What a gem! Nature at its best! Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. A place where you can relax, reflect and enjoy being swallowed up by nature. Try it and share in the enjoyment.
We stopped here for a walk around the gardens on our drive along the garden route N2. It's worth the stop with great views across to the mountains and the actual gardens are well laid out. A cafe is also there serving a full lunch etc menu.

Beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. Loved how the gardens were looked after. The smell of fresh grass was just the best smell.
Beautiful gardens nestled near the foot of the Oteniqua mountains. The Gardens are well geared towards education. Loved the Mushroom Meander and cant wait to go explore the Medicinal Mound on our next trip.
Great location to just go for a walk and forget about life. Beautiful tranquil walks.
Magical...the beauty of nature fills your senses and makes you rethink the purpose of being alive. Truly magnificent
Spent the morning walking about the paths inbetween the trees and stream. Grounds are well kept and peaceful
Lovely views and level cemented footpath, wheelchair friendly. Beats the street for your daily walk Founded 1998
Great atmosphere and a well kept garden. We had issues at the entrance though. As holiday goers we entered the gardens with no issues one day. The next day, the guard asks us all for R10 cash entry fee. But the gardens are great for an afternoon walk.
Perfect place for an afternoon stroll - even in the drizzling rain. The gardens are a decent size with two beautiful ponds, a forest and the backdrop of mountains. Really relaxing and lovely to be in nature.
The park run is well organized and the gardens themselves are beautiful my favorite aspect had to be the weaver bird nests over the little lake. The trails have a nice balance between sun and shade. Well maintained.
Very peaceful. People respect others privacy. Spotted a baby turtle and enjoyed the lookout point where you can sit and watch bird and marine life. A great place to go when you need to escape the busyness of life and just unwind a bit.
