Review Beluga Restaurant - Umhlanga Rocks

It's was a great fining dining experience. The portions are great for a three course meal and your don't have to break the bank to experience it. They have 2 & 3 course tasting menu. The 3 course tasting menu is R190 person and all cocktails are half price before 19:00 on week days.

This has to be one of my favorite places to rate! An all round excellent fine dining restaurant. The waiter Mthunzi was brilliant, an all round friendly and helpful chap. The food was bursting with flavour and presentation was executed flawless. Beluga currently has a two course or three course special that is reasonably priced as well as a 50% off on Sushi Dimsum and Cocktails during certain times. Our lunch started of with : Complimentary bread and seasoned butter My sons enjoyed this smooth tasty mash I enjoyed the livers although it was a bit on the plus size in terms of portion. The wife had the sushi starter. Mains : Deboned and ribs on a med of mash topped with onion rings. Wife had a beautiful cut of steak.

Excellent food, comfortable seating and a cozy atmosphere.Perfect for a relaxing evening alone or with friends. I've tried quite a few things on the sushi menu,generally I don't touch the actual menu, but my favourite would be the Tuna Crunch, I would definitely recommend this to anyone but more especially to those tentative about trying sushi, it's devine. One star short because of the drinks, the meals are very consistent in terms of taste but the drinks such as the strawberry daiquiri are not, the coffees haven't been that grand either. Some cocktails taste as if less alcohol was added and some as if a lot was added, it would be best if it was consistent because this causes different potencies . All in all, it's a brilliant restaurant to go to, but if you're looking at cocktails, maybe it's best to skip it for the night.

Everything was perfect except the service... the host and manager made up for it and took over our table tho.. waiters are really below the Beluga standard. Food was great.

Celebrated my girlfriend's birthday here on 4 Jan. First time for us both. Elegant setting. Amazing and attentive service from our waitress Zanele. Delicious food. Highly recommended.

Situated on Palm Boulevard, this is a GREAT place to take advantage of their half price sushi and cocktails everyday from 11AM-7PM. Excellent quality of sushi and wide variety of cocktails aswell as other amazing food on their menu at a reasonable price. Great vibe, Great Service, always a pleasure visiting.

Absolutely love this restaurant, the food never ever disappoints and I always recommend it to everyone. The ambiance of the place whether sitting inside or outside is just amazing. Great for a romantic date or just with friends. Prices are not bad either
