We were at barrels last night and had a lekker rump, and I have to say best steak in Swellendam, the service was great and fast. Overall Aces Gerry Aces!!!

We have been to Barrels & Blues often! The best Steak and Pizzas and the atmosphere is excellent!
The bar and restaurant has a really cool blues/rock theme with unique decor. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, with great recommendations. The pizzas we had all tasted great, were fresh and nice portions for the price. Be sure to ask for a marker to write on the wall to leave your mark when you visit!
We stayed here in both the private rooms and the dorms. Very clean with a fun character. Though the dorm shares the main house with the bar, we didn’t have any problems with noise. The owner was so kind and helpful with any issue we had. He went above and beyond to address any concern. The highlight for me was having the bar downstairs, it was a great social atmosphere that really added to our stay.
My wife and I stayed here fir 2 nights and it was amazing. The venue is beautiful. The staff are super friendly and the rooms are kept exceptionally clean. Oh and you MUST try the snail starter and Pizza, they are to direct for.

A great place with a lively atmosphere. Has a pub inside with indoor and outdoor seating. Pizza was great. The burger with potato wedges and onion rings is wonderful. You will likely offend someone by trying to eat the burger! Service is friendly and quick. They also have a large selection of drinks and cocktails. Very popular spot. Play area for the kids too.
We didn't stay there. Food was yummy and vibe was a buzz. Had 2 famous evenings there.
As a fellow biker, the Macs we met there were really nice and welcoming. The service was very personalised and I felt at home right away. The Monday burger special is really good value.
Literally the thinnest crust I’ve ever had on a pizza but is it ever good! Toppings were all good, and the chilies on the side was a thoughtful touch. Now we could share with those who couldn’t handle the spice.
Made me feel very welkom. Food excelent and price very affordable.
