We had our wedding here. Everything gets 5 stars. The staff, the food, the view, the venue, the cleanliness, the prices.

Very child friendly (our kids aged from 6 to 12 played all afternoon and loved it, and were happy with what they ordered from the kids menu). Our food was excellent, each dish cooked to perfection (especially the salmon, which we requested “seared” instead of medium), and very reasonably priced. The cheese and cold meats platter was great as a starter to share, and the flammkuchen a winner amongst young and old. Location is just lovely. Service was very friendly.

Friendly staff, good food, great atmosphere. The kids play area is great and so is the wine. Parents can enjoy a good few relaxing hours while the toddlers entertain themselves on the jungle gym. We frequent them whenever we visit the Cape Town area and we are never disappointed. You can't go wrong. Enjoy!

Insane meal! All 4 of us were absolutely blown away by the 3 course of meal. The menu listed here is out of date - maybe new chef - but couldn't recommend this place more. Very underrated and staff were amazing...

I have three main comments about this restaurant. First, service is friendly and helpful. Second, their bread basket is basically the best I've ever tasted. Third, they have a gorgeous and clean outdoor jungle gym play area, which is all you need in life if you have kids and want to enjoy your wine!

took 20 mins after being seated for a waiter to offer us a drink , the complimentary bread was outstanding. Throughout the meal service was not great , the steak was very tasty, the tortellini needed slot more flavour. the deserts were excellent , beautiful location
Exquisitely appetizing white Asparagus perfectly put together with Pear, Walnuts, Crisp Lettuce & Blue Cheese.

Venison Carpaccio to perfection. Beautifully presented. 👍🏽👌🏽

Beautiful venue and stunning food. This place is a gem and it serves some of the best food we have experienced in the winelands- highly recommended! We will definitely return.

They don't seem to know they opening and closing hours. Their website said one thing, Zomato said another and the manager said something else. Not worth the effort.

Winter is a magical time in the Cape winelands. Life out in the country seems to slow down to a gentler pace. Vines are hibernating; leafless trees stand like sentinels with majestic mountains as their backdrop, sometimes topped with a light dusting of snow. Roaring fireplaces and robust red wines take centre stage, along with hearty and delicious winter menus that set your soul on fire.

Honestly, some of the best food I have had in my life. Would recommend to anyone that is in the area. The staff were friendly and the food was out of this world delicious. Will definitely go back when I have the chance

Food was good, wine lovely, but arrived and ordered immediately, only to wait 90 min for our mains/ entrees to be served. Half the table were NOT occupied. For the price they charge (which I don't mind paying for good food and service) I would've expected better! Disappointed!

A Saturday outing ended at Dornier for lunch. Pork Belly. Well prepared, waiters professionally and friendly, the stoep and view on the unique cellars make the visit worth your while.

Stunning views with great food.

Went for lunch with our kids and they loved the jungle gym and lawn. The kids menu is very good and includes ice cream cones for dessert.

The food was very good, flavours were amazing. The service was impeccable.

I would recommend this spot for a long lazy lunch

Had a great Saturday lunch at Bodega. Enjoyed the Wine tasting, with the Sauvignon Blanc being my favorite for the day. Service was excellent, and surprisingly accommodating with our 2 busy-body kiddos.

Not only a beautiful view but amazing food too. Went to Bodega for a birthday lunch and it was definitely a treat. We were quite a big table so we ordered some food to share while perusing the menu. We started off with the roasted butternut flammkuchen and the tandoori chicken flammkuchen. Flammkuchen is essentially a flatbread and these were absolutely delicious. I enjoyed the butternut one a lot more but that was just my preference. We also had bread at our table which came with an onion marmalade which was amazing.

For starters, I opted for the seared salmon. It looked too beautiful to eat but was so tasty and the flavours worked perfectly together.

For mains I ordered the beef fillet. It came with a salad, truffle oil fries (which are probably some of the best fries I've tasted) and onion rings. You also have the option of a blue cheese or a mushroom sauce to go with the fillet. I chose the mushroom sauce and it was creamy and delicious. Other people at our table had the lamb shank and loved it, so much so that there were no leftovers.

The dessert looked too tempting to resist. Many people at our table wanted the New York baked cheesecake, but our waiter told us they no longer had any. A few minutes later he checked again for us and a fresh cheesecake had just set so we were lucky to get them. I had the brownie which was heavenly. It came with a salted caramel sauce, caramelised popcorn and caramel popcorn ice cream.

Overall it was such a lovely experience and our waiter was friendly and attentive, always there to top up our glasses. Definitely a treat of a day.

