Little local place full of character. Friendly and fast service. Good sandwiches. Nothing fancy but good honestly served.

This is a cafe with the local Simon's Town charm. In the heart of the town, it is a bustling hive of activity from the tourists and locals alike. The food is phenominal (especially the baked goods). The views are some of Cape Town's best. It's just a stones throw away from the famous Boulder's Beach, so would make a good stop before or after seeing the penguins. Make this one of your stops if you ever find yourself enjoying a day out in Simon's Town.

This little restaurant on the way down to Boulders Beach was absolutely superb. We loved everything we ordered from them and the salted caramel milkshake was totally delicious!!! So glad we popped in there for some scones and coffee after visiting the penguins. Absolutely recommend this cafe!

I've been here before, but just had a coffee, which was excellent. Yesterday I finally ate there. They have a board of specials, as well as their standard menu. I decided to try their mac 'n cheese burger, my nephew had a bacon, egg and cheese toastie, sister had the prego steak roll and my niece had the calamari. Everyone commented on how good the fries were. My burger was delicious. One of the better burgers I've had in a long time! The rest of my family all said how much they enjoyed their meals. My sister and I both deciding we needed a shower after our juicy meals which we couldn't quite decide whether it would be better to tackle them with hands or knife and fork.... The food is reasonably priced. The service was very friendly, the only issue is it was incredibly slow, with us always trying to find a waitron and get their attention to order or get the bill. I don't know if they were understaffed that day or if that is the norm. Even with the sluggish service I'd go back because I enjoyed my meal that much.

Super Cosy, the restaurant is great for quiet and romantic dates either inside or popping past for a cool drink watching the hustle and bustle of Simons town. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the restaurant offers specials cards for the locals. The charming furniture - that consists of found goods, adds to the experience and I couldn’t help admiring each piece. Great bakery goods and sarmies as well as interesting imported cold beverages! My only criticism is the low lighting inside - but overall it does add to the mood.

Asked if Hollandaise was freshly made, assured it was. It was that rubbish out a jar heated up with not a hint of vinegar. Requested additional mushrooms and one fried tomatoe. X2. X2 cappuccinos. R318.00. Ridiculous. Was smiled at as I said as much. Really quiet angry about this one.
This is a wonderfully eccentric little cafe in Simon's Town, perfect for a Saturday morning coffee and get-together with friends. They have a huge variety of coffees to choose from, including iced americano, aeropress, cortado, Vietnamese, and our favourite, moer koffie.

They have some pretty epic-looking breakfast and lunch options on huge blackboards, but I unfortunately didn't try anything... However, their white chocolate and cranberry biscuits are really delish, and you can enjoy a book or two while you indulge.

Just a really fun place to hang out!

Popped in for lunch at Monocle and Mermaid, and very nice it was. I had the vegetarian burger and a craft beer. The burger was very good. The patty made fresh, greens were good and I enjoyed the pineapple base. Lovely.

Pretty impressive range of vegetarian and vegan dishes, breakfast and lunch.

Ambience was great. Cool tunes playing, staff make you feel welcome. I'd highly recommend stopping here for lunch and a beer. Nice one.

Best coffee and really cozy atmosphere with friendly staff, the menu is well constructed with ample to choose from, and very well made by the chef. Another bonus is that it's hearty and very well priced too. Burgers and sandwiches personal favourites. Great spot

There is no better place to sip a perfectly brewed cappuccino on the main road through Simons Town than this little place... This secret gem, know best by the locals is a great place to sit and watch the hustle and bustle of this naval town. The seasonal menu on offer is great and well priced and a definite must see on your way through to Cape Point!

Cool little restaurant along the St Georges street. The decor has a bit vintage and modern mixed together. We had the coffee and the pecan Caramel shortbread. The shortbread was amazing. The coffee was strong but really good and delicious(famous origin coffee). We waited a while for our order but well worth the wait.

A small lovely place in Simon's Town with amazing coffee. Such an awesome atmosphere with a rustic theme shop, truly visually stimulating, gets your senses working, from sight, smell then to taste.

What a gem in Simons town main road! Free wifi
The sandwich I had was to die for... Seriously best sandwich I've had in my entire life! Iced coffee for days. The decor was very vintage / book worm. I would go back in a flash

Gorgeous little deli restaurant, the only place I have found that serves real tea! The owners are coffee and tea snobs so naturally they serve only the best of both. The food is super delicious too, the head chef excels in sauces and dips and the concept of vegetarian meets venison works very well! Well worth a visit.

Stopped by last Sunday. I took the Build Your Own Breakfast option and my partner tried their Eggs Benedict. Both were delicious, particularly my balsamic cherry tomatoes. My partner loved the Benedict which had a slight hint of curry in it (I think) which worked. Personally, I think the Benedict is a little overpriced at R78, especially for the size of the portion - but still delicious and the decor is stunning. Grab a spot by the atlas wallpaper.
