Great choice of food - beautiful views: we even saw Whales jumping. Had the set menu what is good value for money. Party of 4 all happy with each of the 3 courses. Drink orders were a bit slow. Definitely recommended
The atmosphere is relaxing, the sushi was great. It's not your typical sushi joint, they have a flare on the side ;), suggestion, try their prawn tsunami.
Suggestion: Either the Fillet steak with Prawns or the Louisiana King Prawns as mains. I swear you would not want it to end!

We ate off the Winter Special Menu - one chooses three courses for R269. There is a second Special Menu, which is about R40- less expensive. I’m quoting these prices from memory, so check them beforehand if you decide to eat there.
We were both entised with our food. Our starters were creamy chicken livers and asian dumplings, followed by seafood pasta ( I need not to mention that portion size.....MASSIVE) and bassmatti rice with curry. I was anxious that my friend would not like her dishes ( talk about a fussy eater), but she found it to be delicious. For desserts, we both opted for creme brûlée nd ohh boy did it Crack! It was one of the best I've had. Everything was delicious. Just a pity though as the staff disappears you. At one point, we had to stand up and go look for them.
It was truly an enjoyable late afternoon lunch at Mundo Vida Restaurant located on the beach in Umdoti. The atmosphere was relaxed with good music not to over powering and one could hold a descent conversation without having to shout across the table. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. The shared sushi starter was fresh and most enjoyable. Everyone of the party of five enjoyed their meals. I had a medium rare rump with veggies and chips, I love steak and must say that this ranks as 9ne of the best that I had. Without giving away more details, I advise you to explore and enjoy there menu. Relax with a bottle of wine or two like us, good conversation excellent sea view and superb food. Highly recommend.

This is great little restaurant with fantastic views of the ocean and a warm ambiance. The food is amazing. The specials are regularly updated and the staff are friendly and helpful. The prices can burn a hole in your pocket sometimes, particularly if you order the more extravagant dishes, but compared to other similar establishments they are on par and in fact even better. Besides, depending on your point of view, great food and a great dining experience can be well worth it. My wife and I dine here on special occasions and it never disappoints.
Mundo Vida is situated in Umdloti.
+/-12 mins from King Shaka Airport. A seafood restaurant with a great view of the beach. Hubby enjoyed his seared barracuda, with lemongrass asian sauce, bok choy and chips on the side. I opted for the 3 course on offer, chicken dumplings, Louisiana prawns, creme Brulee.
Hot chocolate was lovely n hubby had Virgin Pina colada. Plenty of free parking right outside the restaurant. Family friendly restaurant. A great place to chill with family n friends. They are closed on Mondays n Tuesdays. Kitchen closes at 7.30pm but restaurant remains open till 10pm.
Food and staff never disappoint! Become one of my favorite restaurants! Staff is so welcoming, and on point as well food is so amazingly filling !