Went here for a "Family Feast" Christmas lunch and they weren't kidding about the feast! Haha. Food just kept coming and coming, at the end of it all we just about rolled out of there! EVERY SINGLE dish was superb! Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, something else came along that blew us away! The service was EXCELLENT, the staff were all exceptionally friendly and accomodating and the setting is picturesque! I just could not to smiling (and eating)! I would return here time and time again! Do yourself a favour and go eat here, make a trip of it! Even if its not for a Christmas lunch!

My husband and I went to Dornier Wine Estate's Bodega restaurant for our anniversary. We opted for the three course menu. The waiting staff were extremely friendly and helpful. While we waited we were served freshly baked homemade bread with a mind blowing delicious onion marmalade. I had the stuffed aubergine rolls for a starter, while my hubby had the creamy mussel pot. I enjoyed the aubergine rolls, however, they were a little too chilled. I found them to be very average. My hubby's mussel pot was out of this world. I usually do not order mussels for myself, but found myself stealing bites of mussels out of his plate. Next up was the main course. My Pinotage roasted lamb shank with rosemary, garlic mash and roasted vegetables did not disappoint. The serving was very big and I could not finish it, but this time it was my husband's turn to steal bites from my plate. He had the sirloin burger. The patty was juicy and spiced perfectly. We waited a while before we ordered dessert. The trio of crème brûlée was a great way to end the date. The sugar was slightly burnt, but otherwise the crème brûlée was no less than finger licking good. If you are less fond of creamy desserts, the selection of homemade sorbets is a great option. These little balls of fruitiness are full of flavour and I would definitely recommend them. I look forward to visiting Bodega again in the near future.

The tapas is a great way to end a day in the winelands. The food is fresh and tasty, and the portions are huge. R250 tapas for 2 including a bottle of wine covers the entire table - pretty good value. Desserts are pricey but worth the money, if you can bring yourself to eat any more.

Great food and ambience. Extraordinary wines and service. We had mussels, seared salmon and lamb shank, excellent! Blown away by Donatus white and red 2010

Great food, great wine and fantastic service. Emma, our waitress was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items as well as the wine. Will definitely be back when next in CT.

We had a birthday here, with about 30 people. Considering this, the food came out very quickly, and was absolutely delicious! The portions are huge, which should be considered when ordering all three courses (although it would be hard not to finish every meal since it it's all soooo yummy). I had the stuffed Aubergine rolls with goats chevin and basil pesto for starters- rich but very tasty. I then had the line fish of the day, Kingklip with grilled zucchini and Parmesan crips. Perfectly light and an incredible arrangement of flavours. I had a taste of the Springbok flammkuchen starter, and although quite rich, this was possibly my favourite. For dessert we had the chocolate brownie with salted caramel sauce and caramelized popcorn, as well as a trio of creme brûlée, none of which could be faulted. Dornier has such a beautiful view and the food is homey, yet of the highest standard.

We had a very enjoyable afternoon lunch at this beautiful restaurant at the base of the Coetzenburg mountains with spectacular views. The food was excellent, quite rich but very tasty, hosting a range of meals and flavors. I had a slow roasted Springbok Flamkucchen which was too rich and too filling for a starter but very good, unbelievably tasty Pinotage lamb shank for mains and a delightful trio of creme brûlée too finish it off. The vibe was really good but the service was slow, otherwise it was a very enjoyable afternoon here. Trinka Mynhardt

Dornier is nestled between the spectacular Stellenbosch mountains, so the view is nothing short of amazing. I wish I could say the same about the food. We did a three course Sunday lunch, and not one of the dishes really stood out. The food isn't bad, but it doesn't leave an impression. I sincerely hope that this was just an off day as I've heard so many good things in the past :/

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I attended a wedding at Dornier and the setting is just absolutely beautiful. Dornier Bodega Restaurant catered the meal, and it was definitely the best food I've ever had at a wedding, and would happily go back for a boozy afternoon lunch. Service was excellent, and the bar area inside the restaurant was perfect for the after-party! :)

Fantastic food in a really beautiful setting. Really enjoyed my visit. Percy gave us excellent service. I highly recommend a visit to Bodega. It made my weekend.

Amazing service, amazing views, amazing wine. What more could a girl ask for? 5* cuisine at an exceptionally affordable price. My recommendation: get the crime brûlée trio for dessert.

Delicious, fresh food that is carefully planned and prepared. Served in a beautiful environment by friendly, attentive staff.

The pacing of the delivery of the food could have been better as it seemed to arrive a bit too quickly at first though this could be because we were such a large group (about 16).

Food highlight was the Duck Spring rolls with chilli tomato jam (the last one may have caused a fight at the table).

Definitely will be back!
