The best spot to get a perfectly brewed cup of coffee and one of their delicious cakes/pastries. The service is always friendly and the staff are always willing to go out of their way to help. The owners are lovely people and they really have created a wonderful family run business. My favorite coffee shop in Stellenbosch!

This place is so amazing! We desperately had to host a drive-by bridal shower and they went above and beyond for us to be able to do so! We had a small area of the restaurant to ourselves that they allowed us to decorate. They also made us the most gorgeous and decadent muffins I have ever seen for a very good price, and wow were they incredibly delicious!!! The staff went the extra mile for us and we are so thankful to them! Great service, awesome coffee and fantastic food!
Lovely cafe with really creative cakes. Have been a couple of time now and always had a good atmosphere as they don’t try to squeeze in more customers than they can actually fit!
Also get great service from the friendly staff.
My new favourite place!
We visited this cute, quaint spot today. The waiters are friendly and we felt welcome immediately. Both of us ordered the hummus with seed loaf toast which was delicious and surprisingly inexpensive. Their almond milk cappuccinos are also on point.
Every time I go to The Blue Crane & The Butterfly I can never choose which cake to get because they always look so delicious and each one is so unique. Because of this, I organized one of there cake tasting and was definitely not disappointed- still couldn’t decide which one I liked best..
Always the best coffee, yummy (and unconventional) cakes and super friendly staff - been a favourite for years and will continue to be.
Pro tip: have your waiter read you the cakes for the day, and don't forget the Tuesday student discount.
Stopped here for brekkie on a Saturday mid morning and it was so bustling, yet the service wasn’t impacted, it was efficient and friendly.
The coffee was good, they roast their own beans. The food was delicious too, although a few things were actually sold out, we were more than happy with the choices. The mushrooms and egg on toast were delicious!

The service was excellent. Smiling and very friendly people reside on this part of Cape Town. Our food took a little longer than normal but it was rush time. I loooved that the food was served scourching hot and so were our coffees. The chorizo and pork sausage with relish a little too sweet for my trusty other half but he couldn’t finish it because it was so filling and so much food. Very cool spot. One of the best coffees iv had in Cape Town. (Sorry truth coffee)
This place has the most interesting and tasty cake selection! I had a pistacho, blueberry and who knows what else cake which tasted delicious. There was a chocolate and guiness cake that was also a winner. Very good coffee, friendly waiters and a relaxed atmosphere inside.
We sat outside because it was a warm day and it felt really hot inside the cafe. However outside was rather noisy with the white noise of the machines . However the service was very quick and the quality of the meal was really good for the price
Fresh, tasty and top quality food. Have to get there early for breakfast as it is a popular spot. The cakes baked look delectable. Coffee is a winner too.
