Good looking diner. Manager/owner/barman has very good attentive skills. Enjoyed my stay. The burgers is off the chart. Would highly recommend. Chips could be better but I have had worse. Makes for a good lunch/dinner! Keep it up!

Such an exceptional experience. The service was top notch and the food was great. I had the rock n roll burger. The party was cool to perfection and the chips were nice and chunky. My partner had the bacon nachos. They were also extremely good and super greasey. I'm assuming a great hangover cure.

Awesome spot, music is great but at a good volume so you can chat, burgers were awesome (any place that asks temperature of your burger is on the ball) and the chips were good. Nice decor and the staff were very attentive and all the ball. Highly recommended!

Very good selection of burgers and very delicious. Slightly more expensive than Jerry's Burger Bar but definately worth it as there patties are amazing! They do beers as well as takeaways, great to have a craft beer while waiting for your order. Will be back very soon!

One of the best dinning locations in Table View. Throughout the week they run amazing special on burgers, chilli poppers and pizzas, including specials on craft beers. The pizzas I've had here was honestly some of the best I've ever had, on top of that you won't find another place that can beat their prices. Staff are always friendly and helpful..

Kloof Street Branch - Our first visit was not a positive experience. After posting my comments the manager contacted us to apologize and invited us back to redeem themselves. Taking them up on the offer our expectations were met and we enjoyed our evening at the establishment. Will definitely visit again.

Absolutely phenomenal!!! When going out for dinner it always seems like it's a bit of a gamble as the standard of food and service is not always on point. However Rock Star Diner in Blouberg is a restaurant where you will not be disappointed!!! Burgers are absolutely delicious cooked to perfection. Do yourself a favour and be sure to order sweet potato fries, its a winner. The service was impeccable, the waiter was on the ball and we will defintely be back regularly!!! Thank you to Donovan and the team!

Discovered this gem of a place on the Entertainer app. WOW the food was so amazingly good! Hand made 250g mince burgers or chicken breast. I had the one with pepperdews mozzarella and feta without the bun. Came with really good hand cut potato wedges and sauces. For only R100 the smaller burger is R75. SO WORTH THE TRY. They also have craft beer I had an amber Weiss by CBS i was so so impressed with the food, vibe and the people. The good rock music and friendly staff didn't hurt. A must try. My man and I are really critical with restaurants as we have both worked in the industry and we were both so so happy with this place. We will be back especially with summer coming up. Thank you for the amazing time :) <3

Cute little diner. It's on the beachfront, there's no view, but you can easily go for a stroll after your meal. They've got great specials on offer. Sunday is 2 for 1 cocktails, winner. They have some interesting alcoholic milkshakes, like Jagermeister and Oreo and peanut butter and Jack Daniels honey. The rest of family had burgers or pizza, which they all enjoyed. I couldn't make up my mind and finally settled on the nachos. Just no. The guac and salsa and toppings were great, but the nacho chips themselves were oily and bland. Stick to the burgers and pizza. The service is not speedy, so if you're fine with relaxing and waiting a bit then it won't bother you, but if you're a stickler for an attentive waitron and not a fan of waiting very long for your food, then I'd suggest you might give this place a skip. On the whole not a bad experience, I'd give it a go again, so I can try the burgers or pizza, as what was brought to the others around my table looked very good and it's got a cool vibe about it.

Wow, so disappointed... that I haven't had their pizzas before! Perfectly made thin based pizzas oozing with flavour and generous toppings. Great stuff, guys! Nom Nom. We had bbq chicken... our top rated, but a great HMS and cheese sausage pizza too. Will be back for more!

The place was pretty quiet for a Saturday. The burgers are decent and their sweet potatoes fries are good. Was s bit disappointed that there wasn't any bottled craft beer and the one craft beer on tap wasn't available.

We stay close by so we often find ourselves here for an after work drink, the ambience I would give it a 3 but the food is definitely on a 4,3. The bacon and cheese burger is literally soooo delicious, it’s the one I always get. The bun could be a bit better but the heartiness of the filling makes you forgive the bun. The chips are thickly cut so you’re in for some tasty goodness, overall the burger meals are a sure winner. The pizzas are great if you want to nibble while you’re out drinking with your buddies but if you want to be satisfied then go for the burger. They have specials throughout the week

burgers are delicious!! food took a while to arrive but were hot when they arrived and fresh, I'd take that over cold food any day. chips were soft on the inside and golden crispy on the outside, burger patties were pure beef and huge and juicy. delicious!!! I enjoyed their wings too, fresh as it was prepared after we ordered it and the ranch sauce they offered was great. very quiet, not many people as I think they're not aware of how here at the food there is. and they're on the entertainer! great food and not badly priced either!! I had the rockstar and my bf had a bacon cheddar both 250g but I definitely couldn't finish mine

Stay away rather go to Jerry’s burger bar around the corner or even make your own. The quality is very very low for the price. Used Spar brand potato chips and burger buns. In that instance I mights as well do myself. Not worth it.

Went here for a burger with my wife on Monday 19th Feb, we were the only customers and it was about 8pm, not a good sign, but it was a monday and we hadn't tried this place before, so we ordered a burger each, I ordered the rock star and she ordered the rock 'n roll. I had sweet potato fries with my burger and they were the most unique thing about my meal, the burgers were ok, but nothing more than what we could have made at home and at R100 a burger I expected something more, which unfortunately wasn't there. Oh yes, the music was pretty cool, but this rating is about the food, which in my humble opinion was pretty ordinary.

Yum! Thanks to the Entertainer we found ourselves at this awesome burger bar. Love the rockster vibe, my cheese burger was delish and my pineapple margarita was the perfect mix of alcohol and fruitiness. We’ll definitely be back.

