How do we give a 10star rating for Timeless cafe? From the moment we walked in up until we left the experience was nothing less but exceptional. Fantastic Vibe, Friendly Staff, Food is absolutely fantastic. The food is tasty and like nothing I have experienced in a while. Definitley my fav Breakfast spot from now on. Thank you Chris and Team!!!!

Even in loadshedding we could enjoy a nice Lunch, staff is friendly just a little slow but it could have been because of the electricity issue. Thank you Heilletje

Really tasty food at decent prices! The waiters are friendly and the overall service good. Just a little noisy, but to be expected being near the main beach.

never had their food, but i go there daily for some tea. highly recommend, staff are really chilled and nice view.

We were impressed that the owner even made a turn at each table to make sure everyone was help and ok. I gave a 4 star because we waited very long for our order. And then it was loadshedding and they were not able to make tastiest so I had a muffin and tea.

Stunning café with excellent coffee (or in my case, a red cappuccino). It is usually bustling over the weekend and the timeless effect would have you believing that you are in a storybook small town. Excellent, friendly service. I truly enjoyed the experience

We were disappointed as it’s so small and it’s not cheap. <br/>The coffee wasn’t very good and also, the prices are not low. <br/>The service was quite bad. There was a lady and a guy working. She was suppose to be our waiter and he constantly had to come to her rescue; she would say she’ll bring us napkins and forks (she didn’t bring it with the food) and then she’ll just disappear. <br/>The tables are decorated cute. Even though the flowers looks cute, there’s dead worms in it. Not appetizing to look at while eating my food. <br/>They got one good thing going for them, the view. Don’t simply rely on this. <br/><br/>Not sure I’ll return. I feel it’s not worth spending your money and not getting the worth back.

Friendly staff and prompt service from Arnold and his colleagues. The food was tasty and the view incredible. Brought some friends from Europe and will definitely do it again.

I've been working Somerset West and had an early day, so my friend and I drove down to the beach in search for brunch. We found Timeless Cafe and picked it because there were tables outside to admire the beach - but it was waaaaay too windy, so we sat inside. <br/><br/>Their menu is very limited and from what I could see, the portions are average but appetizing. I ordered a strawberry milkshake which was nice but nothing to eat as nothing in the menu really caught my attention. My friend had some wine and a scone. She said the scone was really lovely. <br/><br/>All in all, a cute little spot.

Cool location. Food and drinks are okay. Service is not great. Most times I've been there it's been average at best. But to sit outside on a nice day makes up for it a bit.

We arrived at 09:15 sat down ordered coffee immediately then ordered scones to be told sorry they are in the oven, then asked for muffins and told the same story. we then ordered a croissant, this came long after the coffee was finished, thereafter we ordered another coffee and waited. When i went inside to attempt to cancel i was shouted at ,"the coffee is made and you will be charged" thereafter whilst writing i was again verbally abused to be told," write what you want" i will list you as a bad customer. i will spread this experience wherever

This mirrors some of the comments above. Firstly, yes a really great view which is why the restaurant is always full. Just a pity the owners take some of the best seats with the ocean view. I agree that you have to be a local to get fair service. The owners are a little rude here as they will, for example, give incoming locals a table outside when we are already waiting for one. Also, when you wait in line to pay, the locals behind you in the queue get helped first. I go there for the view but the owners are rude and off-putting which is why I can only score them a 2

Very nice setting and view. Food was delicious, service was just very slow. Also waited very long for our food. Overall a nice place to visit, just don't expect fast service.

Cute little place in Strand, but seems like you need to be a local to get attention. Got our coffee, but had to ask for sugar. Asked for soft poached eggs got one medium, the other hard. If you can't poach an egg don't put it on the menu, or ask people how they'd like them done! Just an observation. Don't think I'll make my way back there again, but I'm sure the locals love it!

Terrible service. Food was average... Not really worth the money or time. P.S. If you ask for honey be sure to know that it is a 'charged extra' - really ridiculous. Such a pity... As the location is a real beauty, right on the beachfront with a stunning view.<br/>

Timeless cafe is one of the restaurants that has an outdoor seating that lets you sit under the sun and enjoy a nice Sunday morning breakfast. It is not a fancy restaurant. However, they make some of the amazing dishes that i know of. <br/>This restaurant is always full. Don't be surprised if you are asked to wait until a table gets free. <br/><br/>Since i am a vegetarian, i mostly end up customizing my dishes. Firstly i ordered  a croissant stuffed with cheese and mushroom (the original dish is with scrambled egg and mushroom ). Secondly, a scone with shredded cheddar and raspberry jam.  The croissant that they make here is simply irresistible. The whole dish is well prepared and garnished. i cant say anything bad about the scone either. <br/><br/>Pros- <br/>good food, friendly staff, outdoor seating.<br/><br/>cons-<br/>the order takes a tad too long to arrive.   No indoor seating.
