Portions were large. Lamb gosht medium, was excellent. I had it with garlic naan.
Samoosas very large and tasty.
The waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive.
Excellent service and tasty food. Portions are nice sized too
Loved the Sunday buffet. Really low price for excellent food.
The north Indian cuisine is very delicious in banjaara. Especially naan and tandoori chicken. Mutton curry is also nice. Very good service and and the staff is also good.
Had the prawn briyani, and though a bit "sweet", perfectly cooked. Most tender prawns ever. Did not enjoy the onion bhayija, but that's a personal issue probably. Haven't had a bad meal there ever and take aways are also well packaged and leak proof. Awesome ambience in the evening.
From the time you walk through the doors, the service is impeccable.
Your taste buds wishes, are their command.
Polite and happy staff.

Great restaurants serving excellent food. If you love curry and spice food then you will love this restaurant. Well done to Management for keeping a high standard.
Banjaara makes the absolute best butter chicken I have ever tasted, I've tried numerous other butter chickens but nobody does it better! The chicken is so succulent and soft and the sauce is so creamy and sweet. Keep up the good work and friendly service. You definitely get your money's worth at this place.
The best Butter Naan in town! We always have the lamb korma and lamb gosht badami - And we keep coming back for more! Also very convenient that they do take away, although it would be nice if they delivered like the one in Peter road.
Always amazing. I live down the road, always an easy go to for excellent food and service. The lamb is succulent and the chicken korma will always remain one of my favourite.
We eat at Banjaara town square all time. The curries are fantastic
We order the lamb or chicken Rogan Josh but have tried other dishes there
The staff are very good and you can get takeaways or dine in
If you dine in the tables are immaculate and service excellent. There is a Sunday buffet
I visited Banjaara for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It's a cosy little Indian restaurant with great food and service. We ordered the Chicken Badame, which was so delicious and full of flavour - definitely something I would order again. We also ordered the Dhal Makhnie, which is not something I would generally order but it was just as tasty! The portion sizes are decent and the prices are well worth it. The service was quick and the manager was very friendly and made sure that we were well taken care of. All in all, it's a lovely restaurant that I'd like to visit again!
Very consistent reasonable quality Indian dishes, at very affordable prices. Their Sunday buffet is great, even though their variety is a bit limited.

Finally close of third week in Johannesburg and Friday night after a very hectic day we drove to Banjaara as I had really positive reviews from my friends. It was a pity that could not try non veg as I was with a group of vegetarian friends. So grabbed the papads and ordered for veg harabhara kebabs and potato starter. Both were quite good.
For the main course we ordered a few chili garlic naan, butter naan, veg jhalfrezi, kadai paneer and dal makhani.
The platters were served quite soon enough after we ordered. The kebab was really good and the potato dry was not very spicy but was really good in taste and nicely prepared.
The dal makhani which came in a small bucket looked appealing and tasted delicious.
The kadai paneer and veg jhalfrezi was also very deliciously made only hiccup I faced it that it was a tad bit sweet So next time I will be there I am planning to ask them to prepare this dishes a bit more spicy.
But no complaints. Loved the meal. It was a great Indian diner and that too so near our place.
Would surely love to visit again to try out the non vegetarian dishes.
Had a really great evening at Banjaara with friends.
I had the lamb bhuna gosht. It was fantastic and really tasty but the medium was a little too hot for me.
Although friends that tried all the dishes declared mine to be the hottest of the lot and we all had medium heat curries.
The winning dish for the evening was the lamb gosht badami. No one complained about their dishes from the butter chicken to the chicken briyani.
Worth visiting!
Excellent food and great service. I've been going to Banjaara for a while now and can never find fault with anything there...
The food is always delicious and the portions are big enough for a hungry adult male.
They have a good variety of option on the menu from starters to desserts and everything is reasonably priced
Overall a great place for you to enjoy some Mediterranean cuisine
Banjaara is my go-to local Indian food restaurant. My favourite is the butter chicken, which is always soft and juicy. The restaurant is really popular, and gets busy over the weekends
Top Indian food with the full Indian experience. I recommend the mutton curry bunny chow and the korma curry with butter naan bread. One of my favourites.
I love Banjaara. I had their tandoori chicken with naan which comes with a butter chicken sauce. The chicken was soft, had the perfect char and was full of flavour. The sauce was great as you could soak it up with the naan.
Food is always good, both take out and sit down. The butter chicken, chicken tika and tandoori chicken are fantastic. Dhal makhni also good. Staff were extremely friendly and very attentive. My go to place for butter chicken.
We've had takeaways from banjaara so many times we could probably have traversed their ample menu a few times. Very good curries and the mild, medium, and hot levels are properly done.
Definitely recommended
Banjaara is the best take out food for a cold rainy day, or any other day to be honest. Food is excellent with great flavors! I always order the chicken korma (mild) it's perfect for someone who isn't a fan of spicy food but is still tasty and delicious.
I had the half Chicken Tandoori, and could not finish it!
The little one had chicken and chips which was divine. Chicken Tikka and lamb brews I were also worth it!
We did the sit-down, and it was very enjoyable!
The Irish Coffee at R33 each was a bit of a let- down. It was not hot enough and it was small!
Our new favourite Indian restaurant! Lovely food, great service...what more do you need?
Hidden treasure in our neighbourhood...will definitely be back soon!
Just had takeaways. The order was speedy and food was delicious! Both lamb and chicken dishes are so good. Best is for sure the lamb palak. Our complementary potato dish was missing tho:(
Amazing naan, best korma. They need to start sponsoring my Weigh-less classes!
I really like Banjaara. The food is exceptional, and we had good service too. They manage to get the taste just right, and the hotness is well-chosen too; the 'medium' strikes that perfect balance between hot and mild.
Best takeout Indian in town.
Never sat down to a meal here, but have ordered takeout many times...always quick, and the food quality is top notch. I can honestly say that we've never had a bad meal.
We are takeaway regulars and always get treated like VIPs. We are creatures of habit so our red wine is poured even before we ask for it and we always get complimentary samosas while we wait for our food. Such great service and delicious food means we'll keep on coming back every week!
Very friendly greeting from management and a delicious takeaway meal. Sit down reviews from friends paint a less-rosy picture but takeaway experience was great.
I love this place. The most amazing chicken korma in Johannesburg!!! Friendly staff with excellent service. I Highly recommended them. And now ive typed 140 characters
I visited Banjaara on a Sunday afternoon, and had their Sunday lunch buffet. I often struggle to decide what to eat at an Indian restaurant, because I am not too familiar with all the options. I was therefore very happy with the buffet, because I could try a number of different things.
We got there a little late, so some of the buffet trays were finished. However, the staff were only too happy to get the kitchen to make some more for us. It was this, and other things which make me say that Banjaara has remarkably good customer service. Very friendly staff, always following up on their customers.
The food is exceptionally good, and I had to be careful not to take too much of one tray, lest I be unable to try another. It is always nice to finish a meal with a coffee, and I definately approve of Banjaaras quality in that regard.
Overall I had a very enjoyable experience, and I certainly intend on visitting Banjaara again.
The butter chicken and naan are by far the best i have ever had...quality indian food.
Best indian food in joburg..!! Though this app calls it banjaara sign board outside the restaurant says "vikarams"
Brand new Banjaara at Florida junction. Glad there is a good Indian restaurant on the west rand. Lamb korma was brilliant backed with brilliant service
You have to try the butter chicken. have it with rice or naan. Super tasty. Great flavours. Chicken so tender it virtually melts in your mouth. im addicted
I loved the mutton korma and the tandoori chicken is yummy! The decor is great and the staff friendly!
Suddenly a consistent food source for us. Very good quality, very consistent, food is raved about by all we expose to it. Worth the visit or just for takeaways for a good curry evening
So I have been at this branch of Banjaara a few times now to sit down and eat. Food so far has been consistent and always good. The veg food and all that I write about is always up to standard and the Paneer Korma is made with cashews and not substituted with coconut, and very good. They also ask you what heat level you want in your food, for those that can stand the heat ask for hot and the food taste still comes through well and all rounded.
Some of the best Indian food in Joburg, very high quality and delicious. The Butter chicken is one of the best I have had. It is always quite busy so it can be quite slow. It is just around the corner so I have used it for take-aways. It is a little bit expensive for this purpose, but I dont think it is more expensive than other similar quality indian places, and definitely not for sitting-in.

