Such a gem! Love this place. The decor is so beautiful, contemporary and makes you feel like you are in another world. The staff are super friendly, the baked goods are so tasty. They make the cardamon buns fresh every morning, they sell out pretty quickly. Highly recommend! It’s a small cafe with a lot of seating outside and some window seats on the side, world class! They Dont have decaf coffee, but they have an alternative that is very nice and tastes like nutty coffee.
Small trendy place. We visited the restaurant due to their good reviews. You get a glass of carbonated water on arrival. It seems it may be the trend in Cape Town. The cinnamon and cardamom bun was delicious and served with butter, wraped like a sweetie. All the bread is baked on the premises. I would suggest that they clean the tables and seating is cleaned regularly. The menu is on the wall, make your choice before you get a table.
Coffee wasn’t the best, but they made me a new one and tasted a little better.
Very friendly and helpful waiters, great atmosphere!
Avo and egg on toast was one of the best I’ve had in cake town.
The favourite spot to go for a good quality coffee in Seapoint. They also have delicious cinnamon buns. The atmosphere is lovely but it does get very busy during weekends.
Such a cool café. The coffee is really good and well made by baristas who know what they’re doing. The cortado and flat whites were both amazing.
The food was also so delicious, we had a o toast, the toasties, and the breakfast bun and they were all great.
We came here four days in a row and will keep coming back for sure.
Writing this more than 3 months after my visit. This is a nice little place but not for big groups or big families as the seating space is just enough for couple's. It's on a main road hence parking spot can be difficult to find during rush hour.
I had heard a lot about the coffee at this place hence made a special effort to drive 25+ km from west coast suburbs on a Sunday morning. I was a bit underwhelmed by the initial experience of ordering coffee and food as in most coffee places, one is informed about the choices, brews etc and even though I requested for it but probably due to the accent, it wasn't factored in.
I ordered a capuccino and avo toasts, the avo toasts were the best with generous serving of Avo's unlike most places. Capuccino was nothing special but good enough, Deluxe coffeeworks and Heaven's Cafe serve the best Capuccino's in my view. However, my second order for an Americano turned out to be great and the quality of coffee was top notch, it tasted different in a good way and the aroma was lovely.
By the time I left the place, it was buzzing with activity. I would recommend this to anyone who is visiting the sea point area. Try the Americano if you're coffee work and Avo Toasts are a must. Cinnamon rolls are also a popular dish here but couldn't try it although it looked yum. Probably a reason to come back again.
Since, Pauline's is marketed and known for coffee, my only feedback to the management or owner(s) is to educate the staff to be more proactive in informing the customers about the coffee varieties on offer.
Nice and little coffeeshop in Seapoint, the poched eggs with avo on sourbread is so good! The reuben is nice aswell but its a bit to heavy for breakfast so make sure to have it for lunch. The coffee is great aswell but a little expensive. Matcha could be better tho , but overall this place is worth 5 stars!
Oh yeah, dont forget to try the cinnamon bun, you wont regret it :)
Have a blessed day

An absolute gem in Seapoint. Everything from the food to service and drinks is fantastic, if you manage to get a table! I love to come and sit and write or daydream while staring out the window. Their iced coffee, breakfast bun, cardamom bun and other treats are to die for.
A great local coffee shop. Coffee and food were excellent, and the staff are friendly. The guy who brought our food out to us explained that the coffee was single origin from Rwanda. Avocado toast and poached eggs very good. Cardamom roll was great too. They make their own sourdough. Must try!
Beautiful small Place, friendly staff, great Coffee and good food
On this rainy day, Pauline’s was so nice to dive into. Coffee was really good and they have alternative milks (R12). Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Thanks for letting me work in the corner for probably a bit too long guys! Will definitely be back.
Very beautiful place to drink a coffee / have a snack. Friendly staff and good prices. Especially the Smashed Avo was perfect 😊 we will come back!
If you’re looking for a place to relax and read your novel or whatever, Pauline’s would be the perfect spot. They have the best coffee available and even some fresh baked goods as well. The ambiance was relaxing, and the staff are highly capable. I could not ask for more because everything that I needed was provided. Well done, guys! Keep making great coffee and pastries!
Great little gem for breakfast in Sea Point. This was just a couple blocks away from our airbnb - an easy walk along Main Road. Very friendly service, nice breakfast and coffee. Recommend the Avocado toast with egg. Unfortunately no espresso type coffee during load shedding times but only filter coffee. Not their fault of course.
Delicious avo on a toast (with perfectly cooked poached egg!). Tasty coffee & wonderful pastry. Really nice interior design. Our favorite breakfast place in Cape Town lately.
Very tasty coffee. I had the avo on toast, received a generous portion of avo with a sprinkling of sesame seeds. Wonderful.
Some feedback to improve: please include some small spoons to sprinkle the salt and pepper on the food. Better than using fingers.
Otherwise awesome.
By far one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Great coffee shop and coffee, friendly staff and great service. I went midweek and it wasn’t too busy, they also have an outdoor sitting area.
Food 5/5
Service 5/5
Lovely coffee and pastries. Breakfast bun was phenomenal.
Facilities are a little cramped if you are with a group larger than 3 or 4 and there aren’t generators so check the loadshedding schedule before heading there as you’ll only be able to order batch brew and pastries
Eventually tried Pauline's after many a recommendation and conversation about it!
Overall, I found it tasty and vibey, but maybe not what I was expecting. Seating is a major issue - I understand this is by design, but the amount of people being turned away due to lack of seating - while a good sign - also makes me think of lost potential. The garden outside in lovely to sit at, whereas the benches along the window are comically narrow. Given I am definitely broader and wider than the average, I absolutely could not fit at the table, facing forward. The window on the side and bolted tables means there's no much flexibility in terms of seating positions. So I had to turn away from the table to even fit!
Also not mad about the queueing and process behind paying. Especially as a seated customer, it's highly annoying to have to wait in line each time you order something else, and then to pay. Especially when there are queues - so all the time.
Food was nicely prepared - very plain and health - not much to look at, other than the bowl attached. Given we did ask for the Benedict without hollandaise, but overall was just a bit of a plain presentation.
Food however was tasty! And staff were super friendly too. I feel a few enhancements would really do Pauline's a favour. But what do I know? This place has been pumping since day 1!
