anything. That is not a good customer experience. We gave it a second shot and we were disappointed once again.

Worst service ever. Waited an hour for our breakfast, let alone asking 3 waiters for assistance and then waiting another hour for the bill that never arrived. Go up to the counter to pay and yet again , no assistance. Miami Spur, you will not see us again.

Restaurant wasn’t busy but service was extremely slow. Drinks order (3 drinks) was incorrect. 400g ribs arrived and looked far from 400g and was ice cold. Not impressed.
