What a beautiful setting! We went with friends of ours and were not disappointed. You must make a booking to eat there. We first enjoyed wine tasting. From there, we went to our lunch reservation. We were greeted by a friendly server.
Each person must choose any two platters minimum when eating at the restaurant. The portion sizes are perfect. Three of us choose starter, main and dessert and one chose two Desserts.
I started with the lemon ravioli and Gorgonzola cheese. It was delightful. The cheese was not overpowering at all. It was perfectly balanced.
The pressed lamb shoulder was my second choice and the jus was flavor packed rich goodness. The lamb was so tender.
My dessert was just as good.
We shared our food so each one could taste.
We will come back again. Amazing place.

Stunning place! Food is Devine, wine is better!! Service is great! An absolute gem! We would rerun any day! Definitely in summer time, would love to enjoy wine and lunch on the veranda!

Not only did the restaurant have an amazing view over all the vineyards, but the service was excellent and staff incredibly friendly. The menu is designed for the customers to order share plates. The food was tasty and fresh and i will definitely go back there for the experience again.

What a pleasant surprise. Joined my friend and her 5 year old for lunch. By the time the kiddies fish and chips arrived,I was ready to forgo my meal because this meal was really good. Luckily the mains impressed me enough to leave the poor kid's meal alone. Great lunch spot.

What a lovely evening we had at the Long Table.
Our server was incredibly friendly, engaging, and attentive. It is always such a better experience overall when you have an outstanding server. Our servers name was Josh and he helps our evening be so enjoyable.

Another plus was the view. It was rolling vineyards with sun kissed mountains as a backdrop. Beautiful on so many levels.

On the food side, I had the fig and Parma ham salad starter which was stunning. It was not too big, nor too small. For a main I had the duck breast. Is was soft with well paired side vegetables. It was not the best duck I have ever had in my whole life, however it was flavorful and well cooked. My husband had the oxtail which was soft, well seasoned, and tasty. There were also some other dishes that sounded fabulous.
We skipped dessert but there looked to be some yummy choices there as well.

He ambiance was relaxed and have the feeling of a small intimate dinner spot.

I don't have an specific negative comments, but maybe the set up of how you enter the restaurant could be thought through better, or just someone to direct you. It is possible we entered the wrong space, but I don't think so. We were a little unsure of where exactly to go, but our server quickly sorted us out.

If you are looking for excellent service and yummy food, although there is a seriously long list around the area, put the Long Table on it as an easy flowing place, and see what you think for yourself.

What an amazing venue, very secluded. Perfect venue for those booming summer days, exceptional views. Top quality service and the food was amazing. I had the Tunisian adja it was pretty awesome.

Beautiful and simple outdoor patio with a panoramic view of the hills and vines. Tasting includes any 5 of their wines and none of them disappointed. Menu is rather expensive +R100 for mains but scones will do!

Do give this delightful restaurant with its fabulous setting, good service and excellent food a try.  We have been numerous times and not been disappointed.

Had the duck and the burger. The food was prepared well, except the vegetables, which were quite bland.
Crème brulee was on a good standard.

Lovely atmosphere and setting.roaring fire on a rainy day. Service was excellent. Dishes were beautifully presented and very tasty restaurant week menu was a hit.

Absolute perfection, & with the spectacular view it's one of my favorite restaurants. Small plates from 95 to 128 rand, & think two or three per person. Complimentary home-baked bread with herb hummus to start. Favorites were seafood bisque, roast lamb, deconstructed carrot cake (the first time I've had deconstructed anything that was better than the real thing). Amazing Weds-Thurs deal: complimentary glass of wine with any two plates.

Nestled in a valley facing the mountain drop, this place has spectacular view. One can sit indoors or outside but still experience the same sensational view of the vast vineyards or the sunset, while sipping on a chosen glass of wine , selected from the Premium or Lifestyle range. The food is superb, the staff always going an extra mile for clients to have a lifetime experience.

