The burger was out of this world! I am a bit sceptical about the chips/fries. Quaint little place in heart of Stellenbosch. Will definitely br vising again. Bonus is the free ice cream token you get with every purchase

This is a great burger joint for a fresh, tasty burger and really great chips. Even the free soft serve is probably one of the best soft serves you can get! A bit on the pricy side, this is a place to go for a treat when you have a craving.

What a gem of a find! The older you get, the more you move away from quantity and towards quality. Well the De Vrije Burger covers both, and in heaps. The burgers were just the right size, super juicy and lots of flavour. Will definitely be making a trip to Stellenbosch for this treat.
Been wanting to go here for a while, and the burger and tjips was worth it. Don't expect fast food prices, so see this as a outing (R125 for the burger combo). You can also grab a beer which is a nice extra, but quite on the expensive side for a bottle (R40), even though its Barton Basson's own beer
A fresh new burger joint. In my mind one of the top 5 burgers in Stellenbosch. A fresh bun with a great beef Patti, meat, cheese and you have an amazingly tasting burger. I will be back. This is also a pet friendly restaurant.
