Absolutely love this restaurant- the sushi is amazing. I’ve been coming here for over 7 years now. Sushi is always fresh and the service is very quick. Staff are excellent, very attentive. Desserts are also well loved.

Incredible sushi and friendly wait staff, everything on the menu is authentic, delicious and Instagram worthy. Definitely recommend.

Oh wow! The sushi here is just incredible! We didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive. Service was great. The menu book was a delight, super easy to choose and decide what you want - each different sushi had a picture to accompany it (so if you're a newbie out there and haven't got all the different sushi names down yet, this makes it so simple!)

What a poor experience. Pathetic from the start. Place was full of flies. The sushi bowls on the conveyer belt had flies trapped in them. Please look out for these flies, even though the sushi is covered. It seems like the kitchen is a mess and the sushi is made and kept and the flies develop inside the bowls. To top it off, it never happened just once. It occurred 3 times in 10 minutes, where I found flies in the sushi bowls. I let my first find slide(I never complained), I assumed that the fly probably got in through the holes at the top or something. The second time I found another fly. I called the waiter and his response was il fan the area and il look if there's more flies. 2 minutes later more flies. I called the manager and all he could do was apologize. Please note flies are dirty germ and bacteria spreading insects that sit on anything and everything then come sit on our food and infect us. The next day we were sick and had to be treated by a doctor. Such an utter disgrace to own and run a place like this. Rather open a stand in a flea market.

Had the buffet option last week, super disappointing. Average variety of sushi on the belt, poorly made and what's up with 1 piece on each plate??? Have to say, I probably won't be back. Way prefer going to John Dorys on a Wednesday, better tasting sushi & better value for money!

The sushi at Bamboo Sushi Lounge was excellent. The staff were wonderful and even ordered from another restaurant for my son-in-law that does not eat sushi. He ate his Pizza with us at our table while we ate the most awesome sushi! Thank you for a wonderful time our whole family had at your Sushi Lounge. We will visit you again soon!!!

Bad service, your waitress does not listen well unfortunately, wait times for a simple veg platter was way too long! Unfortunate experience!

Second time at Bamboo and I've been disappointed both times. The sushi is dry, doesn't taste fresh at all and the variety to choose from off the belt is shocking ! I will definitely not be back !

This isn't the first time I've been to the bamboo sushi lounge, and each time I always order the buffet and eat like a pig. Last night was no exception myself and my friend suddenly became very full and eventually waddled our way to the car. She loved it as did I. We will definitely be coming back. What's the difference between the ones in Northern durban and umhlange?

Umhlanga bamboo sushi restaurant, very poor management, tiny portions of sushi filling, more rice than anything else, very dried out sushi, management can't handle pressure!! THE Worst sushi ive ever had