It was a bit of a wait for my burgers as they were insanely busy, but my goodness was the wait worth it! We had the Rock and Roll burgers, one with regular fries and one with sweet potato fries and I say this without any coercion, that was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and I mean EVER! Great place with good food. The service is the only thing that I can put blame on. Although it was very personal and charismatic, the food took a good hour and a half before it was served. It was extremely quite as there with only 3 other tables besides ours. The manager apologized for the wait, and blamed Mr. Delivery for the wait, but it felt forced and rushed.<br/>We orderd the cheese griller chilly poppers for a starter, but only 2 of the 3 was. One was a plain fetta and mozzarella popper. <br/>The rest of the food was delicious and was generously portioned. <br/>I would still go back. I enjoyed my time there, but I wont be there on their busy nights, which apparently is Thursdays. So much for buy one get one free pizzas!<br/>

Me, my brother and company went to this place on 9 August. Small but cozy restaurant. We ordered drinks first, although I just ordered some water. After a while we placed our orders for burgers; waited 25 minutes despite the restaurant being reasonably quiet with only one other big table being occupied with a family, I did the red hot chilli burger with 250g beef patty; although I waited long but WOW, another great burger which I enjoyed every moment. You guys are tops with the food but there's a drawback that you guys don't serve hot drinks.

Ordered a take out and went to collect. Ordered 1 x Mushroom & 1 x Pepperdew burger. We added to that 1 x Peanut butter shake and Strawberry shake! Burgers were fresh homemade patties and the shakes really delivered on flavor! Quality indulgence! I recommend their chow for sure!

Very disappointed at bad attitude of management. Called to place takeaway order and was told that they were not taking orders for takeaways but on MR D app they were. Maybe it's because they sell a R40 hotdog off their menu for R70 on the Mr D app. Absolute rip off.<br/><br/>Update:<br/><br/>They solved the problem by almost doubling the price of Hot Dogs on menu at restaurant making their hot dogs one of the most expensive and worse value for money in Cape Town. <br/>

Don't be deceived by this small diner we found on the Entertainer app. Loved the clean cut rocker theme, the playlist and of course the food! <br/><br/>Their chilli poppers are one of the best we've had in Cape Town, big and cheesy with the perfect amount of bite. Hubby had Slayer Burger, naturally! and I had the Rock n Roll. The patties are absolutely great and tasty, topped with fresh ingredients all round. Font miss out!

Ended up here by using the entertainer app. Its a pretty laid back place. Playing nice rock music. Had a burger which was delicious. The place is a bit hidden but would definitely recommend someone to go check it out for something different.

Service is not the best only 2 people one barman one waitress . We had a pizza and a hot dog the sausage was great but the roll seemed very old and they just toasted it to disguise the staleness. the pizza no complaints the vibe neutral, prices good

Just off the main road...this small joint offers a lot. I had the Bacon,feta poppers...awesome stuff. Waitresses very friendly and the music just up my ally...some great rock tunes,a welcome break from the mainstream music some places play. Highly recommend this place.

If you weren't looking for this place, you'd miss it, in a side street with no view to offer like the other places around the corner. But nonetheless we decided to try them and went for a late lunch. We ordered the jalapeño poppers for a starter and shared 3 pizzas and nachos. The poppers and pizzas were good, nachos were made from what tasted almost like samoosa pastry and not the traditional way with corn chips. While we were seated there were two unwelcomed guest crawling on the wall, not very pleasant at all.

After reading reviews here we thought we'd give it a try. Well definitely the best chilli poppers I've ever had. And a bonus they had a special. 2 for 1. Burger was also excellent. Pizza very average. Overall a lovely little spot. Very friendly and reasonably priced with specials every night.

Living in the area, I am ashamed to say I never tried this little gem out before. We used Entertainer vouchers to go through for lunch. The day time vibe is not the best, we were the only diners there the whole time but aside from that, it was great! It's definitely more of an evening vibe and I am sure it must be a great place to go for dinner. 3 of us had the nachos, which were very pizzary and not quite your traditional nachos but they were definitely super tasty and a huge portion! I like mine with more heat though, this was easily fixed with the three hot sauces served with meals though. They have really awesome specials every night of the week too. I'm super keen to try the burger special night!

I love this place. Great music and decor. Awesome homemade burgers and the sweet potato chips are really nice. Perfect crispy Base pizza, not destroyed with too many toppings and are very tasty. The food takes a little longer but at least you know its being made for you and is fresh. All that and craft beers on tap. We will become regulars for sure. Next time I'm trying the chilli poppers.

I like the concept. Very similar to Saints (maybe a bit too much). Not really a fan of the 80s rock music, but the burgers were tasty, service was good, and the sweet potato fries were incredible!

Nothing Rock Star about this diner. Nice concept but very bad execution. Heard the burgers were good so decided to give it a try. Service was very bad and there was no coffee on a cold night. It took collectively 50 minutes to make 2 burgers, 1 portion of chips and 2 chilli popper portions, all ordered at the same time and they were not busy. Ultimately what was on the plate did not justify the price. We got the chilli poppers on the house but that's not enough as not once was any verbal apology offered for anything. If you want a decent burger try Steers instead.<br/><br/>Very disappointing. We won't be back.<br/><br/>*As a followup to this rapport, I also emailed the owner who assured me he would look into the matter.  Thank you Johan for your speedy response.

Best burgers in town by a country mile!! Thick, juicy, real beef and superb chips, as well as magic sweet potato chips. I've had takeaways a few times now & never been disappointed, but must find the time to sit and eat as it's got nice, chilled ambience.
