Review Seaforth Restaurant - Simon's Town

Recommended by a friend. Decided to tie this in with our visit to the penguins at boulders bay. What a great spot overlooking a beatific beach and views beyond (which we explored after lunch). Sat outside, ordered the hake with the garlic and feta crust. A nice surprise it came with numerous king prawns in a creamy sauce. Very generous portion. Recommend skipping the starter. Really helpful and attentive staff. All in all, a lovely relaxed lunch. Loved it.

This place has been an absolute favorite for many years. The food & service is impressive & they really mean business. The manager Gerrie is a gentleman & Adiel assisted us in every possible manner. Fish cakes and beer battered fish & chips are a must order & can never go wrong. Kudos and keep up the good work & maintain the quality. 👍🏽

We were there with our smartours group for dinner. We had an excellent fish of the day. Service is great! Do not forget to order Malva pudding . Place is within walking distance for penguin sanctuary.

Visited the Seaforth Restaurant after enjoying the boat trip to Seal Island and what a treat the prices is quite reasonable and the food is lovely and the atmosphere is so nice as everyone goes with their family or friends. Highly recommend their Fish and Chips and Prawns =) Will definitely visit them again #highlyrecommeded!

Lovely restaurant with a great view of the beach with indoor and outdoor seating. Also if you look you will see penguins on the beach. The service was great. They were nice and friendly. The food also came out quite quickly which was good. The platter for two was delicious, the beer batter hake was delicious and I would highly recommend. The salmon/ seafood pasta wasn’t a huge hit but not terrible. The malva pudding was delicious I would highly recommend. But the chocolate mousse terrine was terrible. It almost felt frozen was ridiculously hard to eat. It tasted okay but was so hard or frozen. I’m not sure if that is how it’s suppose to be served. I do often come here with my family and do recommend it

I was expecting mediocre food from a place that could easily get away with trading on its location. But everything was very tasty. Menu caters to families and offers straight forward, uncomplicated items you'd expect. But it's not boring. The food is prepared with care and just a little flare. We were a party of 7 adults and 2 kids. The restaurant was almost full but our food came quick and service was attentive and friendly. My burger was plain and simple but very tasty and the chips perfect. My nephew's chicken nuggets and chips were completely demolished. His mom remarked that they were the best she's sampled. Moms have to nibble lots of chicken nuggets apparently. Vegetarian options and even a gluten free wrap. Very impressive.

Food was good, but not amazing. Patio has a nice view of the beach. Wait staff was nice and one of the only restaurants that was willing to help split a check for a large group. For some reason there was a sign on the wall that stated location was fully booked, but when we asked for a table there was no wait.

An excellent venue with good ambience. Service is first rate as is the food. Fish and seafood are delicious and the dessert is to die for. It was a bit chilly but i loved the fireplace.

The food are amazing, seafood were so fresh and delicious. It's very worthy and affordable. The view is amazing and very relaxing, more over the waitresses are so friendly. It's very recommended )

Great spot with amazing views. Some of the dishes had extremely generous portions. I had the Tiger Prawn Curry and personally felt that although it was an enjoyable dish, it was quite overpriced.

This was one of my favourite beaches as a child, before this restaurant even existed. I also remember coming here over twenty years ago, to cocktail happy hours on the pier-end. It’s changed a bit now, and seems more geared towards the tour-bus clientele. It does have a very slight dining-hall feel and the industrial catering tables, rattan chairs and plastic table covers don’t really do the location justice. Service is very efficient, friendly and professional. The menu is your standard broad-ranging fare, and priced reasonably. Curiously, the ‘African Pots’ offerings are three Malaysian inspired dishes and nothing to do with Africa at all. The quality of the food is average, and the portions massive. It’s not my kind of dining, but it clearly works for the literally hundreds of tourists who trouped in and out during my meal. Hats off to the owners. They’ve picked a formula and do it well. Despite the pressure of huge tables of chattering masses, I wasn’t made to feel neglected as a single diner. Not an easy balance to achieve.

I love where the restaurant is located. From there you get a wonderful view of the ocean plus can spot one or two penguins if you are lucky. The service was great. Honestly would have given this place 5 stars however there was something I particularly didn't enjoy about the actual taste of the food. There was just something missing.

Amazing place to go if you have visited boulders beach. Popped in for some lunch, I had chilli fish cakes and my partner a chicken wrap, simply delicious, generous food portions & great service. Really well priced!

Good restaurant near the beach with penguins. Delicious, huge portions, reasonable prices. But they do not cook very quickly and close early: on Sunday, for example, already at 15:30.

The creamy garlic mussels were the best thing there. Probably some of the best mussels I’ve ever had. The pasta was also pretty great.
