I can't remember when last I've left a restaurant feeling so satisfied? Monya's on Boundary is amazing! Their menu is basic with a fantastic variety. Decor is simple and tasteful with a romantic atmosphere.
We ordered the Springbok Carpaccio and the Garlic Snails for starters and were blown away! After the host, Bertie gave detailed instructions on how to eat the carpaccio (*jy rol hom op, steek 'n olyf en 'n "caper", maak hom bymekaar in die "balsamic" asyn, en druk dan die hele ding in jou mond!!) We followed his instructions, and WOW!!! A taste explosion!
For mains we ordered an Eisbein (mine was golden, crispy and beautifully salty, with fall-off-the-bone soft meat on the inside) as well as the Rump, served with the most delicious mash I've ever eaten.
Even though we had NO SPACE left for any more food, we somehow managed to convince our very quick and attentive waitress Gillian, to bring us a Frangelico Mousse and the Chocolate Brownie served with Chocolate Ice-cream.
Thanks to Bertie and chef Michael! We had a great time and will definitely be back soon for more delicious dinner dates! 💖
The calamari steaks are like butter and melt in your mouth. Cant wait to have a breakfast here, the pics look amazing. And as always, Bertie's service is as good as it gets.

I love this restaurant! The food is 5 star and all the staff are extremely polite and friendly. They didn't have cranberry juice, so the manager drove to Checkers and bought some juice. I was very impressed.
Absolutely lovely little restaurant! The food was absolutely divine and the service was excellent. If you ever find yourself traveling through Tzaneen, this place is a MUST! 10/10
I’ve heard great things about Monyae’s and I had to try it! Everything was delicious & on point. I catered for our work event and we had a fabulous feast of chicken wings, palmetto dogs, deviled eggs, mac n cheese, potato salad, banana pudding, peach cobbler & pasta salad! We were stuffed & sleep after that!
Amazing service, the supervisor on shift Friday 12th November 2021 gave my niece and I exceptional service.
Once we received our Cocktails & Food he went the extra mile to gather information with regard to booking the restaurant as a venue, decor etc and discussed it with me at my table.

Very nice chilled spot, I stopped by for a quick light meal over an online meeting and loved the place, the food was delicious too.
This place is beautiful, peaceful and the food is great, but the drinks? Out of the this world I love it here.

The T bone steak was cooked to perfection and the creamed spinach is to die for.
Carrot cake was delicious. The atmosphere was very cold. It realle needs more decorating.
