Review Terroir Restaurant - Stellenbosch

We went for a late lunch and Kleine Zalze was very accommodating. We had the swordfish with lemon and butter sauce and veggies which was great and tasted superb. And eventually we found some apple crumble for desert and again it was very well presented. A must visit

One of my favourite restaurants in SA, great food and wine, and views of the gardens. The menu is an array of hot and cold dishes that can be ordered as 3 different sizes so you can taste everything! Can't wait to go back.

Attended a special lunch hosted by legendary SA chef Peter Veldsman. Great venue with beautiful views.

The wine is delicious, service is good and food is worth every penny. Truly one of the better wine farms we visited. Upper class and sophisticated atmosphere.

This is an absolutely amazing restaurant. For comparison, I went to Daniel in NYC with my husband and we did the multi course dining option with wine pairings, Terroir was well above and beyond our culinary experience at Daniel. This place is not to be missed while in Stellenbosch.

I was happily surprised at how good the wine was at Kleine Zalze. This is probably the best value for wine I have experienced thus far. Great wine at really reasonable prices. You can choose from unique and scarce variaties. The only thing it lacks is the view of the beautiful mountains. But will definitely be back again.

What a lovely setting, and delicious food ! Set on a terrace above the grounds, one can enjoy the amazing food and listen to birds chirp and watch the butterflies flutter by, with a view of the Stellenbosch mountains ahead of you. Service is good. The crumbed monkish with scallops was delicious and so beautifully plated ! Well worth a stop, I've been to South Africa twice this year and stopped by both times. Highly recommended. Oh by the way, the online reservation bot makes people choose a table indoors, but actually all reservations are for both an indoor & outdoor table. If the weather is good (as is often the case), people can choose to sit outdoors (as most do!)

Fantastic service and food. We were delighted by a mini pork medallion amouse bouche and a small dessert even though we were otherwise stuffed. Plating and flavors to notch. Great down to earth chef as well. A Kleine Z. '13 Shiraz was the perfect accompaniment with our meals.
