Great day out for lunch! Good value as far as wine farms go, and great tasting food! The wine is also delicious. The shops are awesome; we bought some grass fed beef ribeye steaks and a few bottles of wine to take home.

We went to South Africa for our 25th anniversary and were lucky enough to stay at Boschendal for the night of our anniversary. We stayed in the Retreat Cottages and it was delightful, the view of the cannas and the mountains in the distance is absolutely stunning. The gardens are beautiful, and the breakfast area was fabulous. The team at reception very kindly gave us a bottle of wine on arrival and another bottle of MCC as it was our anniversary. The women on reception were just lovely! And we enjoyed them in front of the fire!

This place is simply incredible! Worth trying out the deli restaurant and their pic nic. Spend at least 2 nights in this beautiful place!

Wonderful! A dream winery with great wines. We did a wine tasting (white wine) here at the end of March 2023. The location in the courtyard under the trees and the wines were wonderful. We were served competently and provided with brief concise information about the wines. The entire grounds are beautifully landscaped with fountains, a vegetable garden and farm stores to browse. All in all, a great experience.

Absolutely loved it. Stayed in one of the beautiful cottages and loved the details for children. So enjoyable to have a fireplace and stunning views of the mountains. The farm tour was exceptional and the staff and food fantastic. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

The cottages are beautiful and good value for money. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We loved the little extras in our cottage and breakfast was absolutely delicious.

We had a lovely stay here. We really enjoyed the picnic, nightmarket and wine tasting. Food was all really delicious. We stayed in one of the cottages which was so idyllic. The estate was all so beautiful and made for a very relaxing stay.

Went to Friday Night Market. Veh chill and nice for relaxing. The market is focused on food and picnic approach with bean bags and cloths for rent to chill under the trees, drink some wine, eat some food from the stalls and listen to cool, live music. Great for all ages and a really restful ace to visit after a busy week.

Amazing place! We stayed at the newly renovated retreat cottages. The place is within beautiful nature and the staff went above and beyond for us to have a great time. We loved the biking trails, the farm tour, the night marked, the Picknick and the snacks at the farm shop. Additionally the owners seem to be interested in sustainable solutions for the environment and their employees. Big recommendation to go there!

This was a true gem. We attended the night market and everything was so festive. The wine tasting could have been better, but it did not detract from the whole experience. This a good place to visit if you have children.

Awesome family outing, the food at the deli was great. The tree house playground is so much fun and the children thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hour survival skills experience. Picked up some lovely food at the farm shop and butchery.

Amazing attention to detail and 1st class service from all the staff. Food was absolutely amazing for all meals and the amount of activities blew my mind. Want to say a great thanks to the staff at the Werf restaurant for making our breakfast experience wonderful. The accommodation at the orchards was also great. Also enjoyed the wine tasting.

Cottages: We had an amazing stay at Boschendal. We stayed for two nights in the Orchard cottage 1. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the bathrooms are big and bright. What we were amazed by are the high quality kitchen utilities. Almost everything is from Le Creuset. Furthermore, you have seriously everything you need. The terrace is big and the view to die for. Welcome: The warm welcome cannot be put into words! The service is on point! We got a cute welcome basket with strawberry marmelade, brie, fresh bread, wine, a personal note and delicious sweets. Restaurants: The service at the Deli and Werf restaurant was great at all times. Fast, kind, and attentive. We absolutely loved the green juice for breakfast, the cashew cake at Werf restaurant and the boschendal cuvée brut. Apart from that we did the chocolate wine tasting ! Lovely experience and all wines/bruts were excellent! Activities: It's definitely worth going up to the view site! So beautiful and stunning. We also went horse riding and had the best experience ever! We are beginners and thought we would be on a leash. However, we could ride by ourselves. So cool! We also joined a farm tour which was absolutely great! The farm to table concept is perfect! Literally everything is grown there: strawberries, garlic, spinach, figs and so much more. Experience: We truly had an amazing stay at Boschendal and will be forever grateful for these memories. The whole place, service, wine, and experience was outstanding. Thank you! Matti & Lorena

The Boschendal Mountain Villa is fit for a king and queen! It's a piece of heaven up on Simonsberg mountain away from everyone! The accommodation is lush and luxurious! The bathrooms are beautiful, everything about it simply takes your breath away! This villa is perfect for a group of friends, a big family or a work getaway! The butler service is outstanding, and the staff are exceptional, they prepare dinner, breakfast and keep you completely satisfied with all your needs! The state of the art music system keeps your favourite tunes playing in the background! I highly recommend this beautiful villa!

Did a rose garden picnic this past weekend. We had such a lovely day, cannot wait to be back. Great spot for a family day out, also great for a romantic date. Picnic food is fresh and tasty, quick, friendly service when getting your baskets, bean bags/hammocks and wine. Waiters bring everything to a spot you choose with a smile and go the extra mile for you if you need. They check in regularly for extra orders of wine or food. Really the ultimate picnic experience! Booking ahead and getting there early makes things smoother, basket collection is from 12 I think but you can arrive earlier and gardens close at 5pm. Having some extra picnic supplies came in handy, like a sharp knife to cut chicken & ciabatta bread. Depending on where you sit, toilets are a small walk, but clean and well stocked. Would definitely recommend!

This place was fantastic. The food, wine, and service were absolutely amazing. Definitely make a reservation for lunch ahead of time and get there early for a wine tasting. Ivan, in particular, made our visit better. He went out of his way to drive us across the vast farm and help coordinate the tastings, cellar tour, and lunch. The wine was amazing and we bought several bottles to take home. Then lunch was delicious and filling. Strongly recommend a visit to this wonderful farm.
