Jaw-dropping sunset views right in St. Helena. So glad I found this restaurant. It had a really nice twist to classic seafood dishes and steaks.
A nice restaurant that also allows dogs is quite rare so we’re very happy that it was pet friendly.
We wish it was a bit busier so it had more ambiance.

Beautiful setting if you want to relax. The food is really good and I haven't had a dish that I didn't enjoy. The Hake&Chips is worth a try! The Peri-Peri Chicken, Sardines and the Alegria salad are all favourites. If you want to spoil yourself, try the Seafood Espatade
Alegria is in a lovely setting in Stompneusbaai - about 18km away from Shelleypoint resort. The chicken livers are one of the best. I also enjoyed my hake and chips. Coke in a bottle - it couldn't get any better. Good service.
We enjoy the atmosphere at Alegria as you are so near the sea with a stunning view. Food are very good and also something different on the menu. Staff very friendly and good service. Wow! Top-shelf. We popped in on the way to our guest house accommodation just to have a look-see, and ended up having dinner. Absolutely perfect setting. On the beach. Beautiful decor. The views are amazing. We arrived early for dinner and had the place to ourselves. The service was great and the food was delicious, maybe a little pricey compared to the offerings in the area, but i think worth it when considering the location. Will definitely visit again.

Warraplace! A nice quaint restaurant with a view to kill for, the service is great, be sure to book in peak season as they become quite full. The food is authentic Portuguese and takes you back to the olden days when food was still food.