It was an incredible experience. Fisso, our waiter, was very professional and friendly.
Good Indian food that consistently tastes the same.
Menu has a wide variety of dishes that caters for all tastes and is Hindu-friendly!
Very friendly waitrons with whom one can develop a long relationship and who remember customers' preferences.
A very cool and airy atmosphere.
(But just a word to the non-indian patrons: do NOT blow your noses at your table! Extremely poor form and uncivilized behaviour!)
Food was good.
We got the mutton vindaloo, a chicken dish and tikka salad.
Mutton was abit under cooked, but flavors were good.
Food was really good. Value for money and great service. Highly recommended.
Oh wow, this is the best buffet ever! Excellent authentic delicious Indian food and good ambience - the Sunday buffet offers such an amazing variety at the most affordable price. This is something that every lover of Indian food must experience. We will most definitely be back again on many Sundays to come
Tasty food! The platter for 1 is actually for 2 people to share. It is quiet a large portion of food to share. The roti rolls are amazing with the filling, the samosas aren't that spectacular as we all know it to be... Service is 101%. A bit pricey but worth price
If you enjoy Indian food this is the place to go. We had the Sunday Buffet, lovely selection of curries. Defiantly will go again.
What a good experience! The more common items on the menu (chicken korma, butter chicken) came very quick and were delicious as always. I ordered lamb chops and vegetables, it took bit longer but was SO worth the wait. The veggies was to die for. I would go back and have a whole bowl of that for a meal if I could! 😁 the lamb chops was also very good, a bit spicy, but still very good. Thumbs up
This is the third time we visited this specific Banjaara after discovering it a few weeks ago. The food is delicious and very fresh. We love the tasty food, the clean environment and friendly staff. They serve generous portions and it is definitely value for money…an added benefit they are even open on Sunday evenings. Highly recommended!
Some of the yummiest Indian food I've had. Portions are big enough for 2 people to share. Friendly staff. Clean and well organized.
We had the meat platter it was suppose to be lamb curry, beef curry and butter chicken but we got beef curry, chicken curry and butter chicker but it was still delicious
Went out for dinner there the other night, massive improvement on food and atmosphere from the last time. The rose water in the lassi is a nice touch, the milkshake is also great
I truly appreciated the customer experience at Banjaaras and the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the vegetarian platter which in my opinion is a real vegetarian delight
Just LOVE their Chicken Korma and Butter Chicken. I have my mild and it is .... mild.
Tasty food. Servings are generous.
Atmosphere inside the restaurant is great.....
Service is great too.
Delicious food. Excellent service. Fantastic vibe. A manager who is attentive and dedicated.
