I recently had the pleasure of dining at Raasoie, an Indian restaurant that exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I stepped in until the last bite, my culinary adventure at Raasoie was truly unforgettable. The Bhuna Gosht, a lamb stew, stole the show and became the highlight of my meal. Tender pieces of succulent lamb cooked to perfection in a rich, aromatic blend of spices and flavors. Note that starches are charged separately! The diverse menu at Raasoie showcased their commitment to authentic Indian cuisine. The attentive and friendly staff at Raasoie enhanced the dining experience. The inviting ambience of the restaurant provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of indulgence. If you're seeking a remarkable Indian restaurant that surpasses expectations in the area, look no further than Raasoie.

Food had lived up to my expectations. The curry portions aren’t big but it works out perfect with the ratio to the roti/rice or naan, very filling. Curry does not come with roti/rice or naan. Those are required to be ordered as sides. The menu items are relatively well priced in comparison to other Indian restaurants in PE and/or those situated alongside Walmer main road. Many items on the menu are not in stock which is why the restaurant is rated 4/5. Had to change my order 2-3 times due to the limited stock they had. Their vegetarian portions are much bigger in quantity so I would definitely recommend people to place orders for vegetarian curries. Nice seating outdoors at the back with good air flow but protection from PE’s wind. The restaurant inside feels claustrophobic.

Amazing and affordable food! Best indian food I've ever had for sure. Staff is incredibly nice and friendly I truly recommend it will be coming again if I'm in town!!

Oh my goodness. The most delicious curry I have ever tasted in my life. The Butter Chicken Curry is to die for. The food was hot when I bought it as a takeout. Thank you Raasoie. We will be back.

The five star rating is for the food. You get a good selection of dishes at very reasonable prices. They have interesting starters (we had the onion bahji which was enough for two). Their dishes are well spiced but not hot (I'm not great with spicy food so it's something I liked). Corkage is R30 (March 2019). The restaurant has a view of the ocean with the option of sitting inside or outside. If warm enough the outside area will give the best view. Service though very polite was rather slow, so probably don't go here when in a hurry.

I love this restaurant. Delicious Indian food, which is beautifully presented! Beautiful views of the sea. It's great to sit out on the balcony. I highly recommend the Tikka Chicken Masala Curry, Butter Chicken and the butter roti or cheese and garlic naan.

DELICIOUS FOOD! We did go early evening, hence the low atmosphere rating. Decided to rather have a takeaway. Lamb Koma & Prawn and Chicken Curry with rice and garlic Naan bread. Compared to another well-known Indian food restaurant in Gqeberha, amazing flavor! We will be back!

We've loved Raasoie since it was in summerstrand :D we have followed it to Walmer. Still great. Authentic Indian cuisine.

Best Butter Chicken and best Chicken Biryani in PE !!!

I didn't like Indian food..until I had theirs. Absolutely everything tastes so fresh. The naan alone blew me away with how fresh it was.

Excellent authentic Indian cuisine in a restaurant with a stunning view of the sea and the beach. lots of choice on the menu and I loved my lamb vindaloo.

We love this restaurant the food is absolutely fantastic and the children also always enjoys. Will recommend it to anyone who is craving indian food.

Great restaurant! The view from the restaurant is amazing and the food was great. We ordered take aways and I was worried that it wasn’t going to be enough but when I opened it it was truly enough for a person. I can recommend this place to anyone looking for good Indian cuisines. Prices are reasonable and remember that you need to order your curry and rice separately (and they have a wide variety to choose from!)

My favorite spot! Lovely tasty food. Never leave pe without paying your place a visit! It never dissapoints. Keep up the good quality!!! And off course the view is to die for on a stunning sunny day!

Only Authentic Indian food throught South Africa is served here...jus loved d food, infact the owner was so friendly we had chat for some time. I ate paneer and must say it was so cotton soft that i cant get over it so soon...superb view of sea, cool breezes, friendly staff and yummy food makes you want to spend longer time dere...n yes only Indian restaurant on d route..both in Port Elizabeth and Knysna.... :)

We were looking for a vegetarian restaurant, and found this really good one! (They have a lot of non-vegetarian meals on their menu as well) Berlin, where we live, has over 300 Indian restaurants and since we love Indian food, we often go eat. Since we visited very many Indian restaurants in Berlin, we are able to compare whether an Indian restaurant is good or not... Raasoie is just amazing and really worth a visit! And the Staff, inklusive of the owner, are really friendly, helpful and caring!

It has been our favourite treat since we moved to PE 6 years ago. We went last night & were so disappointed. The service was unimpressive but the big disappointment was the food. The kitchen didn't seem to cope & I had the Palak Paneer & the spinach was unwashed, and full of sand. It's been our favourite spot for so long, and so sad that the quality has gone down so badly. Not sure we'll go back again. 😔
