Review Sweetwell Restaurant - Stellenbosch

Sweetwell is an amazing restaurant and venue! I had the baby shower of my dreams in their venue room. The owners and staff are friendly and accommodating. The food is as tasty as it looks, which is incredible! An absolute winner in the Stellenbosch Winelands.

Lovely little spot just outside of Stellenbosch. Cozy atmosphere with antique decor all around keeping it interesting and not overwhelming. Pork belly main was hearty and delicious. Friendly staff and speedy service. Highly recommended and the crystal shop next door offers a great stroll, we even had a visit from the local little pup named Foxy

Oh my gosh, what a treat and delight! Our waiter ( I wish I had noted his name) was marvellous, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. 5🌟 The setting is scenic and restful with car sounds fading into the background. My brother had the breakfast ( lunchtime 👍) which he raved about and I was transported with every mouthful of the most delicious cheesecake and cream I have ever tasted! The chairs are comfy and the crockery unusual and pretty. The price points are very reasonable for the portions and service received. We will definitely return!

So so beautiful, lovely service from kind staff. I highly recommend their ice tea cocktail and their flap jack board, it was absolutely amazing. Very cute little area, nice and quiet with a cute little store next to the restaurant. They also offer high tea!

The atmosphere is great, the setting and views phenomenal and the food was divine. They have a separate function room if you would like to have a private party. I'd definitely recommend a visit. The prices are very good.

Went for cake & cuppacino at this lovely restaurant. We sat outside with a spectacular view of the mountains. The baked lemon cheescake 🍰 was simply divine. Delicious cuppacino ☕ and amazing company = Heaven! My friend had the cinnamon carrot & rose cake & all of it was eaten so it must have been yummy! 😁 Heard the chef is excellent 👌 so will definitely visit again to have lunch. Our waiter was professional & friendly. Our order took a few minutes to arrive. Super service indeed! Wheelchair parking as well as wheelchair ramp to the restaurant. All-in-all a great experience! 👍

Always such a wonderful experience visiting Sweetwell restaurant. Staff is friendly with an all round wonderful atmosphere and tranquil view. The blue cheese pizza 🍕 is a personal favourite. Lots of high tea events - they look incredible and certainly a unique way to celebrate a special occasion. Love visiting this beautiful restaurant.

I had a wonderful experience. The food and atmosphere was amazing. Has more of a comfortable home feel. The only thing I would have liked is a fireplace.

Breakfast was very tasty and interesting. I do think it was overpriced though. R105 for a “chip stack” was a bit much I think. I did not enjoy that coffee at all. Definitely they need to make a plan about that. Not a lot of options for people who don’t eat meat unfortunately. Nice setting, very peaceful.

Such a lovely farm restaurant atmosphere! The food is delicious, and I highly recommend the bobotie, pork belly, or any of their cakes; although everything we've tried has been great. The manager and staff are friendly to everyone who walks through their doors, attentive, and always get our orders correct. Our favorite place for brekkie in the Somerset West area.

Definitely my top 5 breakfast spots in Cape Town. Prices are decent. Amazing view. I happened to see the event section set out for a baby shower and it looked absolutely amazing. Looking forward to hosting an event there in the future.

Little hidden gem. A must try. Their breakfast are to die for and not selfish at all with portion sizes.

Last week Saturday, we decided to take drive to the Polkadraai strawberry farm but when we got there, it was extremely full. We then decided to drive to Root 44 and when we got there, it was closed. Being disappointed twice, we then decided to drive to Strand but as we were driving, we spotted a restaurant on our right which seemed quiet and peaceful. We immediately made a u-turn and came to the entrance of the hidden gem. As we drove in, we were welcomed to a beautiful scenic restaurant spot called Sweetwell. We then ended up enjoying a delicious lunch with the venue all to ourselves with the exception of one or two guests. The waiter was excellent and the food was just amazing. This is definitely a spot to visit, if you want to relax and enjoy a delicious meal with family or friends. It also has a vintage feel to it, with the venue props and furniture inside as well as outside. We will definitely be back soon! Please be so kind to like this review, if you found it helpful. Bobotie was really nice! Very nice place and views. Very peaceful and a big range of items on the menu.

Pleasantly surprised, love the decor, food was good, great coffee, service a little slow but we were not in a rush, definitely will be back.
