Review Kauai Virgin Active Waterstone - Somerset West

I have eaten at this Kauai several times before but decided to try their new dish which is Chicken Teriyaki with pineapple, brown rice, carrots, cucumber, avo, pineapple, red cabbage and some type of dry cereal over the chicken. To be honest, all the ingredients eaten separately is tasty but this is not a cohesive dish. The flavours does not blend nicely together. So definitely a miss for me. Overall Kauai is till one of my favourites and that’s why i only marked them down by one star.

Kauai Somerset West always use fresh produce to make their food. Their smoothies are to die for and the rest of the food is delicious. They take clean eating to the next level. The Kauai Someset West had a revamp and looks modern and inviting. Definitely a place to visit.

I’ve always loved Kauai. Tried the Moroccan wrap from this branch and it was really delicious. Their smoothie tastes varies a bit but overall always happy to order and the staff is super friendly!

Great healthy take away meals. You can have drinks like smoothies,healthy salads and other nutritious meals. Prices are reasonable so it is affordable as good for you xx

The food was perfect,the only thing I didn't like was the manner it was served,,,plate was thrown kn the table ,no words uttered, I had to get up and grab salt n pepper from another table ,cappuccino served after main meal,I was expecting a beverage while waiting for food.

Fast, efficient service on a Saturday as well as very friendly waiters and manager! Food was good (Sunrise and Kahuna Wraps) and the chocolate bliss was the best I've had from all branches. Well done with this store!

I had my usual Vitamin See smoothie which is always a winner no matter which Kauai I go to. Its like none of them can get it wrong.<br/><br/>For the wife I ordered a matcha mint smoothie. I had some of it and whilst the taste isn't bad it has this weird powdery texture. Not sure if it's supposed to be like that but will never order it again.

So Kauai in Somerset Mall had a revamp. It looks good. Over the span of 2 years they have changed. I used to buy a lot from them as they are around the cnr frm me and I love healthy breakfasts and fresh food (no greasy bfasts). The wraps are indeed fresh but I feel I dont get my money's worth anymore. R60 for a Harvest wrap..(low carb wrap)and my problem was that 1. A LOT of greens made up the majority of the wrap 2. I had to search for the feta and a small little slice of avo 3. The "egg mayo" sauce was a little thin whitish water. That wrap was worth R30 not R60 and I can do better at home. I will try another branch or Mugg and Bean maybe they are more generous with their ingredients.

Sjoe decided to get a smoothie before a movie and boy was it not the usual service! The guy who was taking our order was quite disinterested and not keen on helping us!!! None the less got the smoothie, it was a bit watered down and not the usual service....

Service and attitude from staff leaves much to be desired! Unable to use wi-code yesterday, as they were offline. Same excuse this morning, another client requested that they try - turns out the system was in fact online again. Had to call staff from the back, to add to order. Disappointed!

Kauai has really great healthy smoothies. Love having them after a great workout. Service is of top qaulity however very dissapointed with new menu as they have taken alot of my favourite smoothies off the menu plus the price has nearly doubled.

Kauai is a great place to go if you're looking for a healthy bite to eat! They have yummy wraps and smoothies and I'd definitely recommend the princess wrap.
