Very fortunate to have a Schoon so close to home. The food and coffee is stunning, the staff is friendly. I always come here to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Love this place and highly recommend!

Schoon is always a treat. Great coffee, tasty pastries, a variety of breads, and AMAZING breakfast (the croque madame will blow your mind). The service tends to be on the slow side due to number of patrons, but the atmosphere is so nice you will only be peeved if you're in a rush.

We popped in this morning to grab some croissants for take away, and ended up walking out with way more! Their croissants are light, fresh and fluffy. They have a wide selection of croissants ranging from pain au chocolat to almond croissants(which has almond filling in the centre). Their vanilla cherry donut is to die for! Another notable mention is the peppermint crisp donut and the sour dough bread. Will definitely be back!

It was a pleasant experience. We only had coffee but it was served by a friendly waitress. We sat outside and it was nice to see the world go by. I believe they also bake wonderful bread. Tasted their Sourdough Bread this morning. Bought it at Butcher and Son.

Delicious coffee, delicious breakfast and you have redeemed yourself, the carrot cake was amazing, so moist! Schoon is an absolute must for early morning breakfast and coffee.

Very small and cosy restaurant, bakery and coffee shop serving an appetizing selection of breakfast and light meal options as well as a waist wrecking array of baked sweet treats. The real gem here is the bread. Schoon bakes a variety of breads that are amongst the very best in the greater Somerset West/Stellenbosch area. Some breads are only available on particular days of the week. Drop in, have coffee and buy bread! Note that they do not accept cash.

A quick stop for a coffee but really uncomfortably small tables, slow service and high prices. At least the coffee is good.

Love their bread and buy it every week. There is nothing like slowly prepared sourdough bread without the yeast and chemical additives... it is crusty, delicious and above all so much healthier and tastier

Very nice place! Their breakfast and coffee is amazing. Their bread that they bake is divine. Just be prepared, the place is very small and packed. If you have claustrophobia then this place is not for you. They don't sell cold drink or beers but they do sell water, coffee, freshly pressed orange juice etc. Would recommend.

A pleasant experience. Coffee I enjoyed. Asked for just a glass of tap water. Came at room temperature. Most establishments would offer ice and lemon. Staff friendly and efficient.

Beautiful interior setup, loved the coffee cups. Outside sitting is great for the fresh air breeze while sipping that flatwhite. The bakery tops my list for now in the helderberg area. Please pay a visit and prove me wrong. #supportlocal #tipthewaiter
