All the food was amazing. We had 2 pastas, kingklip R320 a plate (crazy expensive, but tasted Great!), and I went with Beef Lasagna.
The management and staff are homely and amazing.
Only the price for the Kingklip was exorbitant, everything else was higher than most restaurants but worth it.
A must visit for the Italian food enthuse.
It's expensive and absolutely worth it. I had the veal with mushroom sauce. The wilted spinach is also a winner. Been here a few times, they are consistent too.
Stunning restaurant in every way, incredible atmosphere with all-around views of the beach. Excellent warm welcoming staff. The food wow π on another level. Tried the spinach and ricotta ravioli with creamy tomato sauce as a starter! I have never tasted such a flavourful dish ever. For mains, I tried the baby chicken with steamed spinach and mouth watering. I can still taste how it just melted in my mouth. I finished all my food for the 1st time ever! It's Umdloti's best kept secret. I'm definitely going back there next time I'm in Umdloti KZN. It's an experience I tell you. Loved everything about Bel Punto πππ oh it's child friendly, too
Prime location with the most stunning sea views. 5 star service from the waiters and owners. Food is absolutely delicious. Well worth the price. Luxury experience!
Absolutely stunning place. If you're looking for good quality food then you have to be willing to pay. It was a bit pricey but the money spent was worth the food, service and atmosphere. 10/10.
Sister took us there for her 60th. Waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. Tables were well spread apart. Views spectacular. Food was well presented and pasta real Italian, just like mamma would make it. Host Emmanuele was friendly and well known amongst his patrons. We even had a baby chair provided for my grandniece. The only slight fault I can say was the speed of the food coming out after placing order. Parking ample. Overall a awesome time spent. Definitely a place to experience real Italian pasta and wine.
Had the mussel starter, and in all honesty it was the best I've ever had. The texture and flavour was incredible. Really hat off for the cheff. Had the calamari for main and was also superb
Amazing restaurant with fantastic food. The service was also excellent. Beautiful view over the sea and the balcony area has glass windows that can be closed if the weather is not good. The seafood is very good! I highly recommend the prawns and the crayfish and avocado starter. Cocktails are also good.
What can I say. Bel Punto was one of the highlights of our honeymoon. The food was amazing but the service was exceptional. Waiters that just know exactly what you need when you need it without being disruptive of the meal. Highly recommend this place. It's quite pricey but worth every cent
This restaurant is great! The first thing that is obviously mesmerising about it is the view; it is right by the ocean and it has glass walls so you can enjoy the view and and still be warm and cozy indoors on colder days (I can't say winter because that doesn't exist in Durban). The food was amazing; the main theme was seafood on the table and everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was impeccable; there was always someone to assist us. The only hiccup is the cost but all worth it!
Enjoyed a late lunch. Great ocean views and open air feel. Abundance of natural light. Ordered oysters as a starter. Main meals ordered were the half baby chicken with prawns and chips, calamari with prawns and chips, lamb chops and another prawn dish. As other reviews have mentioned, Bel Punto is known for their seafood. The delicious prawns were sizeable and well prepared. The tiramisu is incredible. Trust the waiter's recommendations and you won't regret it.
Bel Punto has been our go to place for many many years, it is by far one of the most consists restaurants in a 100km radius. Emanuel and his team never seem to stop amazing me. Keep up the great work
Bel Ponto is one of the best places I've dined at. Beautiful view to go with a beautiful interior. The menu has a wide variety even for vegetarians. (I only tried the sea food) The food was absolutely Devine and the presentation was great! I would really recommend the seafood pasta. The desserts were delicious. I enjoyed the Italian kisses. The cocktails were also really refreshing!
Anything short of 5 stars would not be an honest review. Making the reservation was simple, on arrival we were seated with a sea view. Price matched the food and music playing throughout the restaurant felt as if I never left the table. Waiter was amazing however kitchen staff win over my praises due to turn around time from starter to mains.
Beautiful place. Indoor seating with a beautiful view. Not much by way of vegetarian options but good food and friendly staff. Worth a visit.

I don't often give a 5 star (by no means a critic) but this is truly outstanding. The prices are 20-30% on your average but believe me when I say this, "you get what you pay for".

Waiters at professional, the food is exceptional and the setting is superb.
You will love it. I'll be back in 4 days time for the baby chicken as we are here on a weeks holiday and I must try it before we go back.
Amazing service...waiters that actually know what they're talking about, they understand the menu well and are polite and eloquent. And the seafood is a win by far! Fresh and well flavoured. Their caper lemon butter sauce on line fish is a salty buttery wonder. The fact that all bookings can be done and confirmed online is a loss point because its so convenient, fast and effective. Beautiful ocean view π
