Review Snob's Coffee Roastery - Somerset West

Darryll Thomas
Great menu, with an amazing selection of components for most items on the menu (eg: meat options such as wors, bacon, ham, pork sausage, etc). Most meals coming out of the kitchen looked good, however, I had scrambled egg which I wouldn't recommend as it was dry & rather tasteless. Lovely, quiet & cosy atmosphere. Something I did appreciate, which not many restaurants do nowadays, was to show the VAT amount on the bill. So if you are adding 15% tip on your bill, this calculation is done for you. Also, your service tip is then based only on the food amount .... whereas if you calculate the tip on the total, are also tipping on the VAT. Just a small point.

What a stunning coffee shop tucked away at this very busy Somerset west shopping โ˜•๐ŸŒž centre! Spacious, lovely and cool after the terrible heat outside. ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿฅต Our waitress was nice and friendly and helpful ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

Very friendly staff, good food and nice atmosphere. Ample parking on the premises. Had a birthday lunch for 23 adults, big menu to choose from. Food arrived very quickly. Would use them again.

Parents can bring their children to play while enjoying a delicious, affordable meal inside or outside of The Farmhouse. There is a swingset and one person can look after their children while the other can enjoy their date with the children. There is a variety of farmhouse items like jams, classic sweets and kitchen utensils. Frozen soups and meals can be purchased at a very affordable price and they are definitely worth it

A family run coffee shop. Warm, homely atmosphere offering meals, and a deli and takeaways. A lovely spot to pop into x

Great coffee and delicious freshly made "coffee shop" meals at very reasonable prices. I had the curry mince vetkoek and they were great!

I love this place!! They have single tables with a view. Your back facing the restaurant so you don't have to make eye contact with a restaurant full of people!

Warm atmosphere and friendly staff makes up for the average meals. Also a bit on the expensive side but they have free wifi so there is that. I would say a nice place to stop for a coffee and doing some work.

Great restaurant with wifi and various items for sale for the kitchen

I enjoyed the breakfast and service was good. The waitress was pleasant. However the difference between the sunrise and early bird breakfast is one egg extra for which you are charged R10. I would suggest maybe add a slice or two of bacon to make the early bird value for money.

Great atmosphere. Very friendly staff. A great place to enjoy a cuppacino. Lemon meringue is great. If you haven't been there yet you are missing out.

My favourite Sunday morning hideaway. The best coffees from around the globe prepared expertly in your favourite fashion. All of that and this too: they harnass solar energy to get it all done. Thumbs up!

Coffee was lukewarm, weak and overpriced; service wasn't very friendly.

Needed cheesecake post haste and Snobs did not disappoint me. The plush interior was just what I needed to recharge my batteries. Don't support the franchises in the malls, come to the intimate coffee shop with the personal touch. Coffee roastery ensures you go home with a fresh supply of ground coffee every time. Various cakes to choose from which is admirable. Truely the most comfortable easychair seats to enjoy your coffee in, a step up from the table and chairs set-up in malls.... a unique experience. Worth a visit. Close to the Postnet outside Somerset Mall. Try Snobs Coffee next time!

Snobs is closed on Saturdays and only open from 10-13:30 on Sundays which is quite unusual. The coffee menu was very informative and the coffee was good. We ordered a choccochino which was served in a very novel way.

Pleasant experience...celebrated my friend's birthday there with coffee, a light meal and cake. The pancakes are to die for. Will definitely revist for coffee and pancakes. Love the atmosphere and the staff are super friendly.

The coffee is great, but the food is really boring. I would go back for coffee yes, but if you want breakfast then this is not really the place to go.

I think the average 3 rating is a misrepresentation. Not located very well... The decor is bleh.

The coffee is of the best in the world... Easily. It's a coffee experience like no other in the country.

If you're into coffee, you have to go there. Stuff the 3 rating.

It's roasted in house using sun panels.

Absolutely a must for anyone cruising through the area. Awesome atmosphere and decor. Very comfy indeed. Coffee is brilliantly tasty & I'd go back every chance I get!

A quaint coffee shop with a classic ambience. Their menus are expansive and provide an extensive background of the coffee bean origins and blends. The baristas will effortlessly persuade you to have more than one cup. Passionate about their beans and more-so their service, this is one cafe I will definitely revisit. I ordered a cheese and salami muffin with a cafe mocha - which was an absolute divine breakfast treat! Bought two blends to take home: Guatamala Antigua and India - which I cannot wait to try out.

Very nice atmosphere. Inviting decor. Nice to see all the different beans and the roasting of coffee. The coffee was excellent. If in the area be sure to pop in.
