Review En Route - Stellenbosch

Their burgers are so good. I loved the chicken one I don't remember the name. Good place for a quick bite or actual food that you can eat while chatting with friends. Has an outdoor and indoor sitting area:) Also the staff is super nice.

This is a student favourite place for getting something quick. However I love their milkshakes and coffees. You can always take your friends there to have something to eat and buy a few necessary items.

Good options for food and drinks, obviously not the most established place to order and eat food, however they have many great student options and they are very cheap for what you get! Overall a great one stop shop to get food as a student and they have some nice outdoor seating areas to eat at as well πŸ₯˜

Amazing food at very affordable price. Everything else is a bit pricey but anything they make there is very good. Cashiers aren't the friendliest but it's been the same people working there for at least the last 4 years. A Student hub and great when you need a quick meal or need any essential quick.

Enroute the home of people who likes good food, everyone is welcome, with our friendly cashiers

Enroute is a staple of mine and many other university students. Highly recommended. However it's strange to me how it closes at 00:00 but the TV screens with the menu on gets turned off at 22:00, then no one can order food anymore. I think a sign to make that clear is necessary. Highly recommend any tramazini (ordered off of menu), nachos, Birdie burger, enchilada, the ready made creamed spinach & butternut veggies, wraps and the ICE CREAM😍 Love this place, I miss the fresh strawberry ice cream sunday though

Mostly a student hangout with a coffee shop a an emergency grocery shop. Basically like a fuel stop coffee shop

I have been a frequent user of this place since I used to live one block away. It is a grocery store/restaurant that profits off of its prime location in the middle of the student residences. It is open until quite late, so it is a go-to destination for students. It is expensive but you are paying for convenience.

Excellent service, good food, good prices. I love 😻
The Cubic Crafter
Great place to get a good cheap ready made meal, ideal for students. Prices of confectionery items can be a bit steep at times.

Great place to get food πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ great student shop. Fast service!

The food is always good, especially if you take into account that the dishes are made fresh on order and comes at a reasonable price. Depending on the time of year/week/day this place could either be over crowded or empty. Sometime they also close during the silent season. Because the food is made fresh there might be quite a wait.

Friendly staff great lunch wrapps and iced coffee in student part of town

It's perfect for students- they have the most delicious variety of ready-made food. If you want to order something fresh, be prepared to wait (they take forever). And like all convenience stores, daily items are more expensive. But if you want cheap and delicious ready made food, you cannot go wrong!
Coffee & Chill
The cafe is always packed with loads of students between or after class. It is the perfect place to grab something on the go for lunch, dinner or even a snack. Their chicken and avo wrap are very good.

3-in-1 convenience store, takeaway counter and ready-made meals, with wraps, burgers and salads. High-paced student vibe with a few tables where you wait for your food. Zero ambience or decor, but it's not designed for a sit-down meal.

Wait time for takeaways is quite long - upwards of 15 to 20 minutes. The to-go chicken wraps and baguettes are however a value-for-money hit, and the late business hours are the salvation of many a hungry student.

I can't believe in my 4 years at Stellenbosch I never knew of this place (tears everywhere). This is an absolute hidden gem: it looks so welcoming from the outside. I had a pulled pork half ciabatta (which is huge) and it was devastatingly delicious. This place is affordable and you just can't go wrong with their menu

Bad value for money , avo was hard and feta sour , did not even have chicken on ? Some of their dishes are good but not the one I bought! ...

I frequently come here late-ish for my wrap and Milo fix. I've not been disappointed yet. Also, their wraps are filled with cheesy goodness! What's not to love?

This little spot is a very short walk from my res and I have visited it many times this year. It is open till midnight everyday so whenever you need a late night study snack or coffee they are open. The ready made meals are all good and there is a big menu from which you can order. This store is convenient and the only thing I have to complain about is that if you decide to order food it takes very long so if you're in a rush get something ready made.
