The pub gives you a very rock & roll feel. It’s probably perfect for students here with cheap alcohol and food. They have live performances over weekends featuring African metal ? If this is your vibe you should definitely give this a try. I personally didn’t enjoy my time here and the nachos were quite the disappointment but the peppermint jaeger shots were 👌🏼 We were told by the locals that the location is quite sketchy and we shouldn’t park our car there or even go by foot.

Probably one of my favorite places in Stellenbosch. They provide sick live music and even karaoke nights. I don't know why but this place attracts some of the best pool players in the country, be prepared for a fight on the pool table. REALLY cheap drinks & specials too which is nice.

First time here, had a blast with the battle of the bands, was an awesome birthday celebration.

Quiz night is the VIBE! And always a great place for a lekker jol! Bartenders are super friendly and fast. Thanks for the great pizza too!

What a vibe... ok, to be clear, it's geared for students in my opinion- but it's a fantastic place if you want to come down a couple of notches, maybe take off a couple of years, and enjoy a drink and a FANTASTIC pizza. Then, in the evening, if you are lucky, there is some super talented local SA band or DJ to rock the night away to. And the fifth 🌟 cause it made me feel nostalgic and time warp back to when I was a student...

Great atmosphere with that 'rock n roll' vibe ; always awesome to watch live performances and the bar is great (service and price wise 👍). Was there again for the first time in Years to watch some musicians I know play live. Place is managed well ✌

Aandklas is the perfect place to eat some good food with some good mates! If your interested in life rock music and watching sports, it's the perfect to drink your beer

Went to the Battle of the Bands in August 2023 and really enjoyed the experience! Thank you to Aandklas for hosting such an amazing experience!

Karaoke. DJ takes requests. Abundance of seating. Two dance floors. Staff are super helpful. Overall great experience and you don't have to wait in queue!

The food, the karaoke night was very good as well. Good company. Makes sense for anyone above the age of 23

Aandklas is one of the best and most consistent student hangouts in Stellenbosch. It’s one of those places that has everything; great cocktails, great specials, delicious pizza at student prices, outside seating, indoor dancing, pool tables, and of course, live music. <br/><br/>You can go to Aandklas for cocktails in the afternoon, beer early in the day, quiz nights in the evenings, or insane live shows on ‘special occasions’. It really is an awesome place. And they’ve been consistently awesome for years. <br/><br/>When visiting, do order their potato skins (they’re the best I’ve ever had) and their Pangalactic Gargle Blaster, Call me a Cab and R.O.B cocktails. They are simply the best.<br/><br/>Cheers Aandklas, here’s to more years of epic times.

Nice big venue that accommodates live music and has a dance floor. The vibe depends largely on how full the place is. The food isn't too bad either, they make decent pizza and the snack baskets are pretty good at the price. A solid student joint in the heart of Stellies.

Except for the fact this this is one of my favourite hangouts, we drove all the way from Durbanville just so that I could have my Love try their pizza, which in the 4 years that I've been living is Cape Town is still the best pizza I have EVER had, and it was amazing, as usual! He agreed with me and he isn't scared to tell me if he has had better! Their Hoggidy Hog is just perfect! And the Potato skins with Cheese sauce! Had the Slow Boat cocktail and it is just devine! Refreshing as usual!<br/><br/>The only thing, honestly only thing, about aandklas that gets to me is, is seems slightly uncared for. I was there 2 years ago, yet still a sink is broken. It feels slightly unloved. They could really do with a revamp but keep the vibe and old school theme. It make it Aandklas!<br/><br/>I'll always come back here if this places keeps up its food standard and it's amazing old school music!

Great little "student vibe" gem in Stellenbosch! We visited the town for the day and decided to take a walk over to Aandklas. There's a "games area" with pool tables etc for the younger crowd and this is perfect for a student town like Stellenbosch.<br/><br/>We were served promptly and food was served within 10-15 minutes. I ordered the chilli poppers starter - a steal at R40 considering how large the portions are! My friend's also ordered the "chicken stripteaser" - very large for the price (R45), as well as the voël vry burger (chicken patty) and a large Hog Hoggidy Hog pizza - bacon, feta, avo, mushrooms, garlic, sweet chilli and tomato base. <br/><br/>All the meals were very tasty and filling, and the portions were very large considering the prices! Our waitress was super friendly and on the ball regarding specials and house favourites. <br/><br/>I don't visit Stellenbosch often, but I'm keen to go back to Aandklas on a weekend during the evening when I'm sure the vibe will be even better.

This is the best place to chill with friends, with delicious food friendly staff and live bands! This is definitely the best place for a Wednesday night!

Whether you go there for drinks with friends, lunch, to see a band or to compete in their Thursday quiz Aandklas offers something for everyone! The food is fantastic (try the shrooms, poppers and patato skins), drinks are reasonably priced and you can view the greatest local acts at low rates and still get a awesome show. Check it out!

I love Aandklas. Everything about it. The menu is funny as well as diverse. Amazing cocktails and music. And the FOOD is just amazing. I am a frequent flyer at Aandklas in Pretoria, but this one will see me every time I am in CT.

Honestly their pizzas are the best you can get, the amazing Sunday pizza special just makes it worth it. Best special from 9-10 En a Wednesday night. Always rocking the best selection of music.

Amazing pizza's, some real local stuff that melts in your mouth. Peppadew pizza's and biltong.<br/><br/>Drink specials and good old school music - AcDc, Black Sabbath make the place a must for all that love live bands.

Not only is this a great place to have drinks with friends, it also has a fantastic menu on offer and their food is delicious! It's not your usual 'burgers and pizza' menu either - their options are endless. They also have the most divine potato skins and your choice of sauce as well as yummy chilli poppers and tramezzinis! You also have to try at least one of their amazing cocktails - the frozen pina colada being my favourite!

There is nothing fancy about this place, being in a student town, but they always have great specials, delicious cocktails, especially the frozen pina colada!!! The food prices are great and the food is always tasty. If you don't mind a lot of students having fun then it's a good place to try.