Good wine paired with beautiful views and good food. Loved the starter and dessert (lemon tart) , the version main was a bit disappointing (overcooked). Overall great experience.

A group of ladies and I celebrated my mom's bridal shower on 10 October 2021. It was our first time visiting and we all loved the place. A huge thank you to Bianca and the team at Longtable Restaurant who accommodated us and for the excellent hospitality. She went out of her way to bring us extra plates for our cake and created a space for it. The vineyard is so beautiful and the food was of top quality and so delicious. The wine was so divine. I'm definitely going back soon.

Visiting this Estate is always great , and enjoy their amazing wines and great hospitality. Keep up the great work !!

Mother's Day was such a treat! I even forgot to take pictures of the rest of my meals... Thank you for the friendly, speedy service! Be sure to try a bottle of their Haskell II.

……. We had bought a Hyperli Voucher for Gourmet-Food & Wine Pairing so the first thing to do was arrange an appointment to redeem it! Because they offer an email booking option we thought that we would give it a try but it proved a bit “nail-biting” as we didn’t receive a reply within the first week so we phoned a hooray someone did pick-up! So we learnt that they did have a problem of been short staffed and had just employed a new staff-member that very same day! Great! Now we had a secured reservation date! When you exit the main road and drive onto the estate which houses a few wine-farms you are already overcome with a good anxious adrenaline rush because of the sheer beaut-ii, the picturesque scene ahead of you overlooking the vine and the amazing mountainous views! It good to know that they have a security manned gate! The parking area is big and there are some nice trees to park your car under! The first impressions are always the lasting ones, the building housing the Wine-Tasting Room & the Longtable restaurant is very impressive, the front veranda is clean with a large wooden-bench and also the nice clean restrooms are situated here! The Reception area which houses a Bar together with some tables and along the one wall is an “L-shaped settee with tables to do wine-tasting at! They even have a Stove for Cold days! The Restaurant & the Wine-tasting facility is separated the Restaurant on the left! But the Best place to be seated is right out-side on the Patio which has big trees and large umbrellas for shade where the beaut-ii of the vineyards and the beautiful mountains in the distance is breath-taking-lii awesome! No wonder they have a picnic area which can be hire for any type of group function be it a wedding, party, etc, etc at the restaurant you can even arrange to have a picnic basket prepared beforehand! The picnic season is from November to March! Our voucher was for “Gourmet Food & Wine Pairing but sad-lii we were told that this is not going to happen as they have changed it to “Cheese-boards & 1 glass of Chardonnay” so what the heck we are here so we just accepted the change and bought a Haskell 4 wines tasting for R70.00 and a Dombeya 5 wines tasting for R50.00! The cheese-boards were scrumptious-lii sufficing with 4 slices of home-made white bread, 4 slices of rye-bread, 3 kinds of cheeses, marmalade, pickled cucumber & onion, cherry tomatoes and charcuterie fresh-lii prepared and delicious! You are unable to order foods from the restaurant to enjoy on the wine-tasting side you have to move over to indulge in the niceties there! So we just did that and had the most intriguing-lii insidious desserts! 1. Chocolate & Bacon= Dark chocolate Brownie with Bourbon ice cream and Bacon crumble! 2. Beetroot Crunchie=with white chocolate ice cream and caramelized sea-salt! There can be no truer words then as one of the Menu entries recorded “Good wine with Good food in Good Company is the most civilized pleasure one can enjoy!” Absolute-lii True! Our host was kind, pleasant and very knowledgeable with all the wine product from both ranges she served to us! The wines are produced from 60% of their own grapes plus 40% of grapes from Napier in the Franschhoek area! A Magical Romantic Real-Nature surrounding venue that has to be visited to experience Pure-Awesomeness!..........PS! They even have a Play Wooden Structure for the kids and Free WiFi!!!!...............

Beautiful place! Delicious food, nouvelle cuisine but small portions (in my humble opinion) Good and friendly service. I liked the wine. Unfortunately not so kids friendly, no kids menu! Small play area for kids hidden around a corner. Design and outside space is amazing.
