Review Mcdonald's - Sea Point

On a chilly Cape Town morning, the aroma of McCafe is alluring. Everything was perfect. We were the only customers in store as it was early. It's the first McDonald's where the food collection is an elevator ride up one floor. Only McCafe is downstairs. Street parking may be a problem later in the day.

Great food here , the best MAC IN SEA POINT .Drive through has been secured properly , therefore you don't need to worry about safety etc during this festive although you have to keep ya eyes open . The staff are very great indeed .They're so friendly to their fellow , Bike Drivers etc and that shows unity and love as workers even if you're from different sources hence all you're doing is the best for our economy. I fully Recommend you all to visit this MCD .......

Friendly staff, quick order process, and extremely clean restaurant... exactly what you need when you didn't have lunch yet.

Touch screen ordering. Had to sit upstairs and I have a walking stick and damaged back. Chicken tenders were very dry. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Excellent Food with the usual excellent price point, There are 2 floors, but elevators are present for those unable to climb the staircase. The McCafe is downstairs and the tellers to order and pay for food is upstairs where you can order your food for a more personal touch. They do have the touch screen terminals to purchase food that will be brought to your table (provided that you pay at the terminal and enter the table number), these terminals are available both upstairs and downstairs, so should you not wish to place your order at the till, then you can complete it at the self service and wait for a waiter/waitress to bring your food to you. They have free WiFi, as all McDonalds do, with the obvious opt in to provide information or accept terms and conditions of service, before gaining access, this is pretty common place now with any free wifi facility provided by restaurants. The toilets are upstairs in the far left corner. They had a kids play place however I am not certain if the play place is open as I cannot remember from the time that I went there. it may seem small, but they are quite busy and do facilitate plenty seats both downstairs and upstairs, should you be going there with extra people. Food was prepared quickly and no errors were made with my order so I am very happy the service I had received. Also just to serve as information, I mentioned that the McCafe is downstairs, McCafe is effectively the coffee/doughnut shop portion of McDonalds and is also very good. If you are in the area, then definitely give them a visit, nice place to pass the time.

Unfortunately this is the closest McDonald’s to me, so I am forced to come here but I end up being disappointed on every occasion. The food is super slow for something that’s supposed to be fast food, the average waiting time is usually 25 -30 minutes when they aren’t busy and I’ve waited for over an hour on 2 occasions where they were moderately busy. I presume it is so slow because they seem to be understaffed. The food is usually cold as well and not on the usual McDonald’s standard you’d expect, it usually tastes a bit stale and old. In my experience by far the worst branch I have ever visited, if you have any other option I recommend you don’t come here.

McDonald's Sea Point always disappoints, food is always very bad chips and roll is always stale. The chicken is always cold. Not criticizing but really they need to have a look into this.

I'm not sure if it's the area or not, but this is the best Mcdeez I've been to in Cape Town. You don't see the kitchen so you don't have to deal with the noise or smell. There's a manager greeting you as you enter and directing you to a line and then table... It's smooth sailing at this outlet.

I tried to make a dinner reservation for 6 people, but McDonalds refused to take my reservation. I went early to secure a table for the group. Once everyone arrive we waited 45 minutes for someone to come take our order. Highly frustrated about being ignored, we stormed out the restaurant and went to Chicken Shop across the road.

I just used their drive through, the service was soooo bad, rather say nonexistence. There was only one person taking order + getting money + preparing package.

We were in front of speaker for more than 15 min, no answer whatsover. I needed to physically went to the person twice until she eventually took some order.

I asked the reason why she was not getting orders of people that are in the queue, and she was apparently handling order of bunch of teenagers that came after all of us in the queue, and these youngsters just went to her straight and skipped all the queuing process.

People in the cars were eventually shouting at us “why we not moving” cause we were in front of queue and I explained to people that there is only one person dealing with order.

Although I feel so sorry for this poor lady working alone, but prioritizing customers that were not even in the queue is just utter nonsense.

They should open counter for walk in people separately so people don’t cut the queue like that.

That was really disgusting experience and I will never go use their drive through ever again.

Just useless!

Decent outlet. Pretty big on the inside but we had a takeaway. The Cajun Burger Special is still continuing and still loving it for those budget days. Side note: extra pickles are free on cheeseburgers for those pickle lovers.

Stopped by to avoid sitting in traffic and to quell a groaning stomach. The experience was a pleasant one - the burgers met the standards we’ve all come to know. There is ample parking at this branch, although it’s capped at 40 minutes. It became slightly more sketchy as the sun went down. Not bad for a pit-stop!
I am very disgusted in how your team handled our order. Firstly there was a little queue but we didn't think anything of it. It took one hour for our order to be handed to us (which we didn't even receive the whole order) After 20 minutes of not moving much through the queue, I went to find out why we hadn't received our food, the server told us there was only four people working. She didn't tell us there was a delay when we were ordering the food so we couldn't get out of the queue (which we probably would have) for one whole hour. We were in an uber which would have cost +-R60 which ended up being R120. It wasn't fair on us or the uber driver who had to wait as we were stuck in the queue. The manager walked away from us when we wanted to sort out the situation. And was completely useless. This is absolutely disgusting in an area which is supposed to be 'top' in Cape Town.
I would like to understand what went wrong as in my eyes at this moment in time I will strongly recommend people NOT to go to your McDonald's

After some soccer matches a good quarter pounder always goes down well. Their drive through is efficient but their staff are usually impersonal and unprofessional, as expected from a fast food drive through joint. The inside is reasonably pleasurable and your greeted by that tasty, stomach desiring aroma of McDonald's.

One of the better McDonald's branches in Cape Town and located so perfects!

Enjoyed Spicy Cajun Chicken Deluxe. It was awesome !!! Ambiance as usual the best. Price same across CPT. Service was quick. Staff was courteous.

Wow..talk about #friendly!! Twas close to closing for sit-down meals (11pm weekdays, 24h sit-down weekends but always 24h #drivethru) when I arrived...don't often eat #McDonalds (last time 2+ yrs ago!), but the crew couldn't POSSIBLY have been more accommodating. I was treated with kindness, dignity, bonhomie and HEAPS of hospitality..so much so, in fact, that it put most other #CapeTown "gourmet" restos to shame! The Service Ambassadors were super smiley, joked around with me, and the Manager popped by to ensure I was happy. I would most DEF come back...just for the #service! A singularly HUGE @jamescapetown FAVE! 😁🌴🌍💜

This is the KAKEST service I have ever received in my life. We waited a half an hour to place our order and another hour in the DRIVE THROUGH for our order, they had no stock of almost everything. UTTER KAK
